We were looking for a new brunch spot and decided to try EggTown. Conveniently located right off the interstate with plenty of free parking, the restaurant is clean and modern. They also have a large shaded patio where dogs are welcome--in fact, they even offer a dog menu. For brunch, I had an omelette made just the way I like it: ham, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and spinach. The ingredients were cooked perfectly, and the eggs were just right. The omelette came with house potatoes and a freshly baked biscuit--delicious! Next time I visit, I'll have to find out who supplies their coffee because they brew a really good cup. However, there were three charges on my bill that I want to bring to your attention. I'm not saying they are necessarily wrong, as it's the restaurant's prerogative to set their prices, but these charges did bother me. The first was a $3 charge for maple syrup on my wife's pancakes. The second was a $3.95 fee for substituting fruit instead of potatoes. Lastly, there was a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. Altogether, these extra charges increased my bill by roughly 18% before tax and tip. I don't usually comment on pricing in my reviews, but this felt worth mentioning. read more

I was reading a review of one of yelp friends on Egg Town, and I was thinking I should branch out and try it. So this week I did. The Bradenton location was appealing because of their large covered outdoor patio. It was clean and inviting! Their wait staff was ready for us and took our orders right away. This makes your day when you can get your coffee and order quickly! Our food arrived after a short wait, and here's what I ordered. I had the Triple 222 which is eggs, meat, potatoes which is substitute for fruit, and pancakes or french toast. I chose pancakes! The eggs were clean and the bacon was crispy. So far I'm liking this. The fruit was fresh and a good assortment of blueberries, pineapple, and strawberries. Then there was the pancakes. They were fluffy and doughy. This was a generous portion of everything and all for $14.75! Here's a tip...if you want real maple syrup they do have an up charge of $3.00. Overall, this was a good experience for our first time. I look forward to heading to Egg Town again and trying another tasty dish! read more

What a great experience! I've been in twice for breakfast. We came in today and were quickly seated and waited on. Our server was on top of her game and took great care of us. Today, I order scrambled eggs, potatoes, wheat toast and link sausage. It came out in less than 2 minutes and was perfectly done. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. This little gem, hidden in the Walmart shopping center, never disappoints. The modern decor is nice and the song list playing through the speakers is great! This rating is based on delivery orders only. Ok so we have a few experiences to go on and results have been consistently very good. The menu is full of tasty traditional and some unique options - like my chicken salad on toasted raisin bread (see pic). You can also order fries "extra crispy" and they were, with a still creamy inside. The grilled chicken sandwich was fresh and delicious, as was the excellent salad it came with. Place is not visible from the road, and since I just never enter that shopping center, I hadn't tried it before. Fortunately, Yelp helped change the error of my ways. ;) I arrived about 5-10 minutes after opening and the place was not busy at all. Really nice decor set the mood, and the menu looked great. I tried the spicy Chorizo skillet, which had a very nice portion and sliced jalapeños tossed in to really help push it over the top. The server asked me if I was Ok with the scrambled eggs and I said yes, but in retrospect, I think it would have been better with over easy on top. It came with a fresh biscuit that was very tasty and didn't make you feel like it had been sitting in a basket for an hour. The service was great. Not rushed at all. As I left, the place was rapidly filling up. Will definitely be back. In the meantime, I ordered food delivery from there a few days later. I absolutely love the grilled chicken salad from here. It's not some girly salad either; my husband (who is a big dude) also loves it and feels satisfied/full after eating it. I have never been disappointed by this salad, whether eating it there or ordering it to go. I do enjoy eating there once in a while, but I honestly prefer ordering to go. Sometimes the wait is very, very long, but that's a testament to how delicious the food is. There are also great meal options for my kids; their favorite is the grilled cheese. Our first time here, and we were delighted. Took our car in for service and decided to breakfast; something we don't do often enough. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with smiles and hot coffee. The menu is quite extensive, it took us about 7 min. to decide on our entrees. Both were served promptly and hot. I asked for add'l sour cream; absolutely no problem. Our server was attentive w/o being over-bearing. The entrees were HUGE for the price, and the potatoes were delicious w/o being over-fried. Restrooms were very clean. Ample free (lot) parking. We're aware this location has gone through several franchises since we moved to LWR five years ago. Hope this place makes it. We had to see what the hype was, for this new breakfast and lunch restaurant. It's a beautiful addition to Lakewood Ranch/Bradenton, just East of 75 and 70, next to Wal-Mart. The restaurant was completely gutted and transformed into a lovely, modern breakfast/ brunch place; with an amazing menu and friendly efficient servers. Immediately, we were greeted and brought to a table, as well as drink order taken. The menu was extensive with usual and also unusual unique selections. We both chose the 222 breakfast ( 2 eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage or turkey sausage and 2 pancakes. My husband chose the plain pancakes and I upgraded for $3 for the pumpkin pancakes ( bananas, pecans, caramel and whip cream) I held the caramel and whip cream. Food came out perfect in fast timing. It was lovely, hot and delicious! The staff kept walking around filling coffee cups as well as my lovely server, Jessica. She even gave me another water, without me asking!! Went here for breakfast. Service is over the top. Menu is extensive. Could be a lot smaller. We ordered a veggie omelette it came out hot as well as the home fries. Also did the 222 the eggs were cool as ordered. The bacon had an aftertaste of smoke. Didn't care for that. The pancakes were unnecessarily large and undercooked. They could be a lot smaller and they would've been cooked through them. Will probably wait awhile before going back and let them work out the issues. read more
