Fresh Maine Lobster dinner at the Cortez Clam Factory.
Chris H.

Wednesday nite is Maine Lobster nite. Outstanding in every way. I'm from Maine so I'm rather particular. I'm overwhelmed with the quality and on-point service. Marlena has been our server the past two times and she is absolutely wonderful.

Cali calamari

Stopped in for a quick pick up for take out. Saw the Cali calamari on the menu ask for a quick description and decided to check it out. For $16 I will get this again and again and again. Amazing.

This was our go to restaurant, exceptional food and service. They had music on the weekends, which was awesome. Cold beer and a good pour on the mixed drinks. We originally wandered into CCF because of the parking lot was full, I've always thought that, if the local residents go there, it must be good. CCF did not disappoint us. Occasional the proprietor would stop by and ask us how the food and service was, he was a delight to talk with. Though we didn't utilize it, they have an outdoor dining area as well.

This place was cool to hang out. The service was great. They have tvs to watch sports and a great selection of drinks.

Full belly Ipswich fried clams
Honest O.

Fantastic. I ordered the Ipswich full belly fried clams and they were amazing. I am originally from Boston and it is very hard to find quality New England clams in Florida. We also ordered the chicken salad croissant and that was terrific. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly be back for Wednesday lobster night and Friday cod night.

Fish tacos. The grouper sandwich comes with French fries and coleslaw. You shouldn't have to ask, it says it comes on the menu.

I've been there a few times. I usually get the fish tacos. They're usually good. Last time they tasted extra fishy and not so fresh. I asked the bartender Mike about it. He went and spoke with the owner; I saw him talk with him. The owner never came by to talk with me and discuss the problem; he ignored it. I'm not going to go back.,This is a local business I'd like to patronize but I don't like "fishy" fish. The bar was not so busy but the service was a bit s l o w.

This is a great go to bar/restaurant. Great bartenders and great food! I had the special "Triple Tail" it was awesome, I ate every bit of it! I have never had a bad meal here ever!

Menu. They also have daily specials.

The seafood accompaniment was adequate and filling. Also had a side house salad, which seemed fresh and also very nice. Good wine selection and I can't complain about the beer that I ordered. If you're comparing to a top ranked seafood restaurant in Miami or Tampa, look elsewhere. The prices were fair and I would probably go back there if I were in town again. The only weird part was the service. It was great for the first 45 minutes and then the waitress just literally disappeared. Mike was gone for 20 minutes until we finally had to ask another waiter for our check. They probably could've gotten me for a few more drinks if they had tried. I was going to get three stars, but I think they do deserve four stars for overall experience.

We got the deviled eggs, octopus, and then I got the snapper. The octopus was the star and had a lot of flavor. The deviled eggs were just alright and the snapper was great. Their other menu seemed to be better but it was cool to try new things. We love the view from this place and bridge street is a great place to be with shops and ice creams surrounding it.

The Buc's game HAPPENED to be delayed for rain with only two minutes left in the game. They would not play the cowboy game with sound since they were waiting on the rain delay for the Buc's. Instead, we had to listen to bar music while we watch the cowboy game on several of the TVs. This is a great place with a great vibe, but they could not make an exception during the rain delay we even suggested that it was OK to put the Buc's game back on once it started back up. They still wouldn't do it. Later they played a few minutes of the second quarter, then suddenly it switched to the Bravo channel (The real Housewives)There weren't very many other games playing on the other TVs. Most of the TVs had the Cowboys game on. Before the second half was over, we found a place down the street that put it on all their tv's with the sound. (Packer Bar). Our server was really sweet and very attentive. The food was excellent as well. Our bartender made me a perfect skinny cosmo. I would come back for food and drinks... just be careful about the game you want to see when you go on game day.

The house-made chips and dipping sauce were a great addition. I also loved reading the story behind the restaurant. They have a few picnic tables out front and more seating inside. We got a parking spot no problem and went inside. It is an order at the counter place with a dark wood feel. This is not your typical BBQ place, their website describes their restaurant as fast casual + BBQ fusion. Many traditional BBQ items such as ribs and baked beans are not on the menu, yet they offer other items like a Cuban sandwich. I went BBQish and ordered their Double Brisket Burger, and Canadian with a large order of Poutine. I recommend checking out the menu before you go the first time just to make sure you see something you want. My brisket burger was very tender and easy to eat. I liked it even though the caramelized onion added a burnt taste. It was a lot of food. The flavor of the poutine was subtle, and was a lot of fries. High marks on their Cuban sandwich from my dinner companion. I liked the place, liked the people, liked the other customers who we chatted with. We are local but seldom make it out to the beach so nice vacation vibes rubbed off on us as well. We left full and happy.

Highlights are lots of great tables with…read moreviews of sunsets over the Gulf of America and world class service by Chris who was hustling taking care of so many in the heat and doing it with a smile on his face. Nicely done! The views of the water and dolphins are amazing around sunset. Food: Decent in my most recent visit. The fish grouper tacos can be fried, grilled or blackened. The meat was huge, not just scraps like at some places but large pieces that barely fit in the taco shell. The toppings had hot peppers that overpowered the taste. The provided green sauce was also a bit spicy but comes on the side so you can apply just the right amount or none at all. At $30 this was a bit steep for tacos with a scoop of rice. My friend had grilled Red Snapper that was good. At $38 this is near the top range of filet pricing. Alcohol: I tried the "Meet Your Bahama Mama" which was nicely prepared @ $12. My friend ordered a custom drink with DOUBLE shot that was properly made but wasn't entirely finished. It was a bit more subdued vs the Mama. I tried it and couldn't tell there was two shots... $15 for the later. Water: they don't offer tap water, instead charging $2 for bottled water. One star off for this. I was finished with my cocktail early and sat the next hour with nothing to drink. Parking: free across the street in the lot on the north side. However there are numerous trailers blocking parking spots and others are labeled "compact" so when it gets busy you might need to pay at the adjacent lot. On a Tuesday in the offseason there were free spots available. The restaurant also has a large area under a tiki roof that is really beautiful with numerous TVs playing sports. This area has huge ceiling fans keeping things cooler than the tables out near the water. One star off for a super bad fly problem that occurs when your food arrives. We spent an hour waving our hands over our plates. At times there were ten flies trying to land on the food. We asked if they had the fly fans some places have, but none are available. As bad as this is why haven't they invested in some of these battery powered fans that really work well? Amazon sells battery and rechargeable versions for $6 each. Total for 2 entrees, 2 alcoholic drinks & 1 water with 20% tip: $126. Yikes! Justifies my 3 star rating. They also hit you with a 3% credit card charge. Ridiculous for a place already charging high prices. Just screams cheap nickle and diming. The current Yelp score for this restaurant is just over 2 stars. Our experience was better thanks to Chris and the amazing sunset.
