A Local MUST STOP! The menu is very creative but it's very limited. This is more of a snack or quick bite menu with a drink but the food on this limited menu is absolutely amazing! Everything is scratch made and very fresh. Loved it! The ambiance is cool and comfortable and the service was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in to meet some friends and was welcomed by a friendly "owner?" Server was sweet. Lots of beer options to choose from and she provided a few samples to make sure we got what we wanted/liked. We didn't try any of the food because we came here right after lunch, but it looked like they had a nice pub variety. Small but very well decorated inside. If I am back in the area, I will come again!

Are you really a local if you haven't been to Peculiar Pub? We were worried that we wouldn't like the new renovations to the old Craft Growler's to Go, but John knew what he was doing with remodeling this spot! It's still the same warm & welcoming environment, but a bit more updated with much more seating. They even have live music some evenings. You will always see familiar staff faces, and they're always more than happy to chat about their favorite recommendations. They will even offer you a sample if you're unsure. The rotating beers on tap are always a nice touch and encourage you to branch out, but they also have some reliable staples. The rotating beers plus the new food menu make it the perfect spot if you're just in the mood for great beer and small unique bites. Ask about the nightly food special!

We had a GREAT experience + dinner at Peculiar Pub. Food: The menu is excellent. The portions are perfect i.e., they aren't huge + oversized, which I GREATLY appreciate. They serve homemade pickles as a small bar snack -- really delicious with a hint of spice. We ordered: * Greek Yogurt Dip (8 out of 10) * Buffalo Chicken Meatballs (10 out of 10) * Hearts of Romaine Salad (8 out of 10) * Sloppy Peculiarwhich with Cowboy Caviar (10 out of 10) * Nachos with Pulled Pork (12 out of 10) The food was very fresh & made with quality ingredients. Drinks: They have a great selection of beers. We wanted a Guinness, but they swapped out the Guinness keg for a local option. We were skeptical at first, but wow - it was very similar to Guinness. We're always happy to support a local business, which makes it even better. They also offer a small selection of wine. Service: The service was top notch. We had a really good time talking to Tom (bartender), Evan (chef), and the other guys. Ambiance: It's only a small pub but it has a great vibe. Lots of TVs and the perfect quaint spot for sports. Location: It's conveniently located on Main Street LWR, across from Remi's. Overall, I highly recommend Peculiar Pub. It's a welcoming spot with good food & good beers.

Serve server, Lissete immediately greeted us and helped us walk through the drink menu. We both chose the 'shogun' drink, which but their version not fat. The drink was absolutely delicious and flavorful and reflected its a menu description perfectly. I don't want to say that the menu was overwhelming, but every description of every item was appealing. I will not go into detailed descriptions of our menu items as their descriptions were very well defined on the menu. Everything we ordered was both picture perfect and absolutely delicious. We ordered the following items: Pork Belly Skewers Gali Rib Skewers Duo Tartar GO Roll Hachi Roll Every item was absolutely delicious but, would I order it again? Probably not as these items were so awesome that I would have to try new items every time I go back or another visit. I will again say that our server Lissete, it's probably one of the best servers I have ever had before. She was personal, professional, assisted us with the menu, get back with us after every plate and overall treated us as if we were honored guests in her home. With her Service and the food and the ambience of the restaurant, Kuro Sushi a very easily earned my five stars! Great job by everyone!

I had been wanting to try it for months since they opened, and we finally went for our anniversary. I even noted that on the reservation, which made the experience feel like it should have been something special. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. Nothing was outright "wrong" with the host or wait staff, but the overall vibe just wasn't welcoming. For the price point, I expected to leave feeling like it was an incredible, memorable dinner that I couldn't wait to repeat. Instead, we left pretty underwhelmed and unlikely to return. One thing that stood out was that although we noted it was our anniversary on the reservation, nothing was acknowledged at all. That's totally fine, but it does make you wonder why the question is asked in the first place if it's not going to be recognized in any way. The fish itself was fresh, and I do think if I had ordered more simple sashimi or nigiri, I would have enjoyed the food more. However, we ordered a mix of sushi rolls and appetizers, and the rolls just weren't well balanced in flavor. Nothing stood out as something I'd order again. The potstickers (gyoza) were the highlight, honestly some of the best I've had. Beyond the food, there were a lot of small details that added up. The drinks were served in glasses that felt cheap. The silverware felt cheap. Our table was wobbly. The space felt small, loud, and a bit cold in atmosphere. Plates weren't cleared when they should have been, and there were noticeable service gaps. Our server didn't know the answer to a simple question about a drink on the happy hour menu (he did go find out, but it slowed things down). Our meals and desserts didn't come out together, with a pretty significant delay between, which took away from the experience. At the end of the night, it was about a $200 meal that felt more like a $75 experience. We really wanted to love it, but overall it just didn't live up to the expectations they set. There are several other sushi spots nearby that we would choose over this next time we want to go out for sushi. Overall, I'd rate it a 6/10.

It is my favorite restaurant, but I was disappointed with my third visit there about 10 days ago…read more First there was a hair in the dipping oil just before I put my bread in. The waiter was very nice and he served us a new one, but it's a lousy way to start a meal. Quickly, I'll tell you that the calamari was very good. I love their batter. My husband had a muscle and clam Napolitano appetizer. The seafood was tender and cooked perfectly. The sauce was less savory than I've had in the past. Let's put it this way. You didn't really want to dip your bread into it. Once in a while, I get the desire for meatballs and they were good, but the sauce was not as good as I've had in the past. I can taste good tomatoes when they're in a sauce and in this case, the quality of the tomatoes used as a base in this sauce was subpar. To make matters worse, we were seated in the second table right across from the bar as you walk in And a man came in with three little dogs(not service dogs). He came in to chat at the bar to a friend I assume. I wouldn't mind for a few minutes, but it was at least 3540 minutes that he was there and as we were eating, I could smell the dogs because I had the outside seat and I said something to the waiter and he said he really couldn't do anything about it. The man finally left. But you don't put dogs inside the restaurant right next to where a customer is eating, it's absurd. We did not order dinner dishes. It was a night that we wanted to eat light. It's usually a wonderful place to eat, but not that night....
