AGAIN, another awesome experience at Allswell! Went yesterday for Mother's Day and enjoyed another great meal! Had no problem getting reservations a few dates before, had a great outdoor table that was definitely better than being inside. Our server-Makayla, arrived immediately, helped us through their brunch menu and returned shortly with our drinks. I have to tell ya that their "limitless" Bloody Marys and Mimosas for only $25 is a great deal!! Of course we had to order their FAMOUS Banana Old Fashioned, a Bloody Mary and a Hugo Spritz. We ordered the following brunch entrees: -Truffle Mushroom Omelette -Signature Allswell Burger -Full Monty Sandwich -Chicken & Waffle Stack EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, HOT AND VERY TASTY! Job WELL DONE the Vicky and her ENTIRE team! This place is definitely my new go to place to eat. Can't wait to see their new restaurant concept that's going into the old McGrath's location on Main Street in LWR. We decided to stop in Sarasota for a quick lunch halfway through our recent road trip and discovered the beautiful Waterside Place neighborhood. There are quite a few restaurants to choose from in this little area, and Allswell caught our eye. It is a elevated gastrobar and Irish pub serving up comfort food favorites. The interior has a vintage art deco feel and it was pretty chill on a late Sunday afternoon. We got a table inside -- they also have a large outdoor patio, but it's too hot right now. The service was quick which we appreciated. I started with the zero-proof "Spritz Me Softly" (lyres italian aperitif, sparkling lemonade, fever tree elderflower tonic, & citrus) which was light and refreshing. For food, we ordered the French onion soup and the classic fish & chips. Both were delicious and their fries are perfection. They have really mastered the French onion soup. My reason for giving 4 stars is that they seem to have a fly problem inside, which made the experience much less enjoyable. We were being swarmed by tons of flies throughout our entire meal, constantly swatting them away. They kept landing on my husband & son's heads. We were seated at the table nearest to the kitchen. All the doors & windows were closed, so it was a bit concerning that there were so many. Hopefully they get that issue sorted out. read more

I really liked this place. Been meaning to stop by for a while but got the chance today for brunch. Was shocked how empty it was on a Saturday morning but our server told us their brunch menu is new so that may be the reason. Interior is beautiful. Reminds me of some of the old pubs back in England. Our server was kind and helpful. I had lunch an my wife and daughter did brunch. The Smash Burger was phenomenal! Probably one of the best I've had in a while. Everything was hot, fresh, and made with high quality ingredients. The fries felt house made and were also delicious. The brunch portion was not as great. My wife did not like her eggs Benedict so I can't speak to that. But the breakfast home fries were definitely top notch. Our daughter had the waffles and it was ok. I have a feeling we'll be back for their dinner service. If it's anywhere near as good as my burger, it will be fantastic. But we probably won't return for the brunch menu. So far, I'd say this is my favorite restaurant in the waterside/lakewood ranch area. And possibly one of the best burgers in Sarasota. My wife and I met friends at Allswell last night for dinner and had a great time! The restaurant is located in a beautiful section of Lakewood Ranch. The inside is decorated nicely with a large bar and plenty of seating. We all enjoyed our drinks and food. My wife and I split the wedge salad, but the French Onion soup looked even better. On our waiters recommendation, 3 of the 4 of us ordered the Braised Beef and Mushroom Pie. This was like a beef stew with a pastry puff and was excellent! Service was great! We were there for quite a while catching up and no one rushed us at all. All in all, a fun night out at a really nice place! read more

Enjoyed dinner at the bar with my husband. You need to get here early to get a seat. HH is served at the bar, the long indoor table & all outdoor tables; not the indoor tables. Food was excellent! We enjoyed French onion soup, sliders, chicken sliders, fries which were beyond amazing & well done as we had asked. Another time I was here I had the most delish mac & cheese - it's kind of pricey but it's a very large serving. My only gripe is that when you sit at the tables, they give you a water glass that is tiny! Ask for a large glass - super annoying to constantly have to pour water! read more

First time at Allswell and we will be back. Our drinks were delicious, our server Lily was very friendly and our food was great. We started with the steak tip poutine and it was delicious. The fries were done in beef tallow and extra crisp, the whole dish was a must get. It's a large portion and definitely perfect for sharing. We loved our entrees a salmon dish and a fettuccine pasta with steak. We would have stayed for dessert but everything was so delicious and filling we didn't have any room. We will definitely be back to try their happy hour and desserts. read more

