Girls night out turned EPIC! What started as a casual dinner turned into a spontaneous bowling adventure. Shoutout to Google for leading us to Pin Chasers. Definitely the BEST decision we made!! From 9pm to closing at 12:30am, it was only $12.99/person for unlimited bowling, $1 pizza slices, hot dogs, fries and Pepsi. What an awesome deal!! FYI - this is a special deal ONLY on Mondays called Dollarmania! They do have special deals on certain days, you can see it on their website. Also, bowling shoe rentals and a pair of brand new socks, if needed are included in the price, which came in handy for 2 of us that wasn't wearing socks. Fair warning, this isn't your shiny brand new bowling alley. It's definitely nostalgic and giving old school vibes in the best way. There was fun music, friendly staff, and nonstop laughter echoing down the lanes, especially ours! It wasn't spotless, though the staff was on it. Cleaning, resetting and keeping things moving. This place is your typical bowling alley that has been in the area for years. Operated like a normal one, totally smells like one & bowling alley foods. Nothing against them at all. Because though I love the atmosphere surrounding Splitsville. I'd take this one over it . They have daily bowling specials and plenty of food & drink specials too! Service was fine! The bartender was really cool ! Plenty of seating around the bowling lanes. Lots of TVs to watch sports. I was in town for a bowling tournament and spent two and a half days here. First, the lanes are GREAT! Well maintained and challenging. There was definitely a "home field" effect. However, I looked at normal pricing and it's priced greatly for a family night out. ($16 for an adult on prime time) which is great if you consider they don't charge extra for shoes. The entire weekend I was looking for one server, Alex, who was amazing the entire time. She took my order one time and never forgot my name or order. Honestly, the world could use more people like her. I know she was busy (and worked the entire event every day of the tournament) but she never seemed phased. She smiled the whole time and seemed genuinely there. The food pricing was good. I saw a lot of different menu options but they all were prepared as advertised and I heard no one complain about their food or send anything back. The bar has EXCELLENT happy hour pricing as well.$5.50 for their well whiskey, tequila and vodka with good happy hour timing. For those who need to know: the pro shop was great. I needed a cleaner and recommendation because the one I got from Amazon had a pump failure night one. They gave me a great recommendation and it was great prepping my ball for the last day. The place is rundown and dirty, outdated. Our table had not been properly cleaned and the bowling balls felt greasy and gross, also obviously not cleaned. Bathroom was dirty. The $10 reservation fee is separate from the lame charge, which is super lame. The bowling alley also offers an arcade room and pool table if you get tired of bowling. The bar and snack bar has a decent selection of snacks and beverages with a kiosk for order and delivery directly to your lane. For those with a sweet tooth, the red velvet cookie was delish. After being stuck at home for months it was nice to get out for a family day activity. We enjoyed Cyber bowling last Saturday and had a lot of fun. Upon entry the staff took our temperature and got us set up with shoes and a freshly sanitized lane. The lane server was attentive and friendly. The staff had the other bowlers spread out throughout the facility to help with social distancing. Several hand sanitizing stations were located throughout the facility and it was obvious the staff was taking extra precautions and conducting additional cleaning throughout. read more

Great bowling place! They have excellent COVID precautions in place - temperature checks, staff wearing gloves/masks, sanitizer, and good social distancing. You are given an assigned lane with the bowling balls already there. A server also comes around to take your order (ours was super sweet), which is a great addition. They definitely work extremely hard. I constantly saw them cleaning everything and going to everyone's lanes. As for the experience itself, they have a arcade, pool tables, and great bowling lanes. Easy to request lanes beforehand! We came with a big group on a Saturday night around 10pm and had no problem - wasn't crowded either. The only problem was that you only have two hours to play for $16. It should be unlimited. We only made it through a game and a half. Shoes are the usual $3-$4. The food was pretty good too. Since there was a lot of us we had nachos, fries, pizza, chicken tenders - your basic bowling food. I saw they even had healthy alternatives such as salad, but I mean who wants a salad at a bowling alley ha.The food was all reasonably priced as well as the pitchers of beer. I believe $13 for pitchers and $6-$10 for apps and whatnot. Definitely a great place for families. I've been to bowling alleys that are so much better. Each lane has a table assigned to it with uncomfortable plastic chairs for non-players to sit and observe. Every other lane the table is so far away that you have to hope someone isn't in your way to see what's going on. I made reservations online for a Saturday night & it said I would receive a confirmation. I never did so a couple days later I called to check. The man didn't even try to search for my reservation, just made me a new one. Makes me think the online reserve feature isn't very