Located inside Calusa Brewing, this is a much needed and appreciated addition, versus random food trucks. Pigfish food is fresh, sustainable and consistent. I have tried many items on their menu and they have all been top notch. My favorite is the Burger and Pigfish seasoned fries. It's a fantastic deal on Wednesdays during Burger and Pint Night. If you enjoy fish, The Pigfish is their signature sandwich and is worth a try. The service is friendly and fast. Even though food is a bit upscale and made to order you never have to wait long. Being inside the brewery is a plus as it has a cool laid back vibe. When the weather is cooler, they open the huge garage door for that special Florida fall/winter feel. Support this business at all cost! They are doing everything right. Local, sustainable and delicious food. They have easy counter service where you order at the counter and they give you a number. The service was helpful and quick. Pigfish is located inside Calusa brewing (which is also worth checking out!) they have seating options inside and outside. My husband and I have eaten here twice while visiting Calusa and it does not disappoint. I actually haven't tried their seafood but plan to on the next visit. Absolutely love their vegetarian, house made, black bean burger. Great flavor variety and super fresh. We've tried both of their fries and they're also great. My husband has enjoyed their burgers and chicken sandwich. Such a great way to have lunch or dinner with a fresh craft beer inside (or outside) the brewery. Cant wait to return! read more

I liked my food. I ordered their signature sandwich called The PigFish, a blue Cobia fish sandwich with in addition to the typical lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle toppings, included a good amount of bacon tartar sauce. The two firm pieces of fish were what they describe "house blackened", which I didn't notice but I often don't notice lightly blackened fish seasoning. The sandwich came with a side, I selected their side Caesar, which I was also satisfied with. My wife was less impressed with her Fish & Chips, an oily thicky battered fish served with steak fries. PigFish is an order at a counter including providing a phone number, and you pick up your food when you get a text that it's ready. I did see a couple of people that looked like servers, but they must be part of the Calusa Brewing Taproom. The tables are shared between the two parts of the business. There was live entertainment, a three piece group playing lounge style music. I liked listening to it. Our timing may have been bad, when we figured out what we wanted and headed to the counter, there was a line that took 15 minutes, followed by another 15 minutes before our food was ready. I saw other times there was no line. For us it was a 30 minute wait. read more

My wife and I stopped here over the weekend. Located in the Calusa Brewing Taproom. They have their own counter to order the food. We ordered a PigFish which is crispy braised pork with fixings on a 8" Hoagie. Very tasty but not worth $24. My wife ordered a Beef & Cheddar for $19.This sandwich is made with Braised Short Ribs grilled onions, Cheddar and their secret sauce. This was also very tasty. They share the interior with the bar and it's nothing special. If the prices don't bother you I would definitely give it a shot. read more

We've dined here twice and enjoy the ability to get a good meal along with our Calusa brews. The menu is a little pricey, but offers a good selection of seafood and sandwiches. The Nashville fish sandwich is our favorite - the bread has the perfect amount of crisp and the spice is just right. My little one also really enjoyed her massive kids chicken sandwich. I would avoid anything fried here - both the fish and chips and hush puppies had a greasy, oily flavor to them. The hushpuppies are a sort of funnel cake fluff to them that was odd. The staff and service they provided were absolutely fantastic! They were both very accommodating and efficient. We ordered a couple of different menu items some just as the chef intended and others customized to meet the needs of those in our party. Shareables Hush Puppies w/ tartar sauce and bacon tartar sauce Pretzels w/o Beer Cheese Handhelds The Mushroom w/o tomato jam, arugula pesto, and brioche The Pig Sides The Pigfish Fries Caesar Slaw The hush puppies were surprisingly lite and airy but shockingly they were not moist. The tartar sauce was not that appealing and the bacon tartar sauce was even less so. We ordered the pretzels without beer cheese they were really good and my fellow diner said she would come back for them alone. The Mushroom - mushrooms fried with mozzarella cheese. Unfortunately, they were fried almost to the point of dehydration. There was very little cheese and most of them were in fact inedible. With the modifications we made they should have been cooked a lot less than they were. The Pig - The ingredients were of good quality. The barbecue sauce however, distracted from the sandwich. The Pigfish Fries were delicious. The Caesar Slaw was not good. The flavor of dressing overpowered even the taste of the cabbage. I love the food. Here. Everything as I really authentic and fresh flavor. I think they've tried to stick with the sustainable fish idea, and I really respect that. The beer is great at Calusa, and you pair it off with a delicious fish they make. This week I had ceviche which was really excellent. I don't think it's on the menu but it was a special for the day. I normally get the fish bites and or the spread. Both are really excellent. Everyone I've introduced this place to really loves it also, so it's not just me. It's a must try in the area. And probably the best beer for Miles. Just really excellent with original flavors and a constant rotation of their beer menu. It's a self-ordering place, where you give them your phone number and they text you when the food is ready. So kind of hybrid table service because if it's not ready when they text you they bring it to you. And it's the Calusa bar environment, so it's not really fine. Dining. Fantastic food, though pricey for counter service. The pigfish salad (added cobia) was one of the best salads I've had, with many chunks of cobia. But at $28 it had a hefty pricetag. Hubby said his pigfish sandwich (with cobia) was amazing. The gigantic chocolate chip cookie ($5) is also delicious, even after a couple days. Being colocated with Calusa Brewing means you can get great beer with your food. I appreciate that Pigfish uses sustainable cutlery and food containers that degrade much more quickly than single-user plastic. read more

Had some lunch here while visiting Sarasota for some brewery hopping. The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. Got the shrimp po boy and chicken quesadilla. I've eaten their food 10-15 different times now and some of it was good and other meh but in EVERY INSTANCE it was completely over priced and they can be dead and tip 25% and service is still awful. I'm done giving it another shot. Next time when I'm at Calusa and get hungry I'll walk to the gas station. No excuse when there's five people in the place and I'm sitting at the bar next to the water station and you refuse to walk it over when the salad is $24 before tip and it's been consistently bad so it's bad mgmt and not just one bad employee.
