The food there is Very Over priced for what u get, We were a party of 4 and we ordered the regular grouper bites the menu said they were 12.00 whwn we got the bill the sever charged us 23, 00 they were only 4 -1 oz portion no flavor at all . We also ordered a Shrimp bowl for 20. that was the only thing that was worth the money. I also got a small fruit salad for 10. and I didn't like the lettuce that was served with it so the server changed out the salad but when we got the bill she had charged us for 2 salad . We each had a cocktail. The bill came and it was 148.00 for nothing .. I have been in the Restaurant business for over 60 years .. This restaurant really needs to look at their protions sizes .. Was in Lakewood Ranch and decided to check this place out. Was a nice cozy place. Pretty full, but someone slide over to give us 2 seats at the bar. My girl had a seltzer and I tried a couple of IPA's before settling on one. It was good, can't remember the name (sorry). The people around us were friendly and talkative. Always a plus. But the big thing that we loved was the friendliness and attentiveness of the bartenders. They were engaging, had smiles on their faces and seemed to enjoy being there. That made our visit more enjoyable and we stayed for a couple more drinks because of this. Definitely will revisit when back down that way! read more

A Local MUST STOP! The menu is very creative but it's very limited. This is more of a snack or quick bite menu with a drink but the food on this limited menu is absolutely amazing! Stopped in to meet some friends and was welcomed by a friendly "owner?" Server was sweet. Lots of beer options to choose from and she provided a few samples to make sure we got what we wanted/liked. We didn't try any of the food because we came here right after lunch, but it looked like they had a nice pub variety. Small but very well decorated inside. DUDDDEEE, They knocked down a hole wall and it's massive inside now. They are gonna have a second bar and they have a whole stage. Obviously love the variety of tap beer and the new eats are pretty good as well. We tried the nachos and though they were simple they were really delicious. Can't wait to be back. We were worried that we wouldn't like the new renovations to the old Craft Growler's to Go, but John knew what he was doing with remodeling this spot! It's still the same warm & welcoming environment, but a bit more updated with much more seating. They even have live music some evenings. You will always see familiar staff faces, and they're always more than happy to chat about their favorite recommendations. They will even offer you a sample if you're unsure. The rotating beers on tap are always a nice touch and encourage you to branch out, but they also have some reliable staples. The rotating beers plus the new food menu make it the perfect spot if you're just in the mood for great beer and small unique bites. Ask about the nightly food special! read more

This place is a gem. If you want to watch sports, listen to live music on Saturday nights and enjoy genuinely good food, the owner of this place has really nailed it. He even came over to talk to us about my son that has celiac. He also has an Italian restaurant in the same plaza that serves a lot of gluten-free options. Drinks: They have a great selection of beers. We wanted a Guinness, but they swapped out the Guinness keg for a local option. We were skeptical at first, but wow - it was very similar to Guinness. We're always happy to support a local business, which makes it even better. They also offer a small selection of wine. Service: The service was top notch. We had a really good time talking to Tom (bartender), Evan (chef), and the other guys. Ambiance: It's only a small pub but it has a great vibe. Lots of TVs and the perfect quaint spot for sports. Very friendly service. Great beer selection, plus a few seltzers and wines. The best part is the food. It's a true gastropub. Nachos with cowboy caviar, Uncle John's sausage sandwich and the buffalo chicken meatballs were fantastic. Just tried out this place after living here for the last several months. So grateful to finally find a place that serves really good beer! Beer is excellent and the food is quite good. Definitely not typical "bar food.: The staff are super friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back to such a welcoming place. It is nice to find a great place to go to on the weekends that is not completely overrun by tourists. For an appetizer I strongly recommend the Burrata & Bruschetta. read more

Decor inside is awesome too; classic rock album covers and craft brewery signs galore. Very cool. Don't expect a fancy bar, but it's very clean without being sterile. I am not sure what everybody is excited about on here. This is mediocrity at its finest. They do have a large selection of craft beers but I'm not a beer drinker. The menu is small and average. Food was average. The noise level was immense. A lot of it coming from one table. I asked two staff members to see if they could quiet it down as my date and I were having a hard time talking. They did nothing. So I went over there and asked the people to just tone it down a little bit. About 20 minutes later after they had left the manager came over to bitch me out for talking to his customers. After I explained that to staff refused to do something so I felt I had to or else just leave before I got served my food or paid for it. He calmed down a little bit and eventually did he apologized. Nonetheless, they're a lot better places to go. So the food and service is average. And that's the reason for this Three star rating. Save the aggravation and go someplace else. read more

This is a fantastic local spot which has quickly become a favorite. The beer selection is excellent and constantly changing. The food is wonderful, creative and always consistent. The chef puts his own twist on classic pub fare and makes it guilt-free with nothing fried (I recommend the chicken club or pastrami reuben). The owners clearly have a passion for the business and the service is always superb with the staff being extremely accommodating. Our first time at Peculiar Pub but not our last! The atmosphere is friendly. The wait staff attentive. The tacos were delicious, with the perfect (not overwhelming) amount of heat. The owner stopped by our table and welcomed us. My husband (from Maine) loved that he could order 'Lunch' from the Maine Brewing Company. My beer was citrusy and light-as advertised.