reliable. When we arrived tonight to check in for our reservation the man working the cash register straight up ignored us, assisted 2 other customers that walked up after us, and talked into his ultra important walkie talkie a couple times before making his way to us. Even if there was something imperative that he needed to address he could have at least acknowledged us standing there and say he'll be right with us but nope, nothing. Rude. The lines for refreshments were so long and slow, at times there weren't any employees to be found anywhere. They lost out on at least 2 sales from my group because we got tired of waiting for someone to assist us. The arcade area seemed decent. The food didn't look that great. Beer was priced right. First time here on 5/14/22 with the hubby on date night, and we had a blast. This location could use some updating and renovating, but it was pretty clean for a bowling alley. It has online reservations, new and clean bowling shoes, AMAZING bar, nice attendants who come to the lane to take your order, and nice daily specials. I came here from out of town, and was looking to do some bowling to pass the time. I was only aloud to bowl here if I made a reservation on line. My gf and I ordered some food, and waited over an hour to bowl. When I got up there I was told that my reservation I made on line did not go through, and they were not willing to help out. If you want to make a lane reservation here you need to be a rocket scientist to to do so. If they know you have been waiting there for over an hour they still will not help you. I came in on this Tuesday evening and was pleasantly surprised to see the facility was nearly full of people from all walks of life enjoying themselves. I was shocked to learn that for about $10 per person we were entitled to unlimited frames of bowling and unlimited pizza until midnight. I don't think I could find a better deal ever with regard to entertainment. The staff was very courteous and friendly and informed us of this special deal. The two people working were quite helpful and efficient and very willing to cater to our needs. I enjoyed some cheese pizza which was available at the snack area by the slice and hot and fresh and had a good layer of cheese and a nice crust that wasn't overcooked. In addition to cheese, pepperoni was offered as well. There was ample pizza available and never a shortage. In addition, in the food service area there was a pitcher of ice water and a stack of cups for when your thirst hits mid game. Located off Armenia Ave., this location is very convenient to central and west Tampa locales. The business offers ample parking spaces for its patrons. Why 4 stars? Because it's everything you'd hope for in a bowling alley. --- --- --- I have been to Pin Chasers many times, so I was shocked to see that I have actually never reviewed it! I suppose I never took the time to write a few words about it, because I can't really think of any experience that I've had at any bowling alley in my life that was significantly better or worse than any other. All bowling alleys pretty much look the same, smell the same and offer the same features. I've never particularly had a bad experience at Pin Chasers. I enjoy bowling, despite having no discernible bowling skills. I tend to always have a smile on my face when I'm here. I like supporting a local company (only 3 locations, all in the Bay Area) over a national company. While I haven't ever eaten here, I did notice a more robust menu at the bar, which definitely had some more variety than you might typically expect to find at a bowling alley. While we were tempted to check out one of those pizzas, we opted to eat lunch elsewhere, after bowling. I did notice that the beer selection was lacking - I hope that Pin Chasers can embrace the amazing beer scene that we have here in Tampa Bay and carry some local stuff on tap in the future. When we went to rent shoes, the girl behind the desk mentioned that we could just wear our own shoes if we'd like, as long as they were closed-toed. I've never been told that before, but was happy to not have to go through that process. However, I ended up tripping on my own shoes three different times during the game I played, including the last frame, which cost me the game! Bowling...I mean how excited can you get over 20 or 30 frames on vacation?? These guys nailed a chill 10pm venue for value and victory! Staff was super helpful as Larry and Victoria both went the extra mile to make sure we knew how to get the best bang for our buck...not to mention to mention the "Yelp check in" free drink. I'm telling you we left lots of money on the table since we were only a family of 3 with a young girl and arrived after dinner and drinks elsewhere. This would have been a great 5-8pm start and finish by 1am outing given all the discounts when you buy some package. Personally just not interested in eating at a bowling alley...but drinks here are super affordable and the place is kept really clean in general! Larry guided us thru the VR game so we didn't waste $5/min failing and that rig was pretty slick. It's definitely worth filming someone for their first run. In my book, at $5 per head, a definite must do. Victoria laid out their monthly agenda and the regular Friday night battle lanes sound worth a try for a group of 4-5 against another team doing goofy rules. As a show of genuine graciousness, they didn't hassle me in any way about my herbal tea and even reset our lane score when the kid went rogue while the adults hit the head. With