If you want extra sauce, they will gladly give it to you. What I really like is when you ask for crispy wings, they are actually crispy. It's a nice layout lots of televisions everywhere since it's a sports bar. While we didn't. Have wings the Beef on Weck was good. The chicken finger sandwich (grilled) was just a long strip of chicken and I expected different so it was unimpressive. I love that Duff's is in Sarasota now! I used to go to Duff's every time I had to go to Buffalo on business and have always enjoyed their wings. Last night was my third time there in three weeks. The wings and the Service are great, the place is always clean and the ambience is very upbeat. Unfortunately, I am only giving three stars because I believe their kitchen is not functioning very well. Last night was the third time in three visits that I had to wait an unusually long time for my wings. I was at a large table last night and people ordered both wings and other items on the menu and my plate was actually the last one to be delivered after everybody had started to eat their dinner. Tuesday nights are a wing special night, 10 wings for $10 which was a great surprise as I went there last night, not expecting it. I do not understand if you're gonna run a wing special why it would still take 25 minutes for 10 wings. I normally get them well done and sometimes expect to wait 15 to 20 minutes, but last night, based on my previous experience on the time it takes wings to come out of the kitchen, I did not ask them to be well done... And it took longer! This is the first chicken wing specialty restaurant that cannot seem to cook wings in a realistic amount of time. I'm surprised that they are not par cooked so they take less time when they get an order. I will go back, but I will also tell folks who asked me about the place that they need to be patient and not go there hungry. I hope they really get their act together in the kitchen! read more

Food was average the couple times I've been, wings were not overly flavorful and there top 3 hot options are nothing to sweat about. The servers are all very nice and helpful tho with good service. They do offer all the sport games so that is a plus, more of a sports bar with a restaurant. The one thing I've had that was decent was their chicken sandwich with a sauce from the wing menu. I REALLY wanted to like this place, I really did. We love wings and this is close to home, but it was a real disappointment. From the second we walked in (2pm on a Friday) it was real quiet, only 2 tables and 4 ppl at the bar yet we didn't get greeted and stood around for a few minutes until someone acknowledged us and told us to sit wherever. We each ordered a beer, prices significantly higher than surrounding places, $5.50 for a 13oz mug of Yuengling (this is the price for a pint anywhere else -if it reaches that high). We definitely wanted to try the wings so we ordered 10 wings ($18.50) and a side of fries ($3.99). We also got an appetizer of fries pickles ($10.49) as a suggestion from the bartender, these were a small bowl of pre-made frozen pickle chips with runny ranch served on the side. The wings were tiny (see pic) with minimal flavor and the fries were shoe string style but were missing a sprinkle of salt. Pictured is $30.50 worth of food (wings $18.49, fries $3.99, Coors banquet draft $8). We found it to be very overpriced and not worth the hype at all. Came back for my sons birthday party. We had 19 people. We originally had a reservation for 17 but another couple joined us. We asked to add another table and there were others available but they refused. So two people had to sit in a booth near by. REALLY!!! All the wings were great. The Beef on Weck had a lot of chewy meat and I wouldn't recommend. The service was not good. Tables were not cleared,buckets for eaten wings were not emptied and no one asked how our food was. They did a great job decorating inside and they have an extensive lines of draft beer served in cold glasses. Being from Buffalo we enjoyed all the Buffalo memorabilia. read more

So glad that a great WNY restaurant is open here in Sarasota! We stopped in for a late lunch, and were promptly greeted. Put in an order for drinks and Brussel sprouts appetizer (delicious!). We ordered the lunch beef on weck and mild wings - the wings were done to perfection. They asked what sort of dressing we wanted - bleu cheese, of course (that's not a question back home)! The BoW was good, but we didn't feel the roll was a 100% WNY kimmelweck - the roll did not have the texture of WNY rolls, and the salt was white, not translucent. They also didn't automatically offer horseradish. It was a good sandwich, but not a "10". Overall, we are happy that Duff's is here, and we will return - most likely for wings, as they are among only a few places that know how to make them very close to WNY-style. read more

I've been anxiously waiting to try Duff's and decided to go for lunch today. Arrived around noon to a sign that they open at 3. Strange time to open, but ok...We ran some errands then came back at 3:00. Ordered some wings, all drums, and a beef on weck, salad, and some chicken tenders. The first plate they brought was either someone else's or they just messed up. They took it away then brought my wings and fries. The fries were cold. The carrots were oxidized. Use some cold water and they won't turn white. Later my wife's salad arrived. Not a fan of Frisée lettuce but that's more on us. Then my daughter's chicken tenders arrived. Literally just 3 chicken breasts breaded. They belonged more on a sandwich than as a tender. These were huge. Then the beef on weck arrived. I'm not exaggerating. The food all came out randomly over 5 - 10 minutes. I'm more a fan of...we all are eating together. Bring the food together. I guess I had really built this place up in my mind, but the wings were just ok. Not very big and over cooked. I've had better at Hooters. I REALLY wanted these to be something special, but it's just another average wing place. I would say I'd be back just to drink beer, but at 8.50 for a Yuengling I'll likely pass. We've been twice now, and both visits have been excellent! On our second trip, I could tell they've already dialed things in even more -- especially the speed in the kitchen. That kind of improvement this early says a lot. The wings were extra crispy just like we requested, which I really appreciate. That's a huge pet peeve of mine when restaurants ignore that request -- but not here. They nailed it. We're spicy people, so we went with Extra Hot and Death. The Death definitely brings a serious kick, and we loved it. I also respect that they're taking the time to get everything right before fully rolling into lunch and to-go service instead of rushing it. That attention to detail shows. The wings and burgers are absolutely the best in town, especially the Barbecue Grilled!! The entire staff has been incredible on every single visit so far. If I had any issues with Duffs is, they advertise 2 Bars, and the back bar with great TVs and high tops has been closed EVERY TIME!!! We will 100% return anytime we visit the area! Only con was that we had a digital gift card and weren't able to use it. We redeemed the card for this business specifically after it was recommended to us and since we dont live in the area it was disappointing that we couldnt use it. Haven't had really good wings since I went to Duff's in Buffalo. These were just as good as I remember, cooked to crispy perfection. Fries were very good too. Onion rings were a little greasy for my liking. My husband fell in love with the beef on weck, which did take a while to arrive but was worth the wait. The boneless wings were also overcooked and dry. The flavor was mild-medium but not saucy, it must have been a dry rub. The room we were in had at least 3 TVs all with their volumes up high. Very odd, it forced people to try and talk over the tv noise. Most restaurants have the games on but but the volume. Arrived about 6:15 without a reservation, our bad. Was told about 30 minutes. Not bad, it was busy. One hour and 15 minutes later we were seated. About the wings. We are frequent "flyers" at Duff's on Sheridan in Buffalo, we know what they should be. The medium were mild, not much different than the mild. Could have been crispier too. They were good, just not Duff's good. Need some improvement, but i think in another month they'll get it down. We ordered the large string fries, yikes should have stayed with the small.
