My husband and I have eaten here twice while visiting Calusa and it does not disappoint. I actually haven't tried their seafood but plan to on the next visit. Absolutely love their vegetarian, house made, black bean burger. Great flavor variety and super fresh. We've tried both of their fries and they're also great. My husband has enjoyed their burgers and chicken sandwich. Such a great way to have lunch or dinner with a fresh craft beer inside (or outside) the brewery. Cant wait to return!

I liked my food. I ordered their signature sandwich called The PigFish, a blue Cobia fish sandwich with in addition to the typical lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle toppings, included a good amount of bacon tartar sauce. The two firm pieces of fish were what they describe "house blackened", which I didn't notice but I often don't notice lightly blackened fish seasoning. The sandwich came with a side, I selected their side Caesar, which I was also satisfied with. My wife was less impressed with her Fish & Chips, an oily thicky battered fish served with steak fries. PigFish is an order at a counter including providing a phone number, and you pick up your food when you get a text that it's ready. I did see a couple of people that looked like servers, but they must be part of the Calusa Brewing Taproom. The tables are shared between the two parts of the business. There was live entertainment, a three piece group playing lounge style music. I liked listening to it. Our timing may have been bad, when we figured out what we wanted and headed to the counter, there was a line that took 15 minutes, followed by another 15 minutes before our food was ready. I saw other times there was no line. For us it was a 30 minute wait.

My wife and I stopped here over the weekend. Located in the Calusa Brewing Taproom. They have their own counter to order the food. We ordered a PigFish which is crispy braised pork with fixings on a 8" Hoagie. Very tasty but not worth $24. My wife ordered a Beef & Cheddar for $19.This sandwich is made with Braised Short Ribs grilled onions, Cheddar and their secret sauce. This was also very tasty. They share the interior with the bar and it's nothing special. If the prices don't bother you I would definitely give it a shot.

Came in for a late lunch. Not many people here. Table ordered two lunch special double smash burgers with a side of fries and a salad and two diet cokes. The food was really quite excellent - everything fresh, hot and perfectly cooked. The beef was definitely a higher quality than the usual restaurant burger. Chocolate cookie was just okay. With tip and tax, it was $61. Kind of high for counter service lunch, but much tastier than a chain burger.

So good. Great beer, great food. Super fun to hang out and get a quick bite and a drink. Their interpretation of a po boy is good, though I wish it was bigger. The bread is excellent. The Nashville fish sandwich is good, though I wish it was spicier. The pigfish is yummy. I like the wedge fries more than the seasoned fries. The blistered shishitos are fun to eat. Highly recommend.

We've dined here twice and enjoy the ability to get a good meal along with our Calusa brews. The menu is a little pricey, but offers a good selection of seafood and sandwiches. The Nashville fish sandwich is our favorite - the bread has the perfect amount of crisp and the spice is just right. My little one also really enjoyed her massive kids chicken sandwich. I would avoid anything fried here - both the fish and chips and hush puppies had a greasy, oily flavor to them. The hushpuppies are a sort of funnel cake fluff to them that was odd. Overall, pigfish has lots of positives and we will continue to try their menu when we visit Calusa.

This place is a good local place to spend an afternoon. There is a main bar and side bar, also a private room for events. Another smaller room with long booth. Service amenable. I tried cider and cookie. Cider was nice and cold. Took chocolate chip cookie to go and really wished I had it warm. Had cinnamon flavor which I liked but not for everyone. Nice covered outdoor area. Great parking lot with plenty of spaces and newly paved.

