Our wonderful waitress. I forgot her name, thankful for helping us surprise my mother n law.

It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we were looking for a place that felt welcoming and, of course, served bubbly. It happened to be my mother-in-law's birthday, and while she was on a call, I quickly stepped inside and met our wonderful waitress (I believe her name was Erica?).I mentioned it was a surprise celebration and asked if she could bring out three mimosas. By the time my mother-in-law walked in, the mimosas were waiting-such a thoughtful touch! The service was absolutely top-notch, the food was delicious, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting, almost like being in someone's home. Everything exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone living in or visiting Sarasota. Thank you for helping us make such a special memory!

Clean interior. Service was pretty quick. Food was delicious. The sauce was so so good and the hash browns were crispy. The prices are very decent too! Great breakfast/lunch/brunch place. Hidden in the corner of a large plaza.

They have a variety on the menu. We ordered omelettes, but first time we have eaten an omelette filled with the topping. Normally everything is made together, not just put inside of a ready omelette and folded. Potatoes was good.

Eggs over easy with sausage patty and home fries

What a great way to start the day. The turkey spinach tomato omelette was light and airy at also came with grits and toast. The eggs over easy were cooked to perfection. Sausage patties are not over seasoned as well as the home fries. Service was attentive. Ambience was light and airy, watercolor art is for sale. Definitely coming back.

First time at this restaurant and upon walking in it was very clean and not crowded. We were seated and given menus. I ordered the classic eggs Benny and my hubby had the Benny lox. It was soooo delicious! I got it with hash browns and also came with an orange slice. The English muffin and the holandaise were perfect! We loved the whole meal! Definitely will go again.

Good restaurant in Sarasota. We went early on a Monday morning before heading home from a Siesta Key weekend. There was only one other table filled in there when we arrived. We had the kids chocolate chip pancakes and cream cheese stuffed French toast with berries. They were both very good, I enjoyed the flavor of the French toast with the berries. It's in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. Service was good my coffee cup was never empty. Cute decor as well..

Actually, just get there early anyway because the pastry items are fresher/better. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I typically skip trying to park next to it and just go to the garage and walk over. The service is more attentive than a typical French cafe overseas but not as on top of you as a typical place in the US. You can definitely order at the counter in French if you want to and I've had a waiter there flip between English, French, Spanish, and another language (maybe Romanian?) in one order. The sandwiches I've had were all lovely, and had a little side salad that could benefit from a better dressing (they serve an okay vinaigrette though). I've yet to encounter a single bad pastry - the elcairs, mousse cakes, and flaky pastries like chausson pommes are on par with the typical boulangerie/pattisserie in France and don't make me think US adaptation at all. Prices are reasonable.

I started with a cappuccino, and it was perfection rich, smooth, and exactly what you need to wake up. For food, the savory crepe was outstanding. It had that perfect authentic texture slightly crisp on the edges and soft in the middle. I also tried the cauliflower soup, which was a surprising highlight. It was incredibly creamy and flavorful honestly, one of the best soups I've had in a long time. Highly recommend this gem if you're in the area!

Glowing Review of Figaro Bistro…read more My wife and I, along with friends, recently had the pleasure of attending a 5-course French Wine Dinner event at Figaro Bistro and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled in the charming Hillview area of Sarasota, Florida, this quaint bistro is a culinary gem that truly deserves praise. The start of our culinary journey began with a robust Charcuterie presentation, a delightful assortment of cured meats, cheeses, and flavorful accompaniments. This was perfectly paired with a refreshing Rosé that complemented the richness of the charcuterie. I didn't know it yet, but it set the tone for what was to become an exquisite evening. Next, we enjoyed the Salad au Blue et Noix, which featured delectable blue cheese and candied walnuts. Each bite was beautifully balanced, and the dish was perfectly paired with a lovely Côte de Rhône that elevated the flavors even further. The main courses were astounding and truly the stars of the evening. Having sampled French Cuisine around the globe, I can say the Sea Bass with Parmesan Risotto was nothing short of a revelation. Without hesitation or reservation, it truly was one of the top three entrees I have ever experienced in my life. Everyone at our table wholeheartedly agreed. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the risotto was creamy with a delightful Parmesan kick. It was paired with a magnificent White Bordeaux that enhanced the entire dish. Equally impressive was the Boeuf Bourguignon, which melted in the mouth and was accompanied by a similarly excellent Burgundy Bordeaux. Without a doubt, these dishes showcased the chef's incredible talent and passion for French cuisine. To conclude our meal, (as if we could possibly eat any more) we indulged in a superb Poire Belle-Hélène, a classic dessert that was elegantly paired with Champagne. This delightful finale encapsulated the entire dining experience--rich, balanced, and utterly satisfying. Cozy Atmosphere and Heartfelt Hospitality The atmosphere at Figaro Bistro was cozy and inviting, perfect for an intimate dinner or a special celebration. Chef Ronny, even took the time to come out and engage with us, sharing insights into the various dishes we were served. The new owner Sue and her daughter Erika were genuinely warm, caring, and down-to-earth, adding a personal touch to the evening that made us feel truly valued as guests. Having sampled some of the finest cuisines from around the world, I can confidently say that Figaro Bistro stands out among them. This small, quaint establishment in Sarasota has cultivated a dining experience that's exceptional and memorable. I left feeling enriched, and I can't wait to return to explore more of their exquisite offerings.

The lobster bisque was flavorful but a little too thin. It didn't feel like a traditional bisque. Almost made me feel like they were making it more thinned out to keep the cost down. Although, I'm not sure that is true. The eggs Benedict was beautifully presented and the croissant it came on was delightful, but the egg was way over cooked. It felt like chewing on rubber. Actually, I didn't know an eggs texture could get that rubbery. Someone really really tried to overdo it haha. The hollandaise sauce was a little too tangy. The tang was overpowering the taste of the hollandaise. Overall, I hope they stay and business and keep providing the community with an ethnic experience. Maybe have tastings for the crew when there is something new and the crew needs to be honest with the chef. I didn't try the pastries because nothing jumped out at my but I'm glad they have it in the store for a nice homey touch. If I was looking for somewhere to eat, I would recommend this place for sure.
