Chicken fried Steak with gravy on the side, eggs over easy and hash browns.
    Karla P.

Nice little diner style restaurant. Sit yourself once in, welcoming staff. I had the chicken fried steak with gravy on the side, hash browns and over easy eggs. I always get my gravy on the side, due to all gravies are not the best , this gravy was a smack your momma gravy. I kept a star back, which should be a half due to getting hash browns instead of the grits I ordered but with that said, all in all a good choice. Price fantastic

Stopped in for a quick bite. It's was noon and the place was empty. Was seated right away by a pleasant young lady that informed me it was her first day in the job. Ordered breakfast that came quickly. Two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Everything was good but I wish the hash browns had been crispier. Eggs were cooked perfectly and everything was tasty. Nice place to stop for breakfast. Total bill with tip $25

We ate at Crager's on January 1 because many other restaurants were closed due to the holiday. We had a few hours to kill before flying out of the Sarasota airport and this facility was about five minutes drive away. The diner serves breakfast all day long so hubby and I decided to take advantage of that. We were cheerfully greeted with a smile and "happy new year!" as soon as we walked into the restaurant. Tracy brought menus and a welcoming smile to our table. I ordered grilled shrimp and grits with creole sauce on the side and it was delicious! I wasn't sure about the sauce but I'm so happy that Tracy encouraged me to try it. The homemade biscuit was piping hot and tasty, too. My husband enjoyed his over easy eggs which he said were cooked perfectly plus bacon, pancakes, and homefries. He also reported the coffee was tasty and hot as it should be. We highly recommend this friendly restaurant and know you would be hard pressed to find a better deal at $12 per meal!

I really enjoyed this little diner and it was right across from the hotel. I think they only stay open till 2 PM so I would definitely check the hours before you head over. When you walk in, they have the specials on the board to your right. They have a really, big and diverse menu. The meat lovers omelette I had was fantastic with a side of hashbrowns. I'm not sure the name of the omelette, but it was kind of like the three meat omelette Our waitress was great and she was taking care of the entire restaurant and there wasn't a lag in service at all. If you're looking for food at a very reasonable price, I would definitely check this place out. They also do serve alcohol in case you want mimosas with breakfast

Delicious food and great service!! We drove from Ellenton and it was definitely worth the drive. We will be back!

We have been trying a different restaurant for breakfast everyday and after reading the reviews and browsing through some of the pictures I thought this is a good place to try out. It was a Sunday morning around 10:30 and there was 1 other patron in this diner. I scanned the specials board on the way in and nothing really special on the board. So a lot of the pictures on the site showed a lot more than the menu offered but that could've been specials in the past. So there really was nothing on the menu that was pleasing my interest. So I ended up with chicken and waffle which is a couple of chicken tenders and a waffle, and we also ordered the healthy omelette and an order of crepes with Nutella. It was a okay breakfast but the crepes was 3 very small crepes and should've been a side order at best. Our waitress was very pleasant and very pregnant but she was very attentive and I enjoyed the service she provided.

Amazing food and service. It's a small and quaint diner. I had the best country fried steak that I've ever eaten. It was huge and so tender. The gravy is fantastic. Definitely recommend.

A nice diner with good food and great service. I thought the prices were a little high. It was clean. They serve breakfast and lunch. If you are in town swing by and check it out.

Warm and inviting dining rooms ( three). Big menu, and all our choices provided us with exceptional food: the three dip special ( we had hummus, eggplant and torokafteri) with yummy pita; the chicken lemon soup was excellent; my spanakopita was light, crispy and fantastic, as was the accompanying side of Greek salad which had a delicious dressing. My husband ordered the seafood platter, and everything was well prepared, tasty and also light. We ordered some wine, an imiglykos, which was sweet and good. The table next to us ordered beer salad, lamb shank, and gyro platters which all looked mouth watering. Djonisi was an excellent server, very personable. The customers at the next table told us they were present when the restaurant opened two years ago, and that they moved out of the area, but to give this restaurant our business. This is definitely going to be our go to Greek restaurant from now on, and it should be yours too. (Also, ladies room had two large and very clean stalls).

I was seated facing a wall so I didn't get a good long look at my surroundings but between what I did see and looking at photos posted on Yelp the theme seems to be chickens. Our server was friendly and available to answer any questions as we spent time looking over the menu. I settled on The Hitman, a double patty smashed burger with American cheese, hen sauce, fried mozzarella, Nueske's bacon, with a side of garlic parm fries. It isn't listed on the online menu but there is a note the menu changes frequently so it may not match the day's offering. Let me start by saying that two of the people at my table got salads and were disappointed that there was too much lettuce and too little other stuff. With that out of the way, let me talk about The Hitman, which I loved. What is Nueske bacon? This is a special smoked flavorful bacon made by the Nueske family. Fork & Hen uses thick cut, and there were two slices on my burger. My burger towered so high there was no hope of picking it up, so I attacked it with knife and fork. Being made with Focaccia bread certainly added to the height, but so did a thick block of mozzzrella cheese. The cheese, melted on the inside and crispy on the outside, was substantial. I would be careful biting into a hot block of melted cheese, think pizza mouth. In my photo I broke into one corner to show that is cheese, so much cheese. The burger patty part topped with American cheese was by itself great, like you might find at a home cookout or Smashburgers. Other toppings were there but for me this was meat and a lot of cheese. And as much bread as you want. I loved my surprising good cheeseburger.

We all basically got various versions of chicken souvlaki. I got the horiatiki salad with souvlaki chicken. It was very flavorful and I loved all the veggies and olives plus delicious feta. My SIL and husband had the two versions of the souvlaki platter which they enjoyed. The chicken was very tender. My SIL didn't really care for the fries. My husband didn't like the vegetables being on top of the Greek potatoes that weren't very good. The primary issue was the woman who waited on us. We were seated a few minutes after we arrived. Unfortunately, we were not given menus which was frustrating and instead of the woman owning it herself, she blamed it on the new guy. We ordered and it took a while to get our food and the restaurant wasn't that busy. The woman kept complaining about various things and I assume most people could hear. Not really the vibe you want when trying to enjoy a meal with family you don't get to see very often. It also took a while to get the check and to go boxes. Everyone has a bad day and the holidays are stressful times. I hope it was just a one off.
