My favorite Tiki Bar by the water in the area. Accessible by walking, bike, golf cart, motorcycle, boat, jet ski, etc. Docks for parking boats, lots of new upgrades by the new owners, cold drinks and friendly staff. I've never eaten here but the social life is outstanding! read more

What a find! We spent the day at the beach and finished with the scenic drive on Casey Key Road (the mansions we passed, oh my). Happy to pull in the packed parking lot of the Fish House and find a spot along with a view of the Bay. We started with the mahi fish dip - only ok. But it turns out at 2:50 on a Friday afternoon I could still order the daily lunch special - grouper with hearts of palm, rice and pea pods. Wow! Absolutely amazing. Seriously the favorite meal on my mini vacation. Service was friendly, and prices were reasonable for quality and ambiance. Don't forget the key lime pie. Hubby and I each got our own and I'm glad that was the case. I could have eaten two slices:) We will be back to Casey Key Fish House. read more

My fav restaurant of the whole beach trip! The conch critters and buffalo shrimp appetizers were absolutely to die for, they were able to swap the tomato sauce for my seafood pasta with a garlic sauce and it was delicious. Decent service and ambiance, but don't let the look of the restaurant deceive you from the wonderful high quality food! read more

The sautéed grouper and rice were good, but I'm not a huge fan of green beans because they're very rarely cooked enough or season enough or something. I wish the dinner specials were all day because they had more options but I was here at lunch this trip. At least they're available at 4 because they're always really good. read more

Cute little waterfront restaurant! We stopped here on Sunday and parked the boat on the dock. Plenty of boat parking available. We just stopped in here for a light bite around 3 PM. We got the coconut shrimp which was delicious and then the peel and eat shrimp. The peel and eat shrimp Were pretty good, but I didn't realize that it would be already soaking in garlic butter rather than just dipping in the shrimp myself. If I would've known that, I may have picked a different appetizer. Service was super fast! But definitely stop by here again for a casual meal . read more

I still can't get over the beautiful scenery and the old Florida Feel of Casey Key Fish House. The wife and I went there for a late lunch. We were immediately seated however it was pretty crowded. Our server was very nice very polite but very very slow. We weren't on a schedule so didn't really care. Both of us had the seafood gumbo Soup. It was awesome! It had lots of little shrimp, fish and other assorted seafood. Both my wife and I loved it. We would highly recommend Casey key fish house and oh by the way they are dog friendly. read more

Great service and food as always. Stopped in for lunch today and enjoyed the views and fresh grouper. The place was packed, I had the seared grouper and my wife had the battered shrimp. I normally get the blacked grouper sandwich that comes with a good sized serving of fish and sides. read more

A very good example of remaining laid back "old Florida" waterside hangouts. Great views, good service with large portions and flavorful servings. We came for lunch and did not patronize the tiki bar, but it appeared popular as we walked past through the parking lot. read more

Without a doubt this is my favorite restaurant when crossing Skyway from St Pete! I haven't been there since hurricanes.. But EVERY meal I had there (so many I lost count) ... was beyond amazing/delicious/fantastic!!! Excellent friendly staff. 10 stars from me and friend read more

We had lunch there on Sunday and it was "good". The grouper was cooked and spiced perfectly. I made the mistake of ordering the Buffalo Shrimp and found them to be horrible. They were basically heavily battered fried shrimp that you then dunk in Buffalo sauce.... I picked some of the batter off and was left with a pitiful bit of farm raised shrimp with NO flavor.... Thankfully the service was excellent and the beer was cold (unfortunately served in a plastic cup instead of a nice glass...- which is becoming typical for waterfront bars...). read more

Casey Key Fish House has always been our favorite when we are in town. We brought friends today for their first visit and unfortunately we were all a bit underwhelmed. We choose the lunch special which was grilled grouper with tropical fruit. We were a bit surprised when the fruit topping the grouper was canned fruit cocktail. Our server was great and you can't bet the atmosphere but the food was disappointing to say the least. read more

