    New England clam chowder

Great place to stop for lunch after a day on the boat. Our server was super friendly and kept our drinks full!! The place is clean and has great views of little Sarsota Bay. Ordered a cup of clam chowder and the huli- huli chicken. Both delicious.

Convenience to paddleboarding launch: 5 Worried that at 12:00 there were hardly any cars in the parking lot: 5 Food: overall-1.5 Lobster bisque-for $14.00 was expecting a lot more. This had minuscule bites of lobster, no depth of flavor and was an unappetizing pink color. Also was lukewarm. Chicken Caesar salad- dry chicken, crunchy romaine but drenched in dressing, which we told the waiter twice to put on the side. Inedible. Mahi bites-good. Thank goodness. Return- unlikely

We chose Turtles for the views on the water and they do not disappoint! We were quickly seated out on the upper deck to enjoy the views of the bay. We started with the shrimp cocktail which was 4 very good sized shrimp, YUM! My entree was the shrimp scampi and hubby enjoyed the full rack of ribs. He's a rib chef at home and these ribs were delicious. My shrimp scampi was delicious as well, sauce was spot on. Our waitress was very cheerful and attentive. We would highly recommend this place.

Blood orange margarita was excellent along with the water views.

This place is a '5' for waterfront views, friendly staff, cocktails, and dog friendly. We found food to be inconsistent. Fried shrimp basket was oily, caesar salad was sad, although shrimp on the salad was great, Mahi Mahi fingers and fish tacos were good, Argentinian scallops were very good, but crab cake thin and lacked flavor. We will be back, but order the items we know are the best.

The view off the back patio was great. The service was ok, might have to wait a minute or two at times but if you're happy with the view then all good while waiting. The food was pretty good we had an appetizer, crusted fish and wedge salad with chicken. The salad had some good flavor, the fish was not bad (just lacked a touch of flavor, but rather have it that way then over salted) and the appetizer was ok. I like the idea of a little hideaway, so we will return. Take from that what you can . Food 7.0 Service 7.5 Atmosphere 8.5.

Lovely place with great service and nice ambience. The lobster ravioli was awesome....but only got 2! Very pricey for just 2! The stuffed shrimp was very good and the family loved the coconut fish. We would definitely go there again.

Another wonderful restaurant on Siesta Key! The shrimp and crab scampi was served in a creamy sauce with linguini and topped with crab meat. It was excellent - I cleaned the bowl! The rolls were hot and came with lots of butter. Our server was quite busy but checked on us often. My friends enjoyed the barbecue ribs and wedge salad. Even though we were quite full we couldn't resist sharing the homemade key lime pie! No reservations - but we were seated immediately at 5:30 on a Wednesday evening on the patio. The view of the water is picturesque.

Blackened grouper sandwich, fries and Cole slaw.

    Is Turtles open since hurricanes?

Yes it is! They had minimal damage from Milton and are open! The drive down midnight pass rd is still full of some debris and lots of construction repairs going on. But we caught a beautiful sunset a couple weeks ago from the deck!

The service was top level. Our server , Patrick B, made us feel welcomed and extremely comfortable, like we were at a dinner party he was the host. That's not easy to do but with his warmth and friendliness he was able to make it happen. This restaurant is lovely. White linen tables a beautiful Table Setting Arrangement and perfect lighting. We enjoyed a table facing the bay. Our meal started with warm sourdough bread that melted in your mouth. We ordered a scrumptious Butter Poached Maine Lobster Bisque which was simply amazing. Followed by 2 entres: Center Cut Filet Mignon of Australian Wagyu Beef & a Frenched Rack of Grassfed New Zealand Lamb. These 2 selections were perfectly cooked and wonderfully seasoned. My only criticism was the Crème Fraiche Potato that came with the lamb entree. That needs work. Very Disappointing. The restaurant does not allow you to exchange the sides which is always frustrating to me. We enjoyed drinks, old fashions, martinis , that were amazing. The last treat was the extraordinary Tiramisu. It was marvelous. Simple the best we've ever had. My other criticism besides that of the spud would be the parking situation. I know it is what it is. But we need another training course for that crew. The valet guys need to be friendlier and more attentive because after all they are the first impression. And that first impression was not good.

The chef was willing to to place the soup in two smaller portions-- essentially sharing one cup of soup. It was the best lobster bisque I have ever had. The bisque was creamy, not salty as some bisques can be and had chunks of lobster in it. We each had the hogfish. Blackened. This fish was unknown to us but it was delightful, the portions were large. It came with two sides. I had the black beans and rice and the wontons with a mango tomato salsa. Scrumptious. My sister's sides were the creamy coleslaw with just the right amount of mayo so as not to be runny and the sweet potato fries which were seasoned with just the right amount cinnamon sugar. Jasmin was our server and she answered all of our questions about the fish which is caught fresh from the Gulf each day. She was very welcoming and made us feel like we were visiting friends. The restaurant does have live music for the dinner crowd. If your family is visiting Florida and you want a meal that is high on the wow factor of taste-- this is the place.

Absolutely did not disappoint. My wife and I split the fish tacos and a side salad (not pictured), and the salad was actually a great size for sharing. Between the ahi nachos, shared salad, and the tacos, it ended up being the perfect amount of food for the two of us. We washed it all down with a couple local beers on tap and called it a perfect afternoon. The servers were great and even suggested a beer that paired really well with the meal, which was a nice touch. Parking is easy, and the view adds to the whole experience. You can sit back and watch boats cruising by while others are getting launched or lifted out of the water by the massive forklifts at the marina. It's just a really cool atmosphere. If you go, the ahi nachos are a must. Five years later and we'd come back again just for those.

Being in a different state, I reached out to Brine to coordinate a reservation and purchase a gift card to ensure they were taken care of. They were extremely helpful with making sure it all went smoothly, which made me eager to try the restaurant for myself when I visited this year. Within minutes of stepping through their doors and taking a seat, I knew Brine was going to become one of my new favorites. The staff are all super attentive and really take the time to get to know their guests. It was so nice to hear wait staff greeting their regulars by name, celebrating birthdays with them and talking about important milestones as if they were part of their family. The food completely blew me out of the water - the ingredients fresh and packed with flavor. My family's favorite appetizer is the Brooklyn Style Wings - maybe because we are from Brooklyn, but the wings are addicting with the flavors of sausage, peppers, and a vinegary sauce. The burger was the most surprising of them all, with big flavor and smokiness infused into every bite of meat. Oysters were clean, fish was fresh, and the homemade chips had the perfect crunch. I'm so glad I discovered Brine, but now am so disappointed that I don't live in Sarasota full time to be able to dine here more often. This was definitely one of the best meals of my visit, and I will continuously recommend to everyone!
