We ordered the egg rolls, America Burger and potato soup. All of the food was very tasty and the portions were a good size. Service was spot on and the food game out quickly. You can sit at the bar, inside or out side. Plain Jane interior with tv's playing sporting events. read more

Stopped in for dinner & sat at the bar. Very nice interior. The A/C seemed to not be working so there was a giant fan in the bar. I had to ask them to turn it down bc it was blowing so hard & I didn't want my food to get cold. We ordered a cheeseburger & a pizza. Cheeseburger wasn't bad & it came on a nice seeded role. My pizza was not great; not much taste to it. Manager was very nice there Would I come again, maybe. read more

We really would like to love going to this tavern since its so close to our house, but this is the second time the food has been mediocre at best. Our nachos were somewhat cold, my soup was lukewarm and finally our creme brulee didn't even have crunch scooping our spoon into it for the first time. With restaurant prices where they are it makes it hard to justify spending on mediocre meals like this. Other then the food our service was good. read more

Emma was a great waitress and a good listener! She was fun to talk to, quick to order and sweet! Food was fine and plenty! Just what we wanted on a tacos Tuesday nite! We'll be back ! Thanks for a fun dinner read more

Yes, we recommend this reimagined restaurant with its cozy pub feel elevated with a full bar and creative twist on classic dishes. The wings were crispy but the sauce which was a ranch and Bleu cheese mix was a weird flavor. Actually the wings were delicious without the sauce. The chicken on the buffalo wonton was lightly breaded and the buffalo sauce was perfect. In fact, it was so good, I used it for the wings. The cheese pizza is gooey, thin, and made in less than 3 minutes. It's not like a real Italian pizza. I probably would skip it. However, the Smashburger Eggrolls were totally delicious and outstanding. Full of flavor. We would probably get individual orders of that dish next time. Yes, those were worth it and a unique finger food. Mondays all day happy hour is a keeper! Go and you will love it! read more

I'm going back! Ambiance: New cool tavern. With lovely interior good for family and watching sports. Food: The buffalo pot stickers were ridiculous... so good! I want to go back and try more of the appetizers and the dishes. The steak sandwich was great too, everything was mixed together in it with that cheese. Just wish it had a little more steak with all the bun. The burger the wife got looked great and tasted good though not my style of burger. It was the blue cheese one. I will go back to try more! Service: Was awesome and very attentive. We had a nice gentleman whose name started with a C, it was a unique name but can't remember it at the moment. Drinks were always full and always there if we needed anything. I wish we had more restaurants like this by us in the university/Tuttle area. The bathrooms were super clean and smelled great! How often can you ever say that about a place lol read more

They've added live music and it is wonderful. Drea is a talented singer and we hope she will become a regular. The food was great -again! We had the smash-burger egg rolls and chicken tenders, which we've had before and loved. Service was great (always is) and we also appreciate the ambiance because we can sit in the bar area at comfy little tables. We love this place, and it just got better! read more

Had lunch at Tavern 83 while visiting Sarasota. Had a good lunch. I had the steak melt and it was tasty , especially with the jus dip from my wife's burger dip. It did not need the dip and was very good. Cooked medium rare as she asked. We sat outside which was enjoyable. Service was very attentive and our server was a hoot. read more

We decided to try the newly opened 83 Tavern (At the previous Irish Pub) - this will be the last mention of the prior establishment as I wanted to give you an idea of where they are located. Folks, you are in for a super nice awakening. The interior is totally renovated with a new and fresh look. They still have the bar area that is the centerpiece as you walk in. They also have outdoor seating. The place gives you a warm and relaxed atmosphere with chic ambiance that is not stuffy. Monday's they have all day Happy Hour with a nice selection of bites and drinks. Plenty of seating inside and outside and the prices are very reasonable. No need to take a 2nd mortgage!! Our server Marin was very pleasant and on top of her game!! The food is delicious and the bartenders can whip up any concoction to fit your fancy. Make it a point to visit and you won't be disappointed. read more

The staff is soo friendly & super attentive! Walking through the menu, they were so helpful. The reviews of the Buffalo Wontons were highly recommended and they were excellent! I had the The Tuna poke bowl which was good, the tuna was fresh & delicious. I would add some fresh herbs and possibly a bit more spice in the dressing! My son ordered the fish tacos which were made with Halibut and were fantastic! They came with shoe string potatoes. The sports were the best! What an awesome vibe to Watch sports and have an awesome dinner! The menu looked good with other items to try! read more

