We had a Groupon to be used for 4 people and shoe rental for 2 hours. As we arrived at this Bowlero location, we were informed that we could not use the Groupon because it was "holiday season" and they weren't accepting Groupons. It's currently Spring break and we are locals to Sarasota. After reading the fine print and terms of service, none of this was written and this Bowlero location should have honored the Groupon. We contacted another location of Bowlero, in Bradenton, and they weren't very receptive of us calling them and said they would "absolutely" honor the Groupon. Unfortunately, we now have to drive 52 minutes north to another location so we can utilize a Groupon. At this point, we will not recommend the Gulf Gate location nor will we ever visit this location again. Very unfortunate. read more

My family had a really good time here today. I found a deal on Groupon for 2 Hours of Bowling with shoes for 4 people. The redemption of my voucher was smooth and quick at the check-in desk. The shoes were comfortable, not very worn and pretty stylish by rented bowling shoe standards! We settled in and ordered the Alley Sampler. It came out fairly quickly, and it wasn't bad. For 4 people to share, it was decent if you liked at least 2 or 3 of the options. My daughter also ordered the nachos. She said they were decent. I think all the ceiling fans make your food get cold really quickly. I ordered a Southern Charm and hubby got a Modelo. The refreshments are nothing to write home about, but similar to throwing some frozen food into the air fryer at home. The facility was clean and the staff were nice and helpful. We would definitely return on a future trip to Sarasota. read more

Bowled tonight at this center and it was at least 85 degrees on the lanes. That is really unacceptable! I spoke with the manager and she said she had to check on it and that the unit is on the roof! The ceiling fan was broken too (over 9 & 10). Come on by 6 pm if the place isn't cool there is a problem! read more

i had the worst experience of my life here. It was demeaning and disgraceful. I went here with my husband on our honeymoon. We were from Pennsylvania and traveled here for the week. We were very excited to bowl, however it ended in me almost in tears over an incident with a young blonde bar tender who didn't look much older than 21 herself. I myself am 21, almost 22. I went to get a white claw from this young woman before our game. She immediately stopped me and said my ID was clearly "fake." I assured her it wasn't and asked if they had a card reader to prove it is in fact real. I thought maybe it just looked different to her since I am from a different state. She looked at me very rudely and almost laughed/kinda smirked and said she would not serve me because she can tell it's a fake ID "clearly". YES, she card CLEARLY. I'm like staying calm but getting very frustrated because I just got married and this whole week have had no issues with my very real ID. I asked if she could provide me with a reason as to why she thought it was fake. She said there was damage to the card indicating it's fake (she's kinda correct?? there is a very small scratch on the back possibly?) after the encounter we investigated my card thoroughly and thought maybe there was a slight scratch, but that was with holding my husbands flash over it and looking for multiple minutes. We don't think she could've even seen the small indentation/little mark. she then followed up by saying "I'm looking at this ID and I know what I'm doing. It's fake darling." and smiled at me in a beer condescending way. I do not like conflict so I decided to just walk away and go play my game. However my husbands father was there with us and he was unhappy by this young ladys response, as he knows I'm 21. We're staying with him at his place during our honeymoon. He went to talk to her and that's where she got even ruder. She was saying things like "they're lying about being here on their honeymoon. No airport would let her fly with that ID. I know a fake when I see it." It just made me feel very uneasy and upset me for the rest of my honeymoon. It's almost a week later and it still is making me angry. After our game of bowling, when we were walking out to go home, she looked right at me with the most sarcastic rude look I have ever seen. just so bitchy!! and I was never rude to her!! Just so confused as I'm trying to enjoy my honeymoon. I'm aware I look young for my age, but I mean I HAVE AN ID. A REAL ID. UGH. She only said something about "damage" to my card after I begged her to tell me what was wrong with my card and why she thinks it's fake. She followed this whole thing up with "but either way it's clearly a fake Id." Her saying "Either way" is her way of saying regardless of if there is damage or not, it's not real. I told her that i can call the cops and they can investigate this further, and she laughed at me. LAUGHED. If she truly believed my ID was not real, she should've kept it at that. The extra commentary and attitude are the reason I'm so angry. I am a very tame, calm person and spoke to her in that same way I'd speak to Antonio around me. Her on the other hand, you'd think I was screaming and throwing a fit the way she spoke to me, demeaning me!! I will be adding pics from my 21st birthday below that was almost a year ago, because I feel the need to prove myself for some reason. It's disheartening that I have to provide such proof read more

Found out they do not respect that, mistake on our website and other excuses. Then they said $6 a game but failed to mention it is per person. Let's say it was fun but one time thing. NOT COOL! I felt like I stepped into the 80's. We had a bowling party here. Food was what you expect at kids event but marginal. The staff was exceptional. The place was very clean and I couldnt believe I was able to get a size 14 shoe. Yeah. Normal have to squeeze into a 13. Bartender was amazing . If I could give negative 5 stars, I would. Management is rude and terrible. I frequent Bowlero often. I am using my throwaway account because I fear of management retaliation. She is extremely snappy. A lane my team and I were on broke down, the button to call wasn't working, so we went to the front desk to inform them it wasn't working properly, and she immediately snapped back, "WE'RE AWARE! WE'RE TRYING TO FIX IT!" Then turned her back on us. The manager price gouges, management is incredibly rude and unprofessional. She should not be in the manager position. The manager charges $3 for a cup of water. If you want free water, you get a tiny cup of water with no lid. If you ask for something with a lid because you're afraid of it spilling, ruining your bowling shoes, etc. You have to pay. The kids at the snack stand apologized profusely and said they're told to do this by management. The bathrooms are disgusting and filthy. The garbage tins in the ladies stalls are overflowing with used sanitary supplies and attracts bugs. It's so gross there. I've been to several Bowleros throughout Florida and I've never had the problems with them the way I do with Gulf Gate. read more

If i could give them less than a star I would. This facility does not have handicapped accessible bathrooms which violates ADA. They offer no excuses except they 'have larger sized stalls.' This means my disabled daughter is unable to perform the basic human right of using a bathroom alone. And with help, the stall door has to be open for the world to see her naked. It's a disgrace and they should be fined. You should all be ashamed. read more

For starters, the website says 8-10 PM for unlimited bowling when it's really 7-10. My family of four went and we had Lane 7 which kept breaking down and we had to call assistance. Our waitress was great but the food, dry hard chicken tenders that were inedible. At one point, I walked to the snack bar to get a cup of water and watched an employee with her bare hands pull out of a bag what looked like tater tots. I told our waitress and front desk and they said they would tell a manager. Just disgusting. read more

You are also blinded by the hugh video screens above the pins at the other end... these images reflect off the lanes blinding you!!
