Every time we're in town, we make sure to stop by The Village Café! it's truly one of our favorite places! The cappuccinos that are new to the menu are so good and topped with cinnamon!! So yummy!! The omelettes are amazing (so fluffy and flavorful!) and the biscuits are sooo good!!!! Seriously, don't skip them! What makes this place even better is the atmosphere. It's so family-friendly and welcoming, you can feel the care that goes into everything. The owners are always there, super kind and down to earth, and they make it a point to stop by every table just to chat and make sure everyone's happy. It's the kind of genuine hospitality you don't find often anymore. If you're in Siesta Key, do yourself a favor and grab breakfast here, you'll love it as much as we do!

The staff were very sweet, however the food was very subpar. We had a table of six and almost every person at our table were either completely missing their meal or some parts of their meal were messed up (ordered bacon crisp, received very flappy bacon). Our server did not check up on us after we received our food to see how it was going either. The food we did receive was awesome though! Overall, I got a meal, but I don't know if I would come back.

My lady and I went to this place for the first time today October 26th and we stopped in to get something cool to drink thinking it was more than a restaurant but okay it wasn't it was more of a restaurant. But the waitress that came to us she did ask my lady would u like anything and if she wanted anything to drink this is all while we both had menus and when my lady said we're going to look over the menu the waitress walked away not at one point in time engaging to me whether or not I would like something to drink or whether I wanted to order anything so we did leave I don't know if that's a regular practice we are an interracial couple so that might have been her own personal preference to just serve my lady and not me but we definitely will not go back there just because of the one waitress that ignored my existence sitting at the table can't tell you about the food I can only tell you about the service we got from that lady and that was our service so we decided to leave after she asked my lady what she wanted and when my lady said we're going to look at the menu and then she walked off did not make any kind of verbal or eye contact with me I may be black but the money is still green by the way treat yourself you deserve it we tried so it's our first time being there I cannot give this any stars just because of that interaction

Great breakfast spot in Siesta Key! We were able to get a table without waiting. My mom got the biscuits and gravy. They were very good but my meal was way better! I got the onion and bacon Egg Stravaganaza and it hit the spot! The dish consists of steaming potatoes in a skillet, cheese, and is topped with 2 eggs. It was so amazing; I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Your typical breakfast cafe. Outdoor seating. The food was okay. Nothing too special here!!

I live on Siesta Key and tend to get in a rut when eating at the same restaurant. If I like something I tend to order the same thing over and over. I decided in 2025 I was going to eat everything on the village cafés menu and write a review. This is my first review. Tuna, fish sandwich on whole wheat, toasted bread The whole wheat bread was toasted perfectly and had a little bit of a sweetness to it. The tuna fish was a perfect consistency. I would have put onions in it if I was making it at home. However, then I might've missed a smooth creaminess and texture of the tuna fish itself. The sandwich comes with tomatoes and lettuce and dill pickle. The tomato slices were ripe, juicy and fresh. Likewise with the lettuce. The dill pickle was a surprise. It was long the right amount of tartness and sourness and very fresh overall, on a scale of one to 10 I'd give this a 9.5 only because I would've liked a little onion. One last thing the service was outstanding.

Really solid place for breakfast or lunch. We stopped by for lunch, sat on the terrace and loved our meal. The Chicken Salad Sandwich was excellent as was the Club Sandwich. Service is friendly and efficient. Can't beat it! VERY HIHGLY RECOMMENDED

My husband and I made it out of bed this morning to give Village Cafe a try. The Cinnamon Apple Stuffed French toast was delicious. The apples were fresh and sliced thin and they still had a crunch to them (which I prefer). My husband ate his food fast with no complaints as well! We were greeted as we entered the restaurant by a staff member who already had menus picked out, ready to seat us. We were given the option to sit inside or outside. We chose to sit outside and were taken to the back patio, which we had completely to ourselves the whole breakfast. The staff were very personable and friendly. I would love to go back and try one of the omelettes next time!

