Looking for hot coffee, standard breakfast staples in a clean local spot with friendly service, then this is a gem. Look at the specials board for extra menu ideas. Looking for a quick, convenient lunch spot i stopped in Robin's. It has a busy, busy lunch period, but I snagged a table and was waited on quickly. The food took a good bit of time, but everyone was hustling. My cuban was just OK. It was kind of thin and had little substance. The fries were very bland. Lots of salt and ketchup didn't help much. I only had a few and left the rest, which is unusual for me. Pricing was OK. I'd check out the many other options nearby. read more

We love this little breakfast and lunch spot in downtown Bradenton. The staff are super friendly, and they always have yummy specials available. My husband, on this visit, ordered his usual favorite: banana pancakes. There was light fluffy, and tasty as always. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on toasted wheat, with a side of potato salad. Their potato salad has a mustard and mayo dressing, and is delicious! The chicken salad was good--but lacked a bit of seasoning. In the past, I have gotten their burger, which I think I would order again as I really loved the burger. On my next visit, I plan to arrive at breakfast time, and I will try the oatmeal for breakfast, along with a side of their homemade corn beef hash. Maybe I will even treat myself to a grilled homemade cinnamon roll! Keep in mind that this is a breakfast and lunch place only. They close at 2 PM. read more

Thr Saturday farmers market makes it a busy time in Bradenton, but we found an empty table outside to enjoy a meal. Our server quickly took our order and brought our drink. I was happy I could order lunch and my husband could get breakfast. We waited a long time for our food and the server finally told us the kitchen was backed up. When my food arrived, it was nice and hot and looked great. I thought it was going to be deli meat, but it was a real chicken sandwich and it was very good. The fries were nothing special, but they were nice and hot. Our server never came to check on us or offer a drink refill. Decent place, worth a shot. read more

I had the eggs Benedict & cinnamon roll. Everything was super tasty. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy - not the most visually appealing but delicious nonetheless. There was only one server in a full restaurant, which led to longer waiting times, so maybe come in earlier to beat the lunch crowd. Would come again! read more

Came with a friend for an early lunch a few weeks ago and we had a great experience. Lots of great options to choose from, both from the menu and from the daily specials. I opted for a special witch was a Buffalo chicken sandwich was spot on. My friend also added a grilled cinnamon roll to her order and that was to die for! Can't ask for anything more from a little breakfast/ brunch spot read more

Great food, amazing service friendly people. I just wish they were open longer. I also like the fact that it's a old-fashioned kind of diner, but they have a great menu with tons of stuff on it and all of it. It's good. I personally like the cold pot roast sandwich. read more

Good breakfast spot. Clean, prompt service and atmosphere. Recommended for a good basic start to your day

I hate to say it but I truly feel like I would have been better off going thru a drive thru. I got a side of hash browns, bagel with cream cheese, the spinach quiche and a side of biscuits and gravy. Hash browns were undercooked and tasteless. Spinach quiche left a lot to be desired. The sausage gravy was fine but the biscuits were not of any decent quality. The bagel was good, soft and served warm and the cream cheese was actually real and not the fake stuff. All in all I am decently full but could feel this way off $3 fries from McDonalds and had extra money in my pocket. Unfortunately I wouldn't give this place a second try. read more

Robin's is a neighborhood gem that serves breakfast and lunch. Delicious daily specials ... all homemade. Try the veggie quiche that's served with fresh fruit or a traditional breakfast plate; pancakes and sandwiches. Seating fills up fast but worth the wait. Everyone is very friendly and cares that you receive a great meal. On street parking is limited but only a short walk from one of the lots nearby. read more

Its a diner style restaurant. Food was okay. Fried cinnamon roll was good. It was very crowded because of the Farmer's Market but waitresses did their best. read more

Lovely service. Wet musty smell, stronger toward the back--water damage? The greats: cinnamon roll, grilled. Hashbrowns actually extra crispy. The prices! Loved you could su. Some juicy, ripe tomato instead of toast. The can't go wrong: coffee, toast, eggs. The skip it: woof, the corn beef hash. I am used to housemate being chunky chipped beef and potatoes. This was prob from can, blended so fine with the potatoes it was finer than the stuff you get from the grocery and lost flavor. We hate to waste food but it didn't sit great in my stomach after, either. read more

The prices are reasonable. The spinach, tomato, feta quiche is my favorite. The service is good. We come here often.

This was the third time dining here in a span of about six weeks. Very consistent all around. Servers have been attentive and friendly. Food good and inexpensive. Great to sit outside on a tree lined street. read more

Made a last minute decision to stop here for breakfast on our way out of town and boy, did we do well. We each had egg dishes-- Robin's special (scrambled egg with spinach, mushrooms & cheese) and a veggie omelette adding ham. The veggie omelette came out square. It was like they had wrapped all of the deliciousness inside and gift wrapped it. The egg was thin and delicate and I don't know what cheese they use, but it made everything inside creamy and delicious-- almost like an egg wrapped casserole. Soooo good. We both got the hash brown casserole as a side and you could tell it was homemade, in the best possible way. The coffee was good and served in heavy, old school diner mugs. We also ordered a griddled cinnamon roll to go, so excited to try that later today. All in all, Robin's Downtown Cafe was a lovely and delicious stop. read more

