Everyone was so nice when we arrived, helping us get settled and brightening our day. It was our first visit and I really liked how the place looked inside. There are enough TVs to be considered a sports bar and there is a large bar, but there are also lots of booths and some tables. Their menu included enough items I would have liked to try that it did make the choice difficult, finally deciding on one of their Monday specials, Nanci's Homemade Lasagna with Garlic Bread and a House Salad. We also got their Loaded Potato Skins with Cheese, Chives, and Bacon. The potato skins were really slices of a skin on baked potato with toppings and not what we were expecting of a dug out potato skin with butter and stuff inside, but I like how they did it. I wasn't overly impressed with the lasagna, I've had better at Italian restaurants, but I was impressed with the price. For $11.95 including a small salad and a piece of good garlic bread, this deserves 5 stars as a decent value meal. read more

It was our first visit but we met some friends who are frequent visitors. Our Waitress was great, she met us with a smile on her face, she made sure our glasses were never empty. Took out their wings, very good! Place was very busy, but my order was ready exactly on time! If you want them crispy, open the containers on your way home, so the steam doesn't make them soggy. We had two versions, one garlic dry rub, and the other a buffalo sauce. Used to be one of my favorite places. Went in today and bar is packed, unfortunately for me so I sat at a table by myself.. waitress Michelle was awesome, and she kept apologizing about the delay in drinks. Food came out and was hot and delicious. Ordered another drink... waiting... so decided to go to bathroom and as I'm passing Michelle was asking where's her drink for me... no response. Drink was there when I returned to table. Three of us came in for a first time lunch. what a pleasant bar/restaurant to go to. Clean. waitress/barmaid took awhile to serve us, Three groups of people were there. we waited. Drinks good, beer cold and the food was great. I had a Reuben and it was fresh and delicious. The other two in my party shared a sandwich. Great place to eat, would go there again. This is a neighborhood bar, so don't expect great food. Nice, friendly atmosphere, cold beer, lots of TVs. The garnishes in the Bloody Mary were dried out. Super loud to us and we were not happy with our meals. The fish was greasy and the burger was very pink and had no cheese even though it was requested as a well done cheeseburger. I really like this place, but on 9/14, we had the filet mignon special. I ordered mine medium rare, and it was rare. I ate it anyway. My dining companion ordered hers medium well, and it came out medium rare. It had to be sent back twice. The second time, it came out butterflied so it could cook. It had to be at least 20 minutes or more. The gravy for the mashed potatoes had to have been made from a packet. It was extremely salty. I heard a waitress tell the bartender that another table had to be compensated when their food came out with the wrong doneness. That was not offered to us. read more

Went to Kelsey's on a Sunday afternoon to get some wings, fry's and beer. While we watched the football games. The beer was cold, and the French fries were hot, but the service was very slow. I saw two turtles working in the kitchen, so I knew something was afoot. When we finally saw our server, she never returned for check pick up. We left a tip and payment at the bar. Friday night for fish. We both ordered a root beer in a frosted mug. It came and there was an off taste which we couldn't drink! Both my husband and I ordered two pieces of fish. The first pieces of fish were great, juicy and I was hopeful, but both of our second pieces were overcooked , dry and you couldn't even eat it. Told the waitress and she brought my husband a new piece, but she said she could see some flakes inside mine even though it was so overcooked I couldn't eat it. We were introduced to Kelsey's by friends about a month ago. What a pleasant find. The food is excellent. So far we have enjoyed the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and brown gravy, cheeseburgers with homemade chips, boneless wings and the hamburger steak. We thoroughly enjoyed all. The staff all seem to enjoy their jobs. They are helpful, attentive and cordial. Last but not least Kelsey's is one of few places that serves Wicked Weed IPA!! Mediocre food...do NOT try their prime rib, beef tacos (just crumbled up non seasoned ground beef) and do NOT buy a shot for you and your partner and then get charged for a shot for the whole bar including the bartender that had NO problem putting it ALL on my tab without bothering to ask me. I was really hoping this would be another option in Bradenton but in reality just another fail. Where are all of the good bars? The ONLY one I can think of is Clancy's where they don't rip you off. They have great prices for their wings on Wednesdays. However, they aren't good. My wings looked old like they had freezer burn prior to being fried. The wing sauce is mediocre and their loaded fries reminded me of a young child learning how to chop onion and tomatoes because of how terrible and big it was all chopped. Plus, they're not good. We had the best service from them last month. We dined with them on a Friday, it was VERY busy, and we didn't get food for over an hour, but the waitstaff was attentive, brought us a complimentary drink for our patience, and when our fish and chips arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that it WAS worth the wait. Very tasty. We've been back on less busy days and the food was very good those days as well. Food was good as was Courtney like always. The new "night time bar manager" was an idiot. Cussing at staff in front of customers dropping f bombs refusing to make their drinks. We had to keep going to the bar to get our drinks cause he refused to make drinks she rang in. He called our whole table "bitchy and opinionated " loud enough for everyone to hear. After a member of our party went up to tell him how it wasn't cool that he basically made the server break down and start crying. All the comments he made so inappropriate telling her how she's gonna be gone soon etc. not a good look for Kelsey's. May want to look at who you have as the face of your restaurant. Do better. Writing this review is a letdown. A couple of family members and I are regulars here and we've always enjoyed the food and great, friendly service, and amazing value. I wish I could give them 5 stars. However...this past week we went in for their $.45 wing night as we often do. We placed our usual order and, as usual, asked for the wings to be cooked 'well done'. We were refused and told that despite this never being an issue before, they now cook all the wings for the same amount of time on their wing night. The problem here is that the wings come out just cooked enough to eat, but not crispy at all and the fat under the skin is always *very* undercooked. I spoke with the manager about it and despite letting her know that the wings are no longer enjoyable when not cooked enough and we'd have to consider no longer coming in, she merely shrugged and offered nothing more than a sheepish apology. We made sure to go in as often as we could during the pandemic to help keep them open and now asking for wings to be cooked a bit longer is too much to ask? Very disappointing. read more

My family and I normally have a great experience. We believe her name to be Tammy she was our server a few day's ago. She was a bit off and slow as well as forgetful on many items we asked for she also took my food and drink away when I wasn't done, and then she was very rude about it. I have seen the food pictures from this establishment on Facebook and everything looks delicious so today my husband and I decided to drive to Bradenton and try it. When we pulled into the little strip mall I noticed first the sign look like it had been painted in years. All you could see is the K and the E really. It just looks dumpy from the outside.I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover however we decided to pass on by.
