My son and I shared a delicious Belgian waffle and biscuits and gravy with perfectly cooked fried eggs, a rare find as most restaurants overcook them. The service was attentive and just right. While the restaurant's outdated atmosphere might not make it a top destination, it's worth a visit if you're in the area. It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we were looking for a place that felt welcoming and, of course, served bubbly. It happened to be my mother-in-law's birthday, and while she was on a call, I quickly stepped inside and met our wonderful waitress (I believe her name was Erica?).I mentioned it was a surprise celebration and asked if she could bring out three mimosas. By the time my mother-in-law walked in, the mimosas were waiting-such a thoughtful touch! The service was absolutely top-notch, the food was delicious, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting, almost like being in someone's home. Everything exceeded our expectations. When first walking into the establishment, they were not friendly....Came in to place a to go order....once they saw who was ordering they said they were not taking any to go orders because they were "busy"....even though the place was not packed. This place was fantastic, service was right to it, the food- I had the classic eggs Benedict and my partner had the 2/2/2; the English muffin was perfectly crispy, eggs perfectly poached and the hollandaise was just right. The French toast had a nice sweet vanilla flavor, soft inside with crispy outside. No complaints at all. read more

A good breakfast I popped in this morning for breakfast. It was busy when I arrived, although it did thin out by the time I left. I can accept my interactions with my server were short and to the point to it being busy. I also knew what I wanted when she stopped by to take my order, so there was no need for any discussion. My decision? Their Homemade Corned Beef Hash. The food arrived in good time, about 10 minutes. It looked great, especially their house potatoes that were cooked with sweet peppers and onions. I like when a restaurant puts in an effort to improve on just serving potatoes. The corned beef hash was also cooked with strips of onions and had a nice overall texture, but I could not taste any corned beef flavor. To be honest that is not that uncommon when I order corned beef hash in restaurants, I just enjoy what I am served. It was my first time listening to Christmas music while eating, seemed a little early being a week before Thanksgiving. I suppose if Sarasota already has Christmas lights lit along Main St. the season has begun. I should have received more attention, especially towards the end of my meal when there were fewer customers. I've gotten used to servers checking with me to see if I'm doing ok, and topping off coffee throughout my breakfast. I didn't get the first, and my cup sat empty until I was about 4 bites from being done, when I was asked if I wanted more coffee. read more

I knew I was in trouble when the wait person asked what kind of salad dressing I wanted - I replied "Greek", but my best option turned out to be oil and vinegar. This could have been the least "Greek" salad that I've ever had. At best it was pile of mixed spring greens with a few anemic slices of tomato, red onion, a few sliced Kalamata, a minimal amount of feta, and no pepperoncini. Based solely upon my salad, I would not return for another meal. Their homemade chips did look interesting and I might gamble on a cheesburger if I happen to be the neighborhood again at lunchtime. read more

There are a few tables to eat outside and the restaurant is always clean. The menu has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch. I like to eat there twice or three times a month and my favorite is the veggie quiche which is always done to perfection.