Freedom! Nothing fancy. Tremendous beauty, live music, and fun with nice views of the inter coastal waterway and boats! Hippie and reggae feel to it all. This review is just for the Tiki Bar before sunset. Will definitely return to try seafood. The restaurant is its own shack. Very very crowded. Long lines to get a drink, but those young women bartenders were doing their best. Our kind of Sunday with salt water near by and nice drinks and IPAs. read more

Very good service. Great view! Burger was pretty good. Tomato was only ok - looked and tasted like an "winter up north" tomato, though. Rings were very good. Grouper was tough, c- You are paying for for view, which was great, so you have to adjust food expectations. read more

Food is consistently AWESOME!!! Been dining there for over 25 years now. Love the BUFFALO SHRIMP APPETIZER. Not a fan of SWORDFISH, but, the SWORDFISH ENTREE is like none other than you will ever have. It's a rare treat when you get lucky enough to catch them on a day that they decide to offer the CALAMARI SALAD on the chalkboard !! Even the BURGER is one of the best in town. Definitely something for everyone's culinary liking on their menu!!! If you are wanting to treat your out of town guest to great food, drinks & a FUN TIIME..... I had a grouper sandwich it was ok a little fishy and dry. Wife had a seafood sandwich not much to it mostly lettuce. We set outside comfortable except a large bird flew up and sat right next to us cool at first but the bird wouldn't leave we had to guard our food he was waiting for an opportunity to take something off our plate. I didn't want to be mean to bird he wouldn't leave. The staff saw this and didn't do anything, I finally tried to wave him away didn't work so I took my straw and squirted water at him he flew away but came back. read more

Drove an hour to eat at a favorite. Checked hours before heading south. Arrived to find out "kitchen closed" until 4:30 p.m. Disappointing and avoidable if management updated hours to clearly reflect changes. Advice - call before you go! read more

The food was great, views even better. Staff was very attentive. They have a fun tiki bar across the parking lot, that looked fun.

Great Spot and Great View! We enjoyed watching the boats coming and going. We came for a late lunch and our server really recommended the special... It was amazing and glad we went with it! Sauté Grouper with "fruit salad salsa" - fresh green beans and rice!! When it landed on the table, the fruit salad threw me off, but it was absolutely amazing and so hot and fresh!! Yum!! AGAIN we attempted to dine here but were punched in the face at the front door. The sewage stank was assaulting and was met like a brick wall that we bounced off of. AGAIN. That was our last attempt to ever set foot in this shit-hole! (Thanks for the good years!) This was worse than the time at a Texas Taco Cabana 17 years ago that almost killed us. Usually I smell test a seafood restaurant for old fish, but this was a no sniff death zone; choking as we turned around and ran! P.S. I know low tide smell so don't try to deflect. This is a sewage or sewage gas leak. The management should research STUDOR VENT VALVES as a possible solution. Dumbasses! P.P.S; I just took the time to read the collection of reviews for you and deduce that this is KNOWN TO BE A smelly shit-hole with an attitude, a beautiful view, and dank accommodations with outdated paper and plastic service but best of all most food is a collection of dried out & over battered waste of money! I agree with this assessment. read more

Favorite restaurant in southwest Florida! Best service, conch fritters and grouper sandwich, even their iced tea is exceptional. Great location on the water with a huge outside bar. Found out the hard way they are closed during the month of September. read more

The noise level is difficult, but the food is great. Once again my husband and I could not decide on one dish and so ordered the mahi mahi and grouper sandwiches and shared both. We also shared the very refreshing Cole slaw and the fries. We ordered the fish grilled for both sandwiches. The sandwiches also come with a large slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a small container of tartar sauce. They do not take reservations; first come, first served. We did not wait long to be seated and have our orders taken. The sandwiches are a bit sloppy so I think one of those "wet naps" might be offered. read more

