We visited Five Nine for the first time for an early dinner. We liked the place as we walked in, friendly greetings with help to get us settled. The restaurant had a nice organized feel. It isn't a small place yet also not a large venue I would associate with a sports bar. There were TVs showing sports, I faced two, but there wasn't wall to wall screens. It was just a nice bar & grill for good food with friends and some TVs with sports on. They also offer outdoor seating. Saying good food is an understatement, it was really good food and plenty of it. Normally I would have tried the burger named after the restaurant, but that one read pretty ordinary. Right below on the menu was their Farmhouse Burger, and that was not ordinary. In addition to the burger patty it had pulled pork, lots of pulled pork, BBQ sauce (smoky ranch?), a couple of battered onion rings, bacon, cheddar cheese, and to balance everything out, lettuce. This was a tall and outstanding burger. I selected their Cheesy Corn as my side, that was not ordinary either and I loved it too. I finished my meal with Carrot Cake, a large enough to share piece that I liked. I didn't actually finish eating all my food, which is unusual for me, but it shows the big heavy burger and the large dessert was substantial for a single meal. Service was great to start but disappointing later. To be fair, given our not typical seating requirements we were in the back part of the dining area behind a low wall, so kind of out of sight from all the action in the front. Out of sight and possibly out of mind, because it was a long stretch from when we stopped eating our main course until I finally stood up to get our servers' attention. So good reviews and we were in the area so why not. For a Sunday football day was surprised (and relieved) it wasn't a typical rowdy sports bar. The hostess look around 12 years old but I'm sure she was older. Took into table near the back and stood there for a while not sure if we could sit there but she left if there anyway. Few minutes later a woman came out of the bathroom and this was her table she had gotten up for a minutes. She moved no big deal but after that we were kind of ignored for about 10 minutes before we asked if we were to get sevice. Menu was some good choices we got the French Dip with onion rings and the Grouper sandwich with a side Caesar. The salad wasn't much to write home about but the onion rings were really fresh hot and good. The dip was good as well and while grouper was a nice sized piece I've never really had one shaped like a thick oblong square. Kind of awkward as I had to perform surgery on it to even sit on the roll. All in all not a bad meal a nice place but the small issues don't make it an 4 or 5. read more

We ( my husband and I) went to Five Nine this past Tuesday, "burger night". Our first experience in this establishment, was great!! Beautiful atmosphere, tv's hung everywhere for the sports enthusiasts. The actual Bar is small, Bradenton locals love to sit at the Bar (lol), with that said, there are a few large high top tables available for the crowd who enjoys a high "bar type" seat. Great food, the apps awesome, and $1 off "Happy Hour" drinks until 6pm, what more could you ask for? My mint cookie Martini - Awesome. And Yes, everything we ordered was delicious, devoured and yummy! I must also note the place is very clean, the women's bathroom immaculate, and I personally saw a young man, employed there, stop in his tracks to pick up a piece of paper. Now, I'm sure you will agree that is impressive on a busy night! All the staff were so very friendly. We were even invited back for Brunch on the weekend, by our lovely waitress, who said, "You two must come back for Brunch over the weekend, it's a different menu, Mimosas and Bloody Mary's WILL BE SERVED. So, guess where I'm headed today. Sunday Brunch... here we come!! Definitely recommend, totally expected another grand experience! We were not disappointed!! We invited another couple. Yes, a grand Brunch Menu, the experience by all 4 of us, was perfect. I, myself was immediately drawn to the Monte Cristo sandwich! Not often on a menu and most certainly my favorite. This sandwich in my past experience is usually served with a strong Swiss cheese, and a choice of ham or syrup. I asked for Extra cheese. And a side of syrup. I was slightly disappointed, it was served to me with extra American Cheese. I did get my syrup and included jam. So, I won't complain, it was still very good, and I suppose the cheese choice is likely a matter of taste. With that said; the entire table agreed. This is an awesome place to eat.... With a diverse menu, daily and slightly different with the Brunch Menu on the weekends. We will frequently partake in this restaurant's specials and certainly find more favorite meals. I've been to this restaurant three times now, and they never miss! Their sweet potato fries are dusted with powder sugar, making them a sweet side to accompany a dish. I ordered the french dip, which was amazing, and would 100% get again. My mom ordered a chipotle power bowl, which was good but not something we would get again. At my previous visits, I got the BBQ mac and the farmhouse burger which were both delicious. Service is standard but definitely a place I'd recommend to others! read more

So this is my second time actually, I had lunch a few days ago and I ordered the taco salad. It was delicious! The shell was crispy and the beef had the perfect amount of spice. Tonight we celebrated a birthday and for dinner tonight I ordered the Tuesday special which is a cheeseburger. So many cheeses to choose from. It was very good and I had onion rings instead of fries, my hubs got the fries and I gotta tell you, the BEST fries you have ever tasted. Crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. I ordered a Pineapple UpsideDown Martini. I don't like flavored Vodka but the drink was pretty good not great. I wouldn't order that again. All in all good food, the vibe is great and casual attire is acceptable. Christine was our server and she was amazingly friendly and very helpful. The only thing that they must work on is the seating. The chairs are like something out of a prison. Very hard and uncomfortable. We would have stayed longer but we were so uncomfortable. The menu has creative options like my choice, the chicken cordon bleu melt, the buffalo chicken mac and cheese, a turkey burger with bacon and teriyaki and the chicken and waffle sliders. Went here based on high reviews online about great food. We were not disappointed at all. We all had hamburgers and they were done wonderfully. Awesome seasoned fries not dried out. The dressing for the salad was ranch which you could tell was fresh made as well as the smoked ranch on my burger. Steve was our waiter and did a great job for his 1st day. When one of asked for fried onions for her hamburger and it came out with onion rings he brought out the fried onions in 2 minutes. Tried this place last night for the first time , the menu had a lot of different food for everyone but decided to try the Wednesday special chicken parm . And my friend tried the taco salad with beef. My chicken wasn't great , half of it was not chicken probably bones or fat still not sure and the bread was not edible it tasted so charred. The pasta was just ok. My friend said the taco salad was good but was very dry and missing some kind of dressing. We will give them another try . The waitress was wonderful. read more

The entire dish along with the rice was so salty that a quarter of the dish could not even be finished. There were four of us, two had burgers and were outstanding, one person had the Monte Cristo (yes old school) and I had the breaded tenderloin sandwich which was massive (I'm an Indiana guy) and the best I've ever had in my life, anywhere including Indiana. We came here during our weekend visit to Bradenton. We tried this place both for a late lunch and a carryout dinner. Our family tried the burgers which were cooked exactly as specified and the chipotle bowl with chicken. We also had the giant pretzel. All the food came out quickly, the servers were very attentive, and the restaurant was clean. For dinner, we got the salmon BLT and an order of their wings.
