This is an exceptional spot for seafood in the area. We had amazing service and highest quality fish dishes! We enjoyed the oysters, swordfish, sea bass, snapper, and bouillabaisse and finished with the amazing trio of desserts. All of it was so so tasty. Our waitress Kristen was incredible!!! Drink were also so great here. Highly recommend

I am surprised the reviews aren't higher! We had a great experience here today with my family. The staff was very accommodating. We had a large party with kids and wanted a table away from the crowds and they let us pick any table and even let us move underneath the heaters. Ambiance inside seemed to be more upscale. We sat outside and felt more relaxed. Great Bloody Mary's, fried calamari and warm fresh bread with butter. Fish (grouper) and chips were outrageous. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

This place was so perfect right in the circle, the food was perfect. The waitress introduced us to some amazing dishes we never had. The service was great and the ambience was classy and chic and definitely cool place to hang out.

We've been going here for valentines day for years but Went here for this Valentine's Day and the valentines menu left much to be desired. Everything with truffle and just nothing exciting. The bisque was delicious as usual but the stone crab was frozen and the new "reimagined" crème brûlée was awful. Mind you, it was 300 dollars so I would expect much better quality. Stick to Shore, or any of the other nice restaurants in the area.

What an amazing place . We came to Sarasota just go look around and really was pleased to find this wonderful place for lunch'. So elegant and excellent service . Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere and all around excellent experience.

I have no complaints other than an uninspiring dessert menu. We started with a dozen oysters from Canada and Maine. Fresh and cold and really yummy! Caesar salad was exactly what a Caesar salad should be, light, fresh and dressed appropriately. I had the grilled Grouper and it was amazing! I'm from NY and it's not common on menus in the northeast so this was a treat. My wife had the whole yellowtail snapper . Both extremely fresh and flavorful. The only thing I would say is that the fried snapper could have been seasoned more. But I rather add salt than have it over seasoned. Service was good. A 4-5 star experience with the fresh fish and oysters as the star performers.

This place came highly recommended for a lunch in st Armand's. The venue is beautiful. Service was perfect yet I don't think the waiter knows what horseradish is. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary and when asked if it had horseradish, he was told no. Came with a ton of horseradish. We decided to split the tuna with cold vermicelli noodles and the Cobb salad. I loved the tuna, seared perfectly with a ton of flavour. Cobb salad on the other hand was beyond boring. So we ordered chicken to throw on top. The smell of the burnt grilled chicken was so intense my husband thought the chicken was bad. Worse 27.00 Cobb salad I've ever had. I can't believe we spent 27.00 bucks for that. We're not from the area so I can't imagine I would ever go back but I would highly recommend it. Just don't order the Cobb.

Second time coming to this restaurant over the 4th of July holiday. Our server off the bat was attentive and friendly - only comment is that we frequently had to ask for more water. Drinks took a long time to come out, which was AFTER we got our appetizers and ate them all. I ordered the espresso martini, which I unfortunately did not enjoy at all. Too bitter but also too creamy at the same time. What saved this place from getting 3 stars was their food -- their salmon dish was phenomenal. The steak and potatoes with caramelized onions an easy 10/10. Also highly recommend the tuna. Overall, a solid place with a few flaws that could be fixed. Willing to try them again!

So glad I tried a new place for me while on vacation, from the host to the bartender everyone was very nice and enjoyed the look of the place Food was excellent had the shrimp cocktail app, then the grouper sandwich for lunch washed them down with the Pineapple Drop and the Delicious Tropicanahattan

We met friends at this restaurant while visiting Longboat Key. They dine here quite frequently as they live near St Armands Circle. The restaurant is a two-floor restaurant with plenty of seating and also an outdoor patio on the street. We were seated upstairs, unfortunately as it had no ambience as the first floor. I wish I could remember our servers name because he was excellent, a tall young man who was engaging and friendly. He brought us a smoked fish spread with crackers as a little starter. Our friend ordered the crepes aubergine for the table, which was eggplant rollatini with mozzarella, romano, and marinara - very good. The menu changes daily depending on the fish they catch. So of course we ordered fish when it's caught the same day that we're about to eat it. My hubby had the grouper and I had the branzino. The fish was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed our choices. However, the grouper was a very small portion. As a person who weighs her food because I am on Weight Watchers, it looked like it wasn't even 6oz. Pricey for the portion. It was served with roasted rainbow carrots which were so good because hubby shared. My branzino was delicious, but I had a few bones that were missed when filleting the fish. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I loved that the restaurant offers fresh fish daily. I would request a table on the first floor, though.

