Well, about a year and a half or so ago a couple friends of mine and I went to the pentatonic and sat at a booth and nobody came in and even said hi or will be right with you. Nothing we sat there for 15 minutes with people walking by us so over and over so we left and just now my boyfriend and I went in and sat at the bar and nobody talk to us. Nobody even acknowledged USA sitting there didn't say we'll be right with you. Nothing- Yes they were busy, but still should have at least acknowledged us. We were sitting there for like 10 minutes. Wow! Must have driven by this place 100 times and never stopped. Were we missing out! This place is really clean and welcoming. I had the short ribs that melted in my mouth and came with delicious mashed potatoes and a generous side of broccoli. Normally restaurants skimp on the vegetables but I was so pleased that this place does not. Hubby had Parmesan chicken which he raved about too. Sat at a table in the bar with our good friends on 9/13. Great service with awesome cocktails and wine pours. The HH Street corn dip and nachos were great with huge portions. The shrimp cocktail and the French connection was tasty and good. The BBQ chicken flatbread was very tasty. Brianna, the bar manager, took great care of our table and is awesome. The fish videos on the monitors and the ambiance is first class. We definitely will be back. read more

Happy hour is a great deal with generous fun options from drinks to eats! Full disclosure, I love this place, the decor and menu has always been a stand out. The fish tacos have the BEST flavor! (If you are a spice & sauce loving person this is a must try!) We sit at the bar and have a different expectation of service when we do. We asked & reminded them of the water requested 5x. The cocktail was so weak we were not sure if it was just soda or had anything in it. They did say during HH if you want to get it ordered, let the bartender know to order in advance, to have a backup at half price in the wings. I thought that was very nice! There are so many items on their menu to write home about. However today was special. I wanted a sweet sauce for my crab cakes and they had a good but tangy one on their menu. I almost switched to my second menu option but the waitress said we can make you the special sauce you want. I described what i was looking for and the kitchen nailed it. No one in the group complained about the food, but no one praised it either. Inside set up left a lot to be desired as well. The bartender, who was quite abrupt and grumpy, had to reorder them twice. My wife and I were glad to get a reservation at this very popular place. We were seated near the bar on a very busy Thursday evening. Looking over the menu, my wife opted for "grouper" bites and a small salad. I got the New Bedford scallops and shrimp. I will say the shrimp were expertly prepared and some of the best I had in recently memory. The risotto was nicely executed and the sauce was delicious. But... the scallops were clearly frozen and the kitchen did do a nice job trying to sear the 3 frozen scallops. However, you can't mistake the texture of a frozen scallop. At a $39 price point, I do not understand serving frozen scallops? A closer look around the menu and one can see that frozen seafood is a mainstay of the offerings there. In addition to the frozen scallops, the restaurant serves frozen crab legs, lobster tails, green mussels, corn, I could go on I am sure. The "grouper bites" were hardly identifiable as fish much less grouper. The thick and abundant breading was just way too much for the measly bit of protein it was concealing. Fin & Tonic definitely deserves five stars. We ate in the restaurant, and the food was delicious while the wait staff were friendly. Later, I booked the back room--which includes its own bar--for a holiday party for our Scuba Club. Javi, the owner, made sure everything was ready to go and helped with all the decisions on the food selection. The meal was served family-style and began with drinks and delicious hors d'oeuvres. The background music created a great atmosphere for conversation and mingling. The wait staff included Jessica and Selena. Both were excellent, but Selena went above and beyond. She is a high-energy person, extremely attentive to every detail, and always eager to help whenever she saw a need. She even helped set up the monitors for our slideshow, which was a big help. The food was plentiful and very delicious. Everyone at the party was extremely impressed by how Fin & Tonic hosted the event. We went back for happy hour and enjoyed this place again. They have changed the menu, but it's still very good. I love the crispy brussel sprouts and the grouper bites. Our service was lacking, but I think the girl was new and overloaded with tables. It took a good half hour just to get drinks, and some of our food orders were screwed up too. The waitress could not answer any of our questions about the food or drinks (for example, what's a French Martini?). Sounds and looks like a management issue to me. read more

