For a pub, they actually have great food. It's a scratch kitchen so you can customize your order. The Florida Harvest salad was amazing. I got the side size and it was perfect but comes in a very small bowl making it hard to eat. If you get the side size, strongly suggest asking them to put it on a plate. The entree size actually looks the same amount of salad, but on a normal size dish. The blackened shrimp was cooked perfectly and the berry vinaigrette was amazing. It does have a pub feel so keep that in mind when going. It also gets very crowded so I suggest going at an "off" peak time if you want to try it. read more

Came here on a Thursday night for Bingo night and it was so much fun! Some tips if you're going for Bingo: -Make a reservation ahead of time, and come early so you can eat first and then focus on your bingo cards! -Bingo starts around 6pm. There are colorful bingo markers on the table. -Bring cash! There's an ATM at the front of the restaurant if you forget. -Someone comes around to your table each round, and you can buy as many cards as you want for that round. Each round uses a different color of paper and a different shape to win. -Cards are $1 each for the first few rounds and $2 for the last couple of rounds. The jackpot for the first couple of rounds was around $250! -The numbers are called out and shown on multiple screens all over the restaurant, so it's easy to keep up. As for dinner, we ordered: Blue crab fritters, onion smashburger, shrimp & grits, and seafood pasta. I would skip the seafood pasta but I LOVED the blue crab fritters! They were so tasty, lightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a great sauce on the side. The burger was also good, but the real winner was the fries. They were perfectly crispy and so good that we ordered another basket for the table! The shrimp and grits were also so well flavored. I would definitely go back just for the shrimp and grits. read more

They changed the entire menu and vibe. It used to be a cute dive bar with good prices, now it doesn't have any of the bites offerings it did before that made the place special and stand out. Very unfortunate because this was our go to spot. The peculiar pub is no longer a pub it's now a tourist vibe and we have enough of those. 2 stars because the hostess and the waitress were very sweet read more

We went for a drink and got to watch the Rays and Lightning play at the same time. Bar tenders were great, friendly and attentive! We will definitely go back! read more

The Peculiar Pub - Espresso martini - Pubs Near Me - Bradenton, Florida

We stopped in for a Bloody Mary. They were out so the bartender went to a sister restaurant in the same center. That was very accommodating! The Bloodies were excellent and we were appreciative of the extra effort. The only inconvenience was where the restrooms were located. They were port-a-potties outside the back of the restaurant. It had been raining and the stairs up to the facility were quite slippery. Very odd arrangement! read more

Great food and service. Their brussels sprouts are amazing! We love sitting at the bar- always quick service and great conversations! If you're watching carbs, it's easy to switch things around. read more

Visited for lunch. Outstanding service. They did a great job with interior. All in our group were very pleased with the food.

New location is great. Bigger bar for pulling up for a cold one. Beer selection is always on point with plenty to choose from. Beer-tending staff know their beer and are happy to recommend or let you taste. Food at new local is even better than before with more tasty offerings. read more

A Local MUST STOP! The menu is very creative but it's very limited. This is more of a snack or quick bite menu with a drink but the food on this limited menu is absolutely amazing! Everything is scratch made and very fresh. Loved it! The ambiance is cool and comfortable and the service was awesome. We will definitely be back! read more

The food there is Very Over priced for what u get, We were a party of 4 and we ordered the regular grouper bites the menu said they were 12.00 whwn we got the bill the sever charged us 23, 00 they were only 4 -1 oz portion no flavor at all . We also ordered a Shrimp bowl for 20. that was the only thing that was worth the money. I also got a small fruit salad for 10. and I didn't like the lettuce that was served with it so the server changed out the salad but when we got the bill she had charged us for 2 salad . We each had a cocktail. The bill came and it was 148.00 for nothing .. I have been in the Restaurant business for over 60 years .. This restaurant really needs to look at their protions sizes .. We will never go back- there is to many better restaurants in Lakewood Ranch.. read more

Was in Lakewood Ranch and decided to check this place out. Was a nice cozy place. Pretty full, but someone slide over to give us 2 seats at the bar. My girl had a seltzer and I tried a couple of IPA's before settling on one. It was good, can't remember the name (sorry). The people around us were friendly and talkative. Always a plus. But the big thing that we loved was the friendliness and attentiveness of the bartenders. They were engaging, had smiles on their faces and seemed to enjoy being there. That made our visit more enjoyable and we stayed for a couple more drinks because of this. Definitely will revisit when back down that way! read more

Stopped in to meet some friends and was welcomed by a friendly "owner?" Server was sweet. Lots of beer options to choose from and she provided a few samples to make sure we got what we wanted/liked. We didn't try any of the food because we came here right after lunch, but it looked like they had a nice pub variety. Small but very well decorated inside. If I am back in the area, I will come again! read more