I stopped in here for a light breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. A small..quaint place with very friendly service. The kind of place people actually speak to each other. Great English muffins..not the puny skinny ones you usually get. They have beer and wine as well so a mimosa was in order. I'd definitely be back when in the area read more

i come in and sit down cause the sign says so. waitress takes my order after i say i want to-go. then she says "ill need you to sit *out there* because we're getting busy" ... doesn't say how long the wait is, just clearly treats me like a takeout order means i should be out in the florida humid sun.... do they put their menu online so people can order without coming in and sitting down at a table and time their arrival for when food is ready? No! Do they put their menus at the front cashier desk so i can read it and order without ever sitting down? NO! they just treat me like i'm a waste of space cause they ASSUME a tip won't come of it. I'll update this if the food is worth it... If management frowns reading this, know that's the only facial expression i got from the one older lady with SHORT hair that is bleach blonde ends and black roots. read more

Great location on Old Main St I stopped in at Robin's shortly after they opened on this Wednesday, the place already more than half full with customers. Even still, I had coffee in just a couple of minutes. Great start. I took a look at the menu and decided on their homemade corn beef hash & eggs. This is often my go-to dish when eating out for breakfast. It took about 15 minutes, a little slow for breakfast, but I thought it was because I came in right behind a lot of customers that arrived just after they opened. That may not have been the entire reason, I timed another couple as I was finishing up and their food still took over 10 minutes. I was not too impressed with the hash, mainly because it lacked the flavor of corned beef. I wish they would up the ratio of corned beef and maybe instead of grinding this down to such a fine consistency, include some noticeable pieces of corned beef. I liked the place, and service was very good. The location is also great, right in the heart of Bradenton at Old Main St. read more

Great location for a hearty breakfast! It's in the same street as the Bradenton Farmers Market so it's convenient if you want to grab a bite then walk around and support the local markets. The wife got french toast and strawberries with bacon and scrambled eggs. I had country fried chicken with hash brown and toast. It was a decent meal, we had no complaints with the food but the condiments on the table were a little sticky. The casual setting is nothing to rave about and the service was on par. It's a great place for a quick breakfast. read more

Nice place! I want to make it clear for anyone who visits: the cook is a wizard when it comes to omelettes. Be sure to order one.

We did take out for lunch. I had the Philly Cheesesteak. It was delicious and just the right portion. The person who took our order was very nice and knowledgeable. It reminded me of an old diner. They had original art hanging all over the restaurant. You could even purchase some pieces. read more

Lovely brunch stop along the Bradenton farmers' market! Super friendly staff and excellent food!! Try the BLT or the hashbrown casserole!

Was in town for a baseball tourney and was hoping to find a cute place for breakfast. Unfortunately this place was just ok. The hash brown casserole as I had read was yummy , my bacon had a strange taste- not sure how you mess up bacon and the place needed a little TLC. The staff was pleasant although I had to get up and help myself to utensils for my table after waiting quite awhile for someone and just gave up . Place has potential as it is located on a cute strip of stores and restaurants. read more

The people are very friendly in there! Other than that, MEH. Typical lame downtown Bradenton style. To be charged $14 for a sandwich and fries seems to be high, when you could order Jimmy John's sandwich and chips for $9 ‍ read more

Hopped in on the morning of the Riverwalk Regatta. Easily seated and quickly served coffee, order taken etc. The menu has some millennial stuff, but also standard (and good) diner breakfast fare! I had and outstanding three cheese omelet with bacon. This was a nice find for 2 hungry travelers! Ordered the Reuben on rye with fries and it was scrumptious!! Good portions, freshly made, and the fries were great! Also ordered Roast beef on rye with chips and pickle. It was so delicious as well! The fries were so many we split them and saved the chips for later. They have homemade cookies which we enjoyed too!! Cookies only 2/$1!!! The atmosphere was "hometown Mayberry" which I loved!! Clean establishment and a great waitress!! I went there mid November 2021 and considering inflation and cost of all goods are sky high, this place, Robins I thought was terrific value. I got the traditional breakfast with Scrambled Eggs,Bacon, Fruit and Coffee for mid $6. I think it is well worth it, and service was spot on too. read more

I'm a diner girl. Gotta have breakfast and I love a brown diner coffee cup in my hand. This place doesn't have brown diner cups, they have big mugs. And no booths just wooden tables. But otherwise this is the PERFECT diner. Waitresses who seem to know all of the locals, breakfast all day (they close at 1:00). I had cinnamon raisin French toast with eggs and link sausage. Big fat link sausage, not pinkie sausage like Denny's. All cooked and flavored perfectly. Served hot. Diner Heaven. read more

Found this place when we went to visit the Bradenton Farmer's Market. Delicious! Great hometown atmosphere! Definitely try their specials! We tried their Grilled Hashbrown Casserole and Blueberry Smothered Banana Pancakes. Both were amazing!! Imagine a cheesy hashbrown casserole, scoop some out and slapped on a hot griddle... YUMMMMMMM... it was a toasty, cheesy, delicious potato pancake. And the banana pancakes were so GREAT too!! Big chunks of fresh bananas strewn throughout fluffy pancakes, with fresh blueberry compote all over it. I know this sounds fake but we were really impressed with our first visit here! I've been here a handful of times after church on Sunday's; we've always had the same server and she's always on top of everything, taking care of nearly all tables & never missing a beat. The food is as good as the service, I usually get the breakfast sandwich, egg, meat and cheese on a croissant, all cooked perfectly. The omelets are huge for egg lovers, and the wraps are done well (with good fries too). Though this isn't necessarily a hole in the wall or hidden gem, it is definitely underrated & is as good or better than places nearby, like sage biscuit and peach's. Smaller dining area, so it'd be a good idea to call ahead for parties over 4 read more