Pleasant place to have lunch by the water. It must be off season because me the parking lot wasn't insanely packed and there was no wait. We were outdoors in the shade and with a pleasant breeze we forgot the blistering heat we'd walked through. Blackened mahi-mahi sandwich was great. Crab cake appetizer ordered as a main course was tasty enough but presentation was minimalist. Service was efficient but water not replenished--perhaps a water-saving strategy? Anyway, so far our go-to seafood place in the area with an unmatched view of the inland waterway. read more

We usually love a trip to Casey Key Fish House, but this time was a big disappointment. First, the server was pretty abrupt and not friendly, at all. Never came back to refill drinks, etc.. The food was really heavy and greasy. The calamari itself is tender and the breading is usually light and crisp. It was really greasy today. Likewise, the "lightly fried" shrimp as anything BUT lightly fried. It had an incredibly heavy batter, soaked in oil, covering very small shrimp that were not at all firm, as shrimp should be. (Had the description said "battered" we would not have selected them. ). We both ended up peeling the greasy caked batter off and just eating the little shrimp. My husband's fries were also limp and really greasy. My Buffalo Shrimp was just the regular fried shrimp with a side of buffalo sauce. I was enticed by the carrot and celery sticks. Carrots were good. About half the celery was nice and crisp. The rest was limp and obviously older. It was nice sitting outside, but after today's experience, we may not be back, which is too bad. read more

We tried the blackened Mahi Mahi Caesar salads. They were very good. Good size piece of fish and lots of Romaine lettuce. Service was spot on and it was a beautiful evening to take in the intercostal. Just a real laid back Florida Bar with a separate Tiki Bar with entertainment. Now the prices! They have gone up almost 50% which is gouging in my book. read more

Mediocre food in a great location. Kind of a cliche. Go for the view, tolerate the food--stick to the simple grilled/broiled items. Fried stuff is way over-fried in tired oil. Conch fritters inedible. Good staff, well run business. Not for seafood gourmets. read more

My wife and I tried Casey Key Fish House for dinner. The ambience was nice, we sat out on their deck with heaters and a few birds flying around. I had the fish and chips. The fish was really good and quite filling. The coconut shrimp was also good. The service was slow. Our server, guy with a bun, was nice but didn't frequent us for refills and took forever to get us our check. They were busy but I noticed he was very much into talking with his customers and showing them photos off his phone. read more

In Venice and normally eat at Casey Key - great views - yep on the water - friendly staff. Got there around 5 on Thursday was able to get an outside table for 6. Three of us had the black cod fish special- excellent. Came with a lobster sauce and a couple of shrimp. Sauce was runny would have been better if it was thicker. Vegetables included mashed potatoes- green beans- carrots. All very tasty but not very hot. The winner was the shrimp scampi- looked good. Wife had the almond snapper - fish great vegetables tender but not warm. So fun place with an outdoor tiki bar- good drinks (although no draft beer tonight). Great location but need to work on some kitchen issues. read more

Nice location on the water. The service was great, very attentive. The food was mediocre which was a surprise. I wouldn't go back. .

Arrived fora late lunch and were seated right away! My husband ordered a grouper Reuben which he devoured. I had a crabmeat stuffed portobello with salad which was a lunch special. I was served an enormous salad which was delicious but as the greens were torn in large pieces a bit messy to eat. The crab cake was tasty but not too large. The mushroom was okay. I would not order it again. We enjoyed our visit and plan to return. read more

This restaurant is a little bit hidden on a side street of S. Tamiami, bit it is worth the trip. We got our waters right away with straws already in it, even though the menu cover specifically said"straws on request ". That is however the only thing that could have made it a 4 instead of a 5 star review. The food and the service were excellent. Our waiter was friendly, gave nice advice on menu choices and was fast. My wife and I decided to share a grouper and a mahi-mahi sandwich, so we could have the best of both worlds. Both were grilled (blackened or fried were the other options) and came with tomato and lettuce and a little container of tartar sauce. On the side fries or Cole slaw are the options, we had one of each. The fries were nice and crispy, the Cole slaw was really good. No mayonnaise (like most other places) and a hint of pineapple, that gave it a nice sweet and fresh bite. read more
