Stopped in for dinner & sat at the bar. Very nice interior. The A/C seemed to not be working so there was a giant fan in the bar. I had to ask them to turn it down bc it was blowing so hard & I didn't want my food to get cold. We ordered a cheeseburger & a pizza. Cheeseburger wasn't bad & it came on a nice seeded role. Yes, we recommend this reimagined restaurant with its cozy pub feel elevated with a full bar and creative twist on classic dishes. The wings were crispy but the sauce which was a ranch and Bleu cheese mix was a weird flavor. Actually the wings were delicious without the sauce. The chicken on the buffalo wonton was lightly breaded and the buffalo sauce was perfect. In fact, it was so good, I used it for the wings. The cheese pizza is gooey, thin, and made in less than 3 minutes. It's not like a real Italian pizza. I probably would skip it. However, the Smashburger Eggrolls were totally delicious and outstanding. Full of flavor. We would probably get individual orders of that dish next time. Yes, those were worth it and a unique finger food. Mondays all day happy hour is a keeper! Go and you will love it! read more

I'm going back! Ambiance: New cool tavern. With lovely interior good for family and watching sports. Food: The buffalo pot stickers were ridiculous... so good! I want to go back and try more of the appetizers and the dishes. The steak sandwich was great too, everything was mixed together in it with that cheese. Just wish it had a little more steak with all the bun. The burger the wife got looked great and tasted good though not my style of burger. It was the blue cheese one. I will go back to try more! Service: Was awesome and very attentive. We had a nice gentleman whose name started with a C, it was a unique name but can't remember it at the moment. Had lunch at Tavern 83 while visiting Sarasota. Had a good lunch. I had the steak melt and it was tasty , especially with the jus dip from my wife's burger dip. We decided to try the newly opened 83 Tavern (At the previous Irish Pub) - this will be the last mention of the prior establishment as I wanted to give you an idea of where they are located. Folks, you are in for a super nice awakening. The interior is totally renovated with a new and fresh look. They still have the bar area that is the centerpiece as you walk in. They also have outdoor seating. The place gives you a warm and relaxed atmosphere with chic ambiance that is not stuffy. Monday's they have all day Happy Hour with a nice selection of bites and drinks. Plenty of seating inside and outside and the prices are very reasonable. No need to take a 2nd mortgage!! Wanted to try out this new pub/tavern based upon a friends recommendation. Went on a Monday at noon, the place was empty. We were seated quickly by our server Sidney. She pointed out the all day specials (just on Monday ~ happy hour other days) and left the full menu. We both ordered the crispy chicken tenders salad. It was a large serving but the dressing has little flavor and the chicken was very chewy (not what we expected.) Our server took to calling us "loves" which I found wholly in appropriate. Then there were constant interruptions. At the end an interruption with an apology to clear out plates (while we were talking.). I get the need sometimes when I place is busy to clear plates, but this was not the case. Then the check splitting. I said to my companion just hold till I pay my portion. Again another apology and she said "I could do this without talking", but she didn't. I appreciated the manager/owner coming over and asking what we thought of lunch. We shared the dressing experience and he seemed appreciative of the feedback. For us, it's probably a one and done. $20.00 for the chicken salad. read more

I had the The Tuna poke bowl which was good, the tuna was fresh & delicious. I would add some fresh herbs and possibly a bit more spice in the dressing! My son ordered the fish tacos which were made with Halibut and were fantastic! They came with shoe string potatoes. The sports were the best! Always liked Libby's so we were excited when they opened 83 Tavern across from our neighborhood. Went a couple of times with different neighbors since it was close, a convenient local restaurant. Last time we went the barmaid was nice, but seemed frazzled. Tuna tower was terrible, service spotty. Asked for extra chips and they finally arrived as we asked for our check ...deciding to just leave the tuna . We paid and left, but manager caught us outside.He must have sensed we weren't very happy and asked if everything was okay so we finally said we probably wouldn't be back. Told us his name and said to ask for next time and he'd make sure we were "taken care of" which was nice, but too many other great choices out there to visit. Hope they get it together. We started with the cast-iron skillet biscuit on our server's recommendation and I swear to god one bite in I was already plotting to take it home so I could eat it alone in silence for breakfast the next morning. Absolutely worth it. We also crushed the cheeseburger egg rolls, crispy fish tacos with charred broccoli, and a chopped cheese that had no business being that good. Not a single miss. The service was phenomenal (heartbroken I can't remember our server's name because he was phenomenal), and I will die on this hill: 83 Tavern has the best French fries I've ever had in my life. Tried a new place today. The staff is great. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and available. The dining room is dark & loud. The dining room is surrounded by TVs. The menu is small and odd for a dining area with sports on every large tv. There wasn't an option for something small or more reasonably priced. We thought the menu and dining ambiance was confused. We ordered the braised beef. It was beef medallions. Some were fatty. Some were dry. The mashed potatoes were loose, but good. We also ordered the ribs. The portion was large. The ribs had a sweet sauce and were good. We will try this restaurant again in a few weeks. read more

Really like the new look of the place. Seating and bar is comfortable and cozy in bar area. Nice big TVs in dining room. This could easily be our go to spot IF they would add to the menu.
