My drink - Love the name... excellent holiday version of the mai tai.

Got the background on their seasonal holiday pop-up bar - decorated to perfection - such a fun and festive experience! https://www.miraclepopup.com/about The drink experience comes with custom festive holiday themed glassware that you can purchase. Great tasting cocktails! Delicious food experience as well - Mark (owner) described his kitchen style as "from scratch" proclaiming they make their own salad dressings and bread their own chicken tenders. We got the chicken tenders as an appetizer, they were so much better than mass produced frozen tenders, they were delicious! Going back for dinner and trivia night with friends!

Great pub that hosts trivia nights on Wednesdays. Pros - lively environment and ambiance with great pub food. The southwest chicken salad was amazing. They have great fries and wings that come out so crispy. Wide selection of draft and can beers. Checking in on yelp also gets you a free appetizer! Cons - service can be spotty during busy trivia nights so gotta be patient Great night to spend with friends on Wednesdays for delicious pub food and trivia.

Hey alright - solid casual but trendy bar with a great ambiance and awesome outdoor seating and live music on weekends. I popped over with my sister around 6:30pm on a Friday night after completing a move nearby for a drink and some food and the place was packed! (In anticipation of the live music starting at 7pm). It seems a little understaffed for how crowded and busy it was, but solid all through - great area, food pretty good and what you'd expect from a nice bar. We shared and really enjoyed the Chorizo Nachos and Caesar Salad (not over-dressed - perfect). Great for evenings with a cold beer and sitting outside. Will likely visit again (but come earlier to get an outdoor seat - they seem to go quickly!)

Incredible food, fun atmosphere, excellent service! Heather took such good care of us and ensured our meal was perfect. Sliders were the best we've ever had! No joke. Fries and tots were all fantastic (if you don't like seasoning, ask for them plain as they heavily season their taters, which we love). We arrived on the last night of their Christmas themed event "Miracle at Tamiami Tap" and got a super cute dinosaur mug to go along with my drink! Mark, the owner, personally was clearing tables and providing exemplary service and fun conversation. Will definitely be coming back!

Amazing food! The vegan chili had great flavor to it, it was almost hard to believe that it was actually vegan! Great atmosphere and quick service!

Date night ... one in a long time ruined by crappy service. Sat down at 6:05, the waitress complained how this is her second job (she is a financial advisor?) and she's "brain dead"... said "that's weird" when we asked for a lime with a Coors light. Checked in with the table next to us who was seated waaaay after us 5 times while never coming back to ask if we wanted an entree. We ended up estimating the bill and throwing $70 down and told some dude who could have cared less. Won't recommend and won't be back. Could have dined and ditched because she would never known.

    Outdoor dog friendly seating.

First time and loved it. Excellent selection of cold beers, both on tap and in cans. There is a very nice selection of wines, even bubbly options. The cocktails are a generous pour with some fun House suggestions. The menu really has a nice assortment of fresh menu options and we saw quite a few we wanted to come back and try. As we were sharing a late meal we tried their little house salad and the cheeseburger. The house salad had truly fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, fresh real bacon bits, assorted shredded cheeses and dressing of choice. It was refreshing and reasonable for $6.00. The cheeseburger was moist, with a perfect bun that held the burger. The extras added to the flavor and didn't distract from the burger. The fries are the delicious skinny fries and we asked for no seasoning and they were a perfect compliment to the burger. Totally coming back for another one and will not be sharing it. Having said all this, I must add the outdoor seating is inviting and the fans add to the comfort. Holiday lights are up and on this Friday night the live musician was talented and earned his tips. Service is friendly and they loved our dog too. Great spot to have a drink, hangout with friends and family or share a meal. Nice addition to our Sarasota late night scene.

Came here for brunch. It was not busy at all. When I checked in on Yelp it gave us a free appetizer so we had the Maple Bourbon Smoked salmon. It was delicious. Cooked perfectly and so tender. For the main entree we each for the Florida fruit bowl. When the waitress brought them over she said she ran out of regular croissant. So one plate had the plain croissant and one had a chocolate filled croissant. She put it down without even asking if that's okay. To be honest I really didn't want a CHOCOLATE croissant with my eggs. Kind of strange, I would have taken an English muffin. So that annoyed me. Other then that it was fine.

Great place to come and just relax - no pressure. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is wonderful if you have pets - They are very pet friendly. Good selection of beer and wines and cocktails. Good food as well. Staff is very friendly and will take the time to go over the drink list if you are not sure of what you might want. The vibe here is soooo typical of our laid back, relaxed Sarasota scene. Stop by - you will not be disappointed!!

The parking place had ample parking where you needed a mobile app to pay for your parking. There was a larger souvenir store there if you needed to kill time before your seating. Once it was our time for our dinner reservations, we were greeted and seated at our table. Our waitress was a bit sarcastic or had a witty comments that didn't sit well with my kids. When ordering our foods, the kids asked what type of drinks they had since it was not listed on the menu. She said Coke but didn't elaborate that they had Coke products. Since she said Coke so fast our daughter didn't hear the response and asked her the question again where she just said that's a great question and ignored her and moved on. Food wise - we had the Peruvian ceviche, Peruvian chicken, I think I had a special grouper dish. The food was good. We were able to eat everything and the kids enjoyed their kids burger meals. Outside of the waitress comments, the place placed nice modern music to listen to and had the basketballs games playing on the tv at the bar.

February 16, 2025 - 4 for lunch…read more We are long time members and this is my first time since all the renovations and work. First time to The Green Orchid. Perfect name! We had friends in from snowy cold NY / LI and this was one of the key stops with them during their stay. The place was pretty packed in season. No outdoor spots and we waited a few minutes for an indoor four top. Service was spectacular. The food was very good as we got a bunch of salads and light food entrees. There were a few cocktails as well for the wives. My salad was a lot of romaine but very spartan on edamame, onion, nuts or anything else. The green dressing was good. Clean as a hospital operating room!! Food was fresh and delightful. All the entrees we had were mid $25 range and with a beer at $8 and mixed drinks at $15 we zoomed up to about $42 per person or $174 for 4 people tax and gratuity. It was surely "tourist" and higher priced for a lunch. I picked up the tab for our guests and with the over 65 restaurants I have reviewed on Main Street and in Sarasota....... I am not sure this was so convenient and easy to be worth the cost/value for what you got? We might even walk the waterfront or head down Lemon or Pineapple and hit Main Street as an option next time? More friends in a few days and a few in March. The place is supper small so it is still amazing to me we got a table. So make reservations! But ever since then we've had some pretty amazing dinners and discovered great wine at the Canvas Cafe. We also had the scallops which were such a different thing, so light and full of the ocean, you didn't want to share or trade bites between dishes because both were so good but so different. A long time favorite here is the gazpacho. This time we didn't have that and tried the goat cheese with tomato marmalade and one of the arugula salad creations. Both good, but the marmalade was a bit sweet. but loved how they caramelized the goat cheese. Don't be afraid to ask about a wine you have not heard of and listen to what they recommend. I have not gone wrong yet doing this at Canvas and have discovered some very nice things this way. Get something different here than your usual favorites. One of the things I love about this place is the menu changes about every 3-4 months and they are always trying out new wine. A good place to experience some creative and well done food. Not everything is a hit out of the ball park, but I've had some very memorable meals at Canvas. Service is always very good and I have never felt rushed out. If I want to sit and enjoy the wine, they don't try to run you off to turn over the table. Very relaxing and a nice place to slow down. You owe it to yourself to call them, make a reservation and enjoy sitting on their deck before it is too hot to eat outside. You won't be sorry.