the crappy summer weather. No one likes to go out with the kids to a theme park, beach or even have a picnic outdoors. It's sticky and hot out there! Due to this, we started visiting the bowling alley. I always look for 3 things when hanging at a place with the kids. These are A/C, Activity and Beer. As long as these items are checked off. We will be there! The kids enjoy the atmosphere and I enjoy relaxing with cool air while keeping the kids occupied. They have a daily special and a kid/adult frequent summer pass. ($15 for 15 games kids, $20 for 15 games adults) During the weekends it would be wise to reserve a lane. It's busy in there! Pool tables, arcade, concession stand and full bar. What fun for the whole fam!!! Went here on a Saturday around 4pm. The bowling ally was starting to get a little bit crowded, but that is to be expected on the weekends. We all bowled for 2 hours for around $50(there was 2 adults and 2 kids) and that also included each of us getting a $5 game card to use in the arcade. I only have ONE complaint....the individual areas behind each ally are set up oddly. We where bowling directly beside another family but our table was located all the way at the top of the stairs and theirs was on the ally floor directly behind where we bowled. I felt as tho we where in their space and it was slightly uncomfortable. Plus when the adults where bowling we had to have someone stay up top with the kids. Aside from that, I love this place! The employees where very nice and friendly. When I checked in here on yelp I got a coupon for a free drink at the food area. When I went to get my drink the guy said "oh this is for a whole pitcher of soda if you would like?" Of course I said yes! They have yummy foods and a full bar as well. Holy butt farts. This place is struggling. They apologized a good six or seven times over the loud speaker for how bad their service blowed. Right off the bat, they close the bar at 10am, which makes no sense to me. They have one long haired stoner serving everyone, therefore there is a 40 min wait for beers and such. Next they had a line of about 20 people waiting for food and just told them "no, we closed" , with zero warning. Also, their shit website said they are open till 2am and they closed at midnight. This place was the worst bowling alley I've ever frequented. Will not go back unless they start giving out BJs. Overall I give this place a flipping one star , but I bowled so good I gave it two. read more

Cheap prices, clean facilities, and CYBER BOWLING! My husband and I had a blast bowling with my sister and would definitely come back to Pin Chasers Midtown! There was a nice music selection playing on the tv screens, but quite a few tv monitors were fuzzy... maybe it was the music station they were playing? We didn't check out the snack bar since our goal was to burn calories and have fun without food. For those that are not on a diet: pizza, burgers, beer, wine, soda and treats are available for sale at the snack bar. This looks like a fun place to have a birthday party. $45 = 2 hours of bowling, pitcher of beer, shoes included. What more can I say? The only reason I take away one star is the touch screens are sometimes a little difficult to control. It took us a while to put in all our names and we just used initials! Also at one point it froze and we had to wait a while for it to be fixed, which I would have been more upset about if we actually cared about getting our full 2 hours. There are 50 lanes in this place, so even on a Friday night when it seemed quite busy there were lanes ready right away. I was impressed by how packed the alley was. It gives the place a great vibe. There were people of all ages at the alley, older groups, teenage groups, young couple groups, etc. Everyone was eating, drinking (either alcoholic or non alcoholic) and generally enjoying themselves. There are actually 6 chairs available for each bowling lane (6 around a table on the level of the lane for one lane and 6 behind around a table up a couple of steps for the next lane). This is super convenient, since 6 is the max you can have for a lane. If you are in a lane that is closer to 50, you have to walk far across the building to get your bowling ball. My suggestion is get your balls when you get your shoes. There is a little arcade area, but I didn't play any of the games. At around 10 p.m.? (I honestly lost track of time) they darkened the lights, turned up the music, and had light patterns moving across the ground. You may either find this super awesome, or super distracting. At first, it totally threw off my game (the little I had to begin with), but then I really enjoyed it. The music was old top 40s (think Brittany Spears, I'm Coming Out, Heaven, etc.), but it is fun to bop to as you wait for your turn. read more

Our experience at Pin Chasers (on Armenia) started with us being given shoes off a pile on the counter, having no idea if they were actually sanitized or not. Food and drinks came out perfect and quick. The bartender, Jennie, was absolutely amazing and the only reason I put 3 stars instead of 1. While we were leaving the woman at the front desk (Jennifer) called my younger cousin, unprovoked, a 'dumb*ss' and 'b*tch' for something somebody else did. The police officer on duty and the manager then proceeded to kick us out for asking why she felt it was okay to speak to a customer this way. The manager also told us to "f*ck off" as we were leaving. We all know what customer service is like and this was absolutely not appropriate. read more