What an amazing new addition to the Waterside area of Lakewood Ranch. The decor is on point and the vibe is both date night and/or dinner with friends. As the evening progressed the lights were dimmed and the candles glowed on the tables. Our server was fantastic. Friendly and attentive. I ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls - DYNAMITE! Will absolutely order again. Fresh with just the right amount of crispy and the flavor was perfect. For the main course I had the fish and chips. The fish is lightly battered, not greasy and the fish is FRESH. LOVED the side of peas. The fries were the right amount of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Definitely RECOMMEND. I will be back because I am dying to try the "Adult Happy Meal". I will warn you - the restaurant can be on the loud side with everyone enjoying the evening. So if you're sensitive to noise, maybe give it a try during lunchtime or a less busy time OR request an outdoor table. read more

We ate here for the first time this past Sunday for brunch. We were walking by and thought wow that looks like an interesting place. The ambiance felt a little old school themed tavern from Europe or something like that. Very nice job on the decor, but be prepared it is a little loud. Our server and the staff were polite, the wait time was ok, they were busy. The food was good. We ordered the chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread and the avocado breakfast sandwich. The avocado toast came with poached egg, arugula and hollandaise which turned out to be very tasty, the home fries were decent as well. The chicken sandwich was good, but not composed well it was good but I might try something else next time. The fries that accompanied the sandwich were awesome, fresh cut and had that upscale taste, yum. We originally went there for drinks on Father's Day and after looking at the menu, decided to stay for dinner, and we were very glad we did! Our waiter "Moose" was outstanding, cocktails and food were on point. The only downside was that it is VERY loud inside, which is why we chose to sit outside, which was lovely. Lunch was a fabulous find at the newly opened Allswell in Waterside LWR. We opened the location for a wonderful meal! We were able to pick our spot and chose the corner booth! Our server was attentive and gave great recommendations. We got Mac n cheese for little man while we both got the tavern salad and French onion soup!! Beautiful decor, personalized service, amazing drinks and good food! This about sums up the experience. We came in for lunch and came back again the next day! Personal favorite were the buffalo chicken egg rolls w moth the fondue blue cheese sauce... heaven. From the banana old fashioned to the burning tea served in antique China there wasn't a cocktail that I wouldn't try again. The burger was great and the fish and chips was enough for two! The service was VERY slow - we were in on a Saturday afternoon and one of 4 tables. There seemed to be some confusion on who our server was. Overall we will probably give it another try. First was wonderful Great steak, Excellent burger and even with the 12 mosquito bites I got even though I was sitting inside but the front doors were left open. 2nd visit I came back with more family and I have to say I was disappointed. The food took long and was served cold, the steak was smaller and the burger bun was not toasted. Six of us made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday night. The inside had really loud (unable to talk over) music playing on the inside, so we opted for an outside table, even though it was still a bit warm and humid. Allswell has only been open a couple of months, but they are very welcoming and very interested in happy customers. We were pretty well taken care of by the staff, but they are still shaking things out some. They have a full bar, some nice cocktails and draught beer on the menu. After beverages we ordered up. I had the fish and chips, after being told it was fried in beef tallow, not vegetable or seed oils. It was very good. The ambience was charming, loved the decor, the feel and the service- all spot on. The appetizer was delicious, we had a hard time choosing just one, but we decided on the Scotch egg- yum! Both entrees fell flat on the flavor profile side. Pork medallions with mashed potatoes, caramelized onions, and cherries and the Braised beef & mushroom pie were our selections. While a collective bite of pork, onion, cherry and potato provided a good flavor, the pork nor mashed potato on its own had any flavor, so I found myself ensuring there was a cherry and onion for each bite. The braised beef, very similar, it was a hardy meal, but could have been enhanced while cooking with either herbs or wine to give it a little flavor. All in all, will definitely go back and try a few additional entrees and appetizers, it's just that cute and the craft cocktails were both tasty and present well read more

There were two of us and we each ordered the Smashburger with no bun which came with a side salad and switched out the fries for roasted broccolini. I ordered the roasted broccolini as it would be the least with oils... it came cold not roasted. It looks steamed with added oil... Besides salad was not in my opinion a salad. It was a handful of mixed greens in a bowl with no dressing... the smash burgers were well done.. with bacon and cheese... We opted out of the onions... If it weren't for the bacon, the burgers were tasteless. I ate half my burger without the bacon... the Smashburger is $23 Overall, I would not go back for this burger , it was not one of the better ones I've ever had...
