First time customer and it was busy on a Sunday morning, but we were quickly seated. There are tables and booths and an open concept kitchen. The menu is very extensive and it's so nice they serve breakfast and lunch. We waited a bit for service, but it gave us time to look over the menu. I settled on a club sandwich with coleslaw. Different than most clubs in that it was served in two pieces, not four, had only turkey but no cheese. The bread was toasted a bit too much as it kept falling apart when I was eating. The coleslaw was super chunky so not really something I enjoyed. The sandwich was tasty, but should really just be a Turkey sandwich. I got the Signature Roasted Salad, and it was missing the pears that was in the description. I ordered it because of the pears. Had I been told that they were out of pears I would not have ordered it. Once I discovered that the pears were missing I asked for more dates and pine nuts, and that made it better. The goat cheese was just one big blob of cheese, and it would have been much better had it been crumbles. I asked for the dressing to be on the side, and it's a good thing that I did. I was there with a group of ladies and all of the other ladies that got the same salad didn't get the dressing on the side and they wish they had. Yesterday my wife and I stopped at Eggsperience on Route 70 near Caruso for breakfast. Great breakfast and service. Everything was going just fine until I was handed the credit card device. The waitress had pre-selected the tip amount. She had selected 20% for me. Knowing that I would have selected 20% anyways doesn't diminish the fact she tipped herself my money. Plenty of seating space for groups. Prices are reasonable. Dishes are well portioned. I had a skillet and it was delicious. My only recommendation to the chef would be to cut the bigger chunks of potatoes, so they all cook evenly throughout. In fact, same suggestion for the onions for some were too big in comparison to the other skillet ingredients. Open kitchen allows you to watch your food being cooked if you sit at the counter. This is a new place, open for just over a month when we stopped in. They did very well. We were met when we walked in and directed to a table where we looked over their menu. I spotted their Breakfast Platter, one of those 2 of everything dishes with 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausage links, and a slice of ham so large it could easily be cut into 2 pieces. After confirming with our server the Breakfast Platter was a popular choice, it was also my choice. Too much food? We'll see. As we waited I looked around at the wall hanging of what could be local artist work of sea life and seascapes. Nice theme. When the food arrived I noticed the pancakes were a little thick. The food was very tasty. I ordered the pancake tacos, which were on the daily specials menu. It was essentially pancakes in taco holders with eggs and bacon as the filling. My boyfriend ordered the steak benedict. No crumb was left behind. Our server was Elizabeth, and she went above and beyond for us. She created an iced coffee off menu & it was delicious. Since she's a former barista, the restaurant should totally hire her to upgrade their drinks menu! I think it'd be a hit. The restaurant was packed, which was a great sign for us as first time patrons. It had a classic breakfast feel to it. It was a 20 minute drive from our home but totally worth it. Could not believe they charged me $1.50 to substitute avocado instead of the Ham that comes with the eggs Benedict. I said my wife and I are non meat eaters...can they do avocado instead. They said sure...never a mention of an up charge. That's the way to lose a lifetime eggs Benedict w/avocado custome for life. I have never in my life been charged extra substituting avocado for Ham. This may be my new default breakfast that I go to every Saturday. The coffee was excellent. Very bold. And here is an odd compliment... But the oatmeal was fantastic! I visited Eggsperience today and left feeling quite let down. This was my third time there this week, eagerly hoping to see my favorite waitress and manager, Danni. I've heard she would be returning, but I still haven't spotted her. Other customers were asking about her too; one waitress mentioned she was in the hospital, while another said she hadn't returned since the storm. The restaurant just doesn't feel the same without her. Danni brings such a vibrant energy with her laughter and genuine conversations with patrons. Everyone, including my husband and me, appreciates her warmth. I overheard a couple at the next table say they come in every Sunday and that Danni always makes sure they're well taken care of. It's been two Sundays without her, and they noticed the difference too. Today, our dining experience was far from satisfactory. I ordered the Mexican omelette, which was disappointing, and the grits were not up to their usual standard. My husband's avocado toast was equally terrible. When we mentioned our concerns to the waitress, she promised to return, but we only saw her again when she brought the check. We decided to let it go, but it was frustrating that she didn't offer to remove the uneaten food from our bill, despite being aware of the issues. We paid and left feeling dissatisfied. The service was lacking, the food was below par, and I'm certain that if Danni had been there, she would have ensured we received replacement dishes. We really hope to see her back soon, or we may have to reconsider returning and let others know about our experience. I want to add that I never leave bad reviews for anyone I also left a Google review, but when we checked for it, it was not there. It's being filtered out, so what's your Google reviews? read more