The outdoor Tiki area wrapped around the building and had a fun, relaxed vibe that made a great first impression. Our waitress, Rhonda, was excellent. She was friendly, answered all our questions, and knew the menu inside and out. What We Ordered: * Clam Chowder * Lobster Bisque * Maine Lobster Dinner with Corn on the cob and Coleslaw * Phil's Steamer Pot with half Lobster, Corn on the cob, Potatoes, Andouille Sausage, Clams, and Mussels Food Highlights: The soups came out first, and both were excellent. The Clam Chowder was topped with Bacon and Chives. It was the best we've had since moving to Florida--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The Lobster Bisque was Creamy and equally delicious, with great flavor and tasty pieces of Bread mixed in. Our entrées arrived quickly, and we loved both dishes. The Lobster was cooked perfectly in both meals, and everything in Phil's Steamer Pot was hot, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. My wife, who is from Maine, said it was the best Lobster she has had in this area. Even the sides--the Corn on the cob and Coleslaw--were very good, and the Beer was served ice cold. One more thing each table featured a fish dip and crackers--an extra touch we really enjoyed. Fish Market and Final Verdict: Before leaving, we stepped inside to look at the Fish Market and were impressed by how fresh everything looked. The selection was large and added even more to the overall experience. This place was a pleasant surprise and delivered across the board with great Service, Food, Drinks, and Atmosphere. It easily ranks among my top 10 places to visit in the Sarasota area, and I can't wait to go back. For me, Walt's Fish Market earns 5 out of 5 stars. Gulf Coast Terry

There was a short wait to be seated, enough time for us to go back to the courtyard and listen to some live music. I had already checked out the menu and knew what I wanted, which was helpful once we were seated in a somewhat dark dining room. They offer more than seafood, but I wanted seafood. They have a Naked Fish section where they offer a few types of fish with many preparation choices. In the end my wife and I both decided on their less expensive Camp Basket and splurged on both a Clam Chowder and a Camp Salad. The chowder was delicious. The serving size was really not large enough to share but we did, and left me wanting more. The salad was fine. The basket was larger than it first appeared with lots of thin cut fries at the bottom. The several pieces of fried oysters and shrimp were flavorful. The basket also had small bites of okra and a fillet of a lightly breaded white fish. Too much food for my wife, enough to fill me up. My plan to try a dessert faded away. Once we paid we headed back to the courtyard to listen to more music before heading out. A very good meal and a pleasant evening, who could ask for more.

We ordered the fish basket ($24) and the fried tomato BLT sandwich. The fish itself was just okay, but the portions were surprisingly small. It came with fries and what looked like about 2 ounces of coleslaw. Honestly, this basket should have been served with a magnifying glass so I could actually find the fish. My wife's fried tomato BLT was over-sauced and lacked flavor overall. While we appreciated the atmosphere and service, the food quality and especially the portion size for the price left us disappointed. Sadly, we would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

The bisque was creamy, not salty as some bisques can be and had chunks of lobster in it. We each had the hogfish. Blackened. This fish was unknown to us but it was delightful, the portions were large. It came with two sides. I had the black beans and rice and the wontons with a mango tomato salsa. Scrumptious. Being in a different state, I reached out to Brine to coordinate a reservation and purchase a gift card to ensure they were taken care of. They were extremely helpful with making sure it all went smoothly, which made me eager to try the restaurant for myself when I visited this year. Within minutes of stepping through their doors and taking a seat, I knew Brine was going to become one of my new favorites. The staff are all super attentive and really take the time to get to know their guests. It was so nice to hear wait staff greeting their regulars by name, celebrating birthdays with them and talking about important milestones as if they were part of their family. The food completely blew me out of the water - the ingredients fresh and packed with flavor. My family's favorite appetizer is the Brooklyn Style Wings - maybe because we are from Brooklyn, but the wings are addicting with the flavors of sausage, peppers, and a vinegary sauce. The burger was the most surprising of them all, with big flavor and smokiness infused into every bite of meat. Oysters were clean, fish was fresh, and the homemade chips had the perfect crunch. I'm so glad I discovered Brine, but now am so disappointed that I don't live in Sarasota full time to be able to dine here more often. This was definitely one of the best meals of my visit, and I will continuously recommend to everyone!