83 Tavern - Tuna Poke Bowl - New American Near Me - Sarasota, Florida

Wanted to try out this new pub/tavern based upon a friends recommendation. Went on a Monday at noon, the place was empty. We were seated quickly by our server Sidney. She pointed out the all day specials (just on Monday ~ happy hour other days) and left the full menu. We both ordered the crispy chicken tenders salad. It was a large serving but the dressing has little flavor and the chicken was very chewy (not what we expected.) Our server took to calling us "loves" which I found wholly in appropriate. Then there were constant interruptions. At the end an interruption with an apology to clear out plates (while we were talking.). I get the need sometimes when I place is busy to clear plates, but this was not the case. Then the check splitting. I said to my companion just hold till I pay my portion. Again another apology and she said "I could do this without talking", but she didn't. I appreciated the manager/owner coming over and asking what we thought of lunch. We shared the dressing experience and he seemed appreciative of the feedback. For us, it's probably a one and done. $20.00 for the chicken salad. read more

I enjoyed a good mojito. The braised beef and red mashed potatoes was super yummy, Hubby had fish and chips and was equally impressed with his meal. Reasonable prices good food and cozy atmosphere. read more

Limited menu but excellent quality food and prompt friendly service. Prices surprising very reasonable. Will definitely return.

Went for the first time and it was great. Had prime rib which was a little pricey but excellent. The chicken Milanese was great too but too much food!! Our waitress was lovely and the attentiveness of the manager and the rest of the staff was wonderful. We'll be back! read more

I had a feeling based on the pics that the food would be great. It definitely was. You can tell they use quality ingredients and place a lot of attention in their preparation. New restaurant in town. The service was very good and the food was terrific. I got the tuna tower. It had the taste of guac with decedent tuna cubes which i loved. It's one of their appetizers it would be great for sharing. But i got it as my meal and it totally hit the spot! The menu is not large but the variety is there and it doesn't have to be a large menu to be good. I will be back read more

We had a wonderful Saturday evening dinner at 83 Tavern. The food (fish and sides were abundant and well prepared) was delicious, the service unobtrusive but caring (thank you, Zach!) and the atmosphere (we sat outdoors in the dark at a nice little table) was extremely pleasant. It was our first visit to 83 Tavern but we cannot wait to dine there again soon. Heartily recommended! read more

Always liked Libby's so we were excited when they opened 83 Tavern across from our neighborhood. Went a couple of times with different neighbors since it was close, a convenient local restaurant. Last time we went the barmaid was nice, but seemed frazzled. Tuna tower was terrible, service spotty. Asked for extra chips and they finally arrived as we asked for our check ...deciding to just leave the tuna . We paid and left, but manager caught us outside. He must have sensed we weren't very happy and asked if everything was okay so we finally said we probably wouldn't be back. Told us his name and said to ask for next time and he'd make sure we were "taken care of" which was nice, but too many other great choices out there to visit. Hope they get it together. Convenient location for us. read more

Back at 83 Tavern again because apparently I don't learn. We started with the cast-iron skillet biscuit on our server's recommendation and I swear to god one bite in I was already plotting to take it home so I could eat it alone in silence for breakfast the next morning. Absolutely worth it. We also crushed the cheeseburger egg rolls, crispy fish tacos with charred broccoli, and a chopped cheese that had no business being that good. Not a single miss. The service was phenomenal (heartbroken I can't remember our server's name because he was phenomenal), and I will die on this hill: 83 Tavern has the best French fries I've ever had in my life. Consistently insane food, top-tier service, and the kind of place that makes you cancel other dinner plans because nothing else will compare. read more

Were seated outside - waited over 25 min - no one came over for drinks or order - left. 3 staff standing at host stand chatting away.

Want to give you 5 stars but can not at this time. Wayyy too loud in this restaurant ! Been there several times with friends and very difficult to have a conversation within your group. Food is good but the loudness makes for a bad experience. Next time we'll try outdoor seating, although it is overlooking the parking lot read more

We had such a great dinner here! Slightly loud inside with a dinner crowd but sitting outside was delightful. Food was out quickly, our server McKayla was really great, and everything was delicious! Tried a new place today. The staff is great. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and available. The dining room is dark & loud. The dining room is surrounded by TVs. The menu is small and odd for a dining area with sports on every large tv. There wasn't an option for something small or more reasonably priced. We thought the menu and dining ambiance was confused. We ordered the braised beef. It was beef medallions. Some were fatty. Some were dry. The mashed potatoes were loose, but good. We also ordered the ribs. The portion was large. The ribs had a sweet sauce and were good. We will try this restaurant again in a few weeks. read more

Really like the new look of the place. Seating and bar is comfortable and cozy in bar area. Nice big TVs in dining room. This could easily be our go to spot IF they would add to the menu. My wife and I went there twice last week with another couple and loved everything we ordered. I especially liked the crispy chicken salad and the Tavern Special pizza. We were eager to try out a new local place. The "Libby's" family knows how to do it right. Many items on the menu sounded appealing but I needed pizza. Pepperoni did not disappoint. Good service from Rebecca. The outside seating looked appealing, granted it is a parking lot but they have nice greenery and not a heavily trafficked area. We will return.