Hubby and I dined here twice during this trip. First, we came for dinner. It's a great restaurant with a great ambiance. There's plenty of outdoor seating as well. The indoor has 2 huge dining sections. Our first waiter, Rio, presented the menu and recommendations excellently. He juggled a few tables and didn't forget to always check on our table. We ordered the octopus for a start. Wow! This octopus woke me up. I was getting tired from shelling at the beach. I should have caught it myself, but I was too afraid to go too far out in the sea to fight with the octopus. Then I had filet mignon, and Hubby had a pork chop, but he wasn't crazy about it. However, I liked my dish. This night's winner went to the octopus! We came back for lunch with a friend the next day. Our waiter of the day was Alexandro. He was happy and energized. We ordered calamari for an appetizer. It was perfect. Then, I ordered snapper and shrimp from the lunch menu. My dish was excellent, and I thought I would try again when we return in December. Again, Hubby said he didn't make a good decision ordering for himself. He ordered fish and chips, thinking the place would have the best fish and chips, but that's ok, I let him try my dish and he loved it. Our friend had Scottish salmon that looked so delicious too. I may try that next time. Alejandro liked seeing my empty plate ha! Overall, I gave the place two thumbs up! The lunch menu plus the octopus were my favorites. Excellent service, food, and ambiance. Stay open please! Thanks!

If you are in St Armand circle there are many choices for the restaurants but this is a good spot for fresh seafood. Try their octopus it is very tender and good spices. Muscles were fresh and a good Caesar salad. Weather is amazing in Sarasota in the beginning of March! Sit outside and enjoy!

Had an amazing meal at Crab & Fin! We ordered the scallops, wahoo & tempura shrimp dish, and the foie gras two ways--everything was packed with flavor. The scallops were tiny but perfectly cooked, the wahoo was super fresh, and the tempura shrimp had the perfect crunch. The foie gras was a nice surprise, super rich and delicious. Service was great, and the vibe was just right. I also love that they have a constantly rotating menu every day. Definitely coming back!

Depends on the party size, upstairs is more private. They also have a conference room you can use on the first floor for less than 20

I love Dry Dock Waterfront Grill and I always visit when I am in the Sarasota area. Dry Dock is always busy so I am also sure to make a reservation in advance using Open Table. Typically we sit inside but I know the back patio is popular too. If your timing and patience is perfect, you can also get a nice a nice window seat in the dining room that has sweeping views of Sarasota Bay. The inside atmosphere is bright and airy and although airy often translates to loud, Dry Dock thoughtfully put noise dampening panels on the ceiling. As far as food, I don't think you can go wrong. I always get something with grouper whether it be an entree, sandwich or tacos. On my most recent visit I got the grouper filet with coconut shrimp because I had originally been eyeing up the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Ultimately, we decided to get the rock crab claws for an appetizer which were good but more work than I planned even though they were pre-cracked. I felt like a Neanderthal trying to eat those crab claws in such a nice restaurant. No offense to the Neanderthals, of course! I have no idea what my husband had as it disappeared. After entrees, apps and bread, we were too stuffed for dessert. I think our server was Cari and she was awesome! Attentive, friendly, funny and quite possibly a mind reader and magician. She saw the hanger in my eyes and made bread magically appear. I hope I got her name correct because she was superb! Shout out to all of the great staff members at Dry Dock -we've never had a bad experience. I love Dry Dock and it will forever stay in my Sarasota rotation.

My husband was recently diagnosed with ALS, so we decided to take our 8 year-old daughter on a trip to Florida while he's still able to enjoy it. What we experienced while staying at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, went far above and beyond exceptional service. Caitlin, one of the managers, learned the context of why this trip mattered to our family and quietly orchestrated an entire day at the private beach club that we will never forget. Without any prompting or expectation, she arranged thoughtful touches throughout the day (a beautiful beach setup, a sunset dinner, gifts for our daughter and for us, and attentive, personal service from start to finish). They even let my daughter use a Polaroid camera to take pictures throughout the day. Caitlin and her team showed genuine empathy for the situation. They truly gave us a moment of peace, joy, and normalcy when we needed it most. At the end of the day, they surprised us by assembling the Polaroids into a memory book with hand written quotes for our daughter to remember. Because of Caitlin and the incredible team she leads, our daughter made core memories with her dad she will always carry, and our family had a day that reminded us of kindness and goodness in the world. We are profoundly grateful and will never forget the compassion shown to us here. You all made a huge impact. Thank you, Caitlin and team!

The outdoor Tiki area wrapped around the building and had a fun, relaxed vibe that made a great first impression. Our waitress, Rhonda, was excellent. What We Ordered: * Clam Chowder * Lobster Bisque * Maine Lobster Dinner with Corn on the cob and Coleslaw * Phil's Steamer Pot with half Lobster, Corn on the cob, Potatoes, Andouille Sausage, Clams, and Mussels Food Highlights: The soups came out first, and both were excellent. The Clam Chowder was topped with Bacon and Chives. It was the best we've had since moving to Florida--rich, flavorful, and satisfying. The Lobster Bisque was Creamy and equally delicious, with great flavor and tasty pieces of Bread mixed in. Our entrées arrived quickly, and we loved both dishes. The Lobster was cooked perfectly in both meals, and everything in Phil's Steamer Pot was hot, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. My wife, who is from Maine, said it was the best Lobster she has had in this area. Even the sides--the Corn on the cob and Coleslaw--were very good, and the Beer was served ice cold. One more thing each table featured a fish dip and crackers--an extra touch we really enjoyed. Fish Market and Final Verdict: Before leaving, we stepped inside to look at the Fish Market and were impressed by how fresh everything looked.