First, I should say, I went there with my bowling group of about 20 people. Because it was on a Tuesday, we ordered burgers. The burgers were good, not great. I felt the prices were kind of high for the seafood. As we were a large group, I felt the service was excellent. They were able to accommodate our group, including getting the food out simultaneously and giving everyone separate checks without making people wait a long time. I would go back again to try the seafood. All in all, not a bad place, but not a fabulous place either. read more

I love a locally owned, family run restaurant and fin and tonic does not disappoint. I had the strip steak with Boursin. It was perfectly cooked and the portion was very generous. My son had the burger with loaded tots. Others in our party had the pork chop, peel and eat shrimp and soup of the day. We had the apple pie and key lime pie for dessert and they were fabulous. Our appetizer was Parmesan butter oysters. Food quality, presentation, wait staff, portion size, decor, parking and price point makes me wish I could leave higher than 5 stars. We went to Finn & Tonic for the first time. I didn't even know this place existed. It opened in October It's on 41. The restaurant is beautiful with 3 bars and a beautiful dining room. Everything was delicious ! We had the duck appetizer, the tilefish special, the steak, wine and strawberry mojito. The dessert we picked the NY style cheesecake. Our waitress Jess was so sweet and the owner even came over to the table to ask how our meal was. Can't wait to try their other dishes. Only thing that can approve is the were servers standing against the wall chatting which was very close to were we were eating. It wasn't our server ..but a lady and a man. I didn't like that every time I looked up from my meal I was seeing them standing right infront of me chatting. Find a different spot to be attentive to guests . Visited on Sunday 12-14. The Lobster Bisque was so salty that it was almost inedible. Told the waitress but nothing was done about it. The parm Risotto was not cooked enough. The rice pieces were literally hard on the inside. The Tuna stack was just ok. Not a lot of flavor. My friend had the same experience with her lobster bisque. She got the grouper nuggets and they tasted fishy and not like it was really grouper. Service was meh. The restaurant interior was very nice. Overall very disappointed in this restaurant. Had dinner last night. Immediately we were impressed by the quality of the decor - we all loved the interior makeover! Our server was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable on the menu. For dinner we started with the Deviled Eggs - smoked chipotle whipped yolk, pork belly burnt ends, chives. I found them to be very tasty and creative with the burnt ends! Next up Caesar Salad - focaccia croutons, crisp romaine, kale, parmesan cheese, creamy caesar dressing. An expertly prepared salad, the dressing was very good. And for dinner, Tuna Mignon - spicy asian mustard, orange ginger demi, crisp green cabbage, edamame, radish, bell pepper, chopped peanuts, fresno chilies. I thought the tuna was cooked to perfection, rare. One note, the dish was indeed spicy, although it was jalapeños in the dish that made it hot, not listed on the ingredients list. Not a big deal to me as I like the heat, however, it wasn't expected, and the heat was overpowering the other flavors in the dish. We enjoyed our experience! read more

This place was very disappointing. The food was truly terrible. The risotto was bland and undercooked with standing butter over the top and shrimp with no seasoning. I literally could not keep it down. The service wasn't great, no plates for our appetizer (which that shrimp dish wasn't bad), never took our menus away, left us waiting long periods of time to order etc. We really wanted to love this place but it just was such a waste of time and money. read more

Had a great meal last night and the hospitality from every member of the staff was exceptional. They've only been open 2 weeks and it's obvious their menu is exploratory. Nick, our server walked us through what he felt was working best on the menu and his recommendations were perfect. The Swedish meatballs weren't something I would normally order but finding out the Chef was Swedish made me want to try them out. It was a spectacular dish. The drinks were delicious as well. Not a gin drinker but wanted to try their signature cocktail and again was pleasantly surprised. Javi margarita was also a hit. Javi stopped by the table and was an absolute pleasure to chat with.
