What a cozy breakfast spot! I went here with my parents on a Monday morning, and the staff were so welcoming and responsive. They even offered to take a photo of us and our meals. The interior is so bright and summery. I love all the colors and the decor. The food came out relatively quickly, and everything tasted amazing! This quiet little place has amazing food! Very good service and prices were pretty good too. I had the count of Monte Christo. A honey ham, turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich made with French toast bread. It was very good. A side of grits to go with it. I tried to get a soda water with it, but they don't have carbonated water, so I ended up just getting a water. I can see this becoming a regular stop for whenever I'm in the neighborhood. read more

We both ordered omelettes & neither were anything special. Mine ( Greek) was overcooked but they did replace w/ a less cooked one. Cheese grits were merely grits w/ cheese sprinkled on top Our son had Waffle, bacon & OJ, he had no complaints. Server was attentive & friendly. I needed breakfast 10:30 on Sunday. The Breakfast Cottage was very busy so I wondered if I'd get a seat. I got one facing the bathroom. So much for ambience, watching folks hurriedly enter and then exit zipping pants. I ordered the Monte Cristo and an unsweetened ice tea. Both arrived super quickly. The Monte Cristo was tasty! Very delicious and home cooked food. We had breakfast and it was very good, including the potatoes, grits, corned beef hash, omelette, and monte Cristo sandwich. Prices were average for breakfast. Service was good. The place has limited seating so we waited around 15 minutes for inside seating at 10:30am on a Sunday. They do have more tables outside on the deck under a huge tree. read more

Wonderful little place. Inside is so cute. I got the best omelet ever! Was so surprised. Roasted veggies, which included eggplant, carrots, squash, green beans, peppers and cheese. My favorite place to go for breakfest whether it's with friends for family! Feels like your back in grandmas house and the staff is just as kind. I have never had a bad breakfast here. I have been coming here for at least 5 years , I love the coffee, eggs, meats and grits . The staff is great, ambience is fine ( not my style) but fine. My wife likes silver dollar pancakes and they're always happy to make them for her. The restaurant is very clean as are the bathrooms. On crazy busy mornings you may have to wait a little longer, but NOT the "25 minutes" as posted by another reviewer. I recently stopped into this spot for brunch with my son. It's a small restaurant inside of a renovated house. The staff was very friendly and the place was about half occupancy when I stopped around noon. The food was prepared quickly and was extremely tasty. My family and I went here at like an hour and 15 mins (I didn't check the time) before close on a Sunday so it wasn't too busy, there was about 4-5 other parties there. The place is kinda small, but cozy and the bathroom was nice and clean. However, our server just randomly left mid order without saying anything? I understood she had to grab something after she got back, but could have at least finished my brother's order or say something. She only came back like twice, once for a refill for my dad's coffee and at the end when it was too late to say anything about my food. My food was the stuffed French toast with the fruit compote, I didn't even eat a quarter of it because of how seedy it was and thought there was gonna be more of the cheese. (I've never eaten fruit compote and wanted to try it). She left it on our bill after it was sent back and just kept trying to do her closing side work while ignoring us. I understand wanting to go home, but as someone who works in the restaurant industry I usually end up staying 30 minutes past my scheduled time anyway to do side work. The rest of my family had mediocre food (mostly pancakes), crispy on the edge and a bit undercooked in the middle. Overall, the taste wasn't terrible for my family, but the textures and service were off. Might try again in the future, but at an earlier time. read more

Haven't been to this breakfast spot in a while. There are so many breakfast spots in our area and most of them are pretty good. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience here. My wife's egg on her avocado toast was stone cold. Our waitress never came back to check on our food and we waited a half hour for our food, so she was to hungry to wait. When the waitress finally came , she offered to bring a new egg but it was too late. My Reuben was good but nothing special. Our waitress just seemed like she didn't want to be there. They are put on a 5% service charge for using a credit card. Cute as ever inside and out however we won't be returning! read more

Was this nestled on the beach in a trendy shopping area? No. Was it secluded along a shaded bike path? No. Was it a gem that sparkled and shined at every moment? Yes. I choose this because of the pictures posted online. When I arrived I was welcomed by "friendly" and accommodated by hearing me. I ordered a latte and was advised to get the pumpkin spice cold brewed one. What came was just that, with a mound of mouse on top. This was delicious. I did not drink it all as sweet thinks in coffee are not my thing. Vegetarian alert! I had the vegetable eggs Benedict with very crispy potatoes.