Really great neighborhood breakfast spot! Extensive menu and excellent service that kept the drinks and kitchen updates coming. Big portions and great reviews from everyone at the table. My stuffed French toast was a little unique; the French toast was really good but the apple and cream cheese inside the toast came out a little sour in flavor. Next time, I'll go for a more traditional sweet breakfast dish or take on the savory side of the menu. The perfect spot to start your day in Siesta Key Village with service to match. Would definitely return.

We love to support small businesses wherever we go! We came here for the second time for breakfast! Very good and relaxing. The service was wonderful along with the food! Inside and outside sitting!

Already ate one slice of bacon!

The salmon dish is truly delectable and I love the accompaniments of an arugula salad and the gigantes (large runner beans). When faced with the decision for dessert, our server suggested the crepes that are on the. Brunch menu (as we were there on a Sunday). We all basically got various versions of chicken souvlaki. I got the horiatiki salad with souvlaki chicken. It was very flavorful and I loved all the veggies and olives plus delicious feta. My SIL and husband had the two versions of the souvlaki platter which they enjoyed. The chicken was very tender. My SIL didn't really care for the fries. My husband didn't like the vegetables being on top of the Greek potatoes that weren't very good. The primary issue was the woman who waited on us. We were seated a few minutes after we arrived. Unfortunately, we were not given menus which was frustrating and instead of the woman owning it herself, she blamed it on the new guy. We ordered and it took a while to get our food and the restaurant wasn't that busy. The woman kept complaining about various things and I assume most people could hear. Not really the vibe you want when trying to enjoy a meal with family you don't get to see very often. It also took a while to get the check and to go boxes. Everyone has a bad day and the holidays are stressful times. I hope it was just a one off.

It's clean and cozy atmosphere. My friend and I were there a little before the lunch crowd so we had the place to ourselves. The server was cheerful and prompt. We ordered the chicken lemon rice soup, hummus and pita appetizer, chicken tawook, and I have the salmon in olive oil and lemon. The presentation was good but all the dishes were slightly on the bland side. I enjoyed the food and I like supporting mom and pop restaurants. I wish it was more flavorful but I'm glad I gave this restaurant a try. Perhaps I came on an off day but I hope the locals continue to keep this place going. When we walked in, we immediately noticed it was unusually warm it was. We were seated in a corner and given menus by the manager. I inquired if their AC was out. He told me it was not, and that the unuausal heat was due to the temporary removal of their awning over the door, which was letting miore light (and heat in ) than normal, and that it would start getting cooler very soon. I had my doubts about this claim, as the sun was aready fairly low on the horizon, but we decided to stick it out. However, as time ticked by, and the kitchen became more and more active, the hotter it became. Eventually, the heat became so uncomfortable (I wold guess abut 80 degrees), that we decided to pack up our meals and leave. Outside it was refreshingly cooler. But onto the food and service. We ordered the dolmades as an appetizer. They were small, bland, and were otherwise nothing to write home about. We also decided to split the Greek Salad. It was excellent! My wife ordered the chicken. She said it was very tasty. I ordered the lamb chops. However, when our food arrived, I was served some pork skewers. instead. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he apologized, and departed with the pork skewers. It appears that the waiter simply screwed up the order, because when it eventually did arrive (15-20 miutes later), my wife had already eaten most of her food. I wolfed down 3 of the lamb chops (which were quite good), had the remainder of our food packed up (because of the heat), and departed. Food-wise, it was an oveall solid B. Service was a C-. Most notable about the occasion, however, was the horrible heat. We were seated in a corner, which was the fartherst away from any of the fans and AC vents. However, that (in my opinion) doesn't come close to explaining the magnitude of the problem. Three possibilities exist in my book: (1) the manager was lying about the AC being operational; (2) the manager/owner had increased the thermostat to reduce his electrical expenses; and/or (3) the AC compressor was out and/or the coolant was gone. In order to truly enjoy any meal, the temperature must be a comfortable one. Our experience was the antithesis of comfortable, and so while the food was generally good, it was not so outstanding as to merit our returning again and risking the possibility of yet another insufferably "hot" experience. Time to cool my jets.