DUDDDEEE, They knocked down a hole wall and it's massive inside now. They are gonna have a second bar and they have a whole stage. Obviously love the variety of tap beer and the new eats are pretty good as well. We tried the nachos and though they were simple they were really delicious. Can't wait to be back. Oh they also have a bunch of tvs showing sports and cold beer so just go and check them out. Service was also good! read more

Are you really a local if you haven't been to Peculiar Pub? We were worried that we wouldn't like the new renovations to the old Craft Growler's to Go, but John knew what he was doing with remodeling this spot! It's still the same warm & welcoming environment, but a bit more updated with much more seating. They even have live music some evenings. You will always see familiar staff faces, and they're always more than happy to chat about their favorite recommendations. They will even offer you a sample if you're unsure. The rotating beers on tap are always a nice touch and encourage you to branch out, but they also have some reliable staples. The rotating beers plus the new food menu make it the perfect spot if you're just in the mood for great beer and small unique bites. Ask about the nightly food special! read more

We had a GREAT experience + dinner at Peculiar Pub. Food: The menu is excellent. The portions are perfect i.e., they aren't huge + oversized, which I GREATLY appreciate. They serve homemade pickles as a small bar snack -- really delicious with a hint of spice. We ordered: * Greek Yogurt Dip (8 out of 10) * Buffalo Chicken Meatballs (10 out of 10) * Hearts of Romaine Salad (8 out of 10) * Sloppy Peculiarwhich with Cowboy Caviar (10 out of 10) * Nachos with Pulled Pork (12 out of 10) The food was very fresh & made with quality ingredients. Drinks: They have a great selection of beers. We wanted a Guinness, but they swapped out the Guinness keg for a local option. We were skeptical at first, but wow - it was very similar to Guinness. We're always happy to support a local business, which makes it even better. They also offer a small selection of wine. Service: The service was top notch. We had a really good time talking to Tom (bartender), Evan (chef), and the other guys. Ambiance: It's only a small pub but it has a great vibe. Lots of TVs and the perfect quaint spot for sports. Location: It's conveniently located on Main Street LWR, across from Remi's. Overall, I highly recommend Peculiar Pub. It's a welcoming spot with good food & good beers. read more

This place is a gem. If you want to watch sports, listen to live music on Saturday nights and enjoy genuinely good food, the owner of this place has really nailed it. He even came over to talk to us about my son that has celiac. He also has an Italian restaurant in the same plaza that serves a lot of gluten-free options. Including mozzarella sticks, which are so hard to find for people with celiac. 100% recommend! read more

Very friendly service. Great beer selection, plus a few seltzers and wines. The best part is the food. It's a true gastropub. Nachos with cowboy caviar, Uncle John's sausage sandwich and the buffalo chicken meatballs were fantastic. They also have several TV's for Sunday football and a couple of different trivia nights to keep things going. read more

This is my favorite place on Main Street! Always a great time with great service. I have also found some of my favorite new beers there!!

Great food. Great services. Dog friendly. Ashlyn is the best server. Main Street Lakewood Ranch.

Why be conventional when you can be different? Peculiar Pub brings an unpretentious and uncoventional side to Main Street in Lakewood Ranch! I had an assortment of appetizers, my facorite of which were the pretzel sticks with various dips. The atmosphere is friendly. The co-owners are hands on and engage the customers. The beer menu is extensive yet balanced with a wide array of food. The priced are reasonable, making this an accessible and affordable option. A comfortable spot to meet or unwind on your own! read more

Tried for lunch this week. I tried the chicken meatballs with side salad. I loved the meatballs, didn't care for carrot salad but loved the side salad. Just tried out this place after living here for the last several months. So grateful to finally find a place that serves really good beer! Beer is excellent and the food is quite good. Definitely not typical "bar food.: The staff are super friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back to such a welcoming place. It is nice to find a great place to go to on the weekends that is not completely overrun by tourists. For an appetizer I strongly recommend the Burrata & Bruschetta. read more

Awesome place to enjoy lunch and a great IPA. Loved the nachos with the pulled pork topping.

Beer selection is super impressive. Lots to choose from. Don't worry if you can't decide, the bartender (forget his name, but he's from Indiana) will help you out! Really knowledgeable but even better, he's really engaging with the costumers. And it's very genuine. He may even give you a sample of their spicy pickle slices. Banging! Decor inside is awesome too; classic rock album covers and craft brewery signs galore. Very cool. Don't expect a fancy bar, but it's very clean without being sterile. Stopped here for a couple of beers before our reservation at the sushi place across the street. Wish we had more time to hang here. Wish I got pics. But other reviews have some. read more
