After two tries, I'm done with this place. I won't get into the issues I had during my first visit but received a coupon for my next visit. I ordered an omelet, grits, and one pancake. The omelet was perfect but the pancake was tasteless. I had the same issue with the butter....don't know if it's old or partially frozen but it had lumps of discoloration. The grits looked like cream of wheat and were not very good. Almost like the instant ones. As I looked around the table and chairs, they could use a deep cleaning.
This morning we went down to Main Street to have brunch at Station 400! Bill made his own omelette while I tried their bacon salted caramel pancakes! . Their menu is a combination of regular fare for those who don't venture off the normal path and some different options for those ready to try food a little outside the normal box!The coffee was good and hot! The service was attentive and bubbly! The food was served quickly and was hot and delish!! it's clean and still unique with the rain decor and the train that runs around the top which is loved by children and adults! We love having this location close to us!!
We came to Station 400 for brunch while we were in town as it was recommended as a good local flavor by those who we visited. I will say it did not disappoint. The ambiance itself had a bit of cozy diner vibe in a small town to it. The service was on par for the area. As with a lot of places in the area, their hours of operation are mornings to afternoons. Apparently, they do not do dinner, which as a New Yorker seems strange but who am I to argue against what is customary there. The food definitely stands out for the area. I had the fried chicken sandwich and sampled some buttermilk pancakes. Both were very tasty and filling. I would definitely recommend coming in for breakfast/brunch. It is a quality experience.

While visiting a good friend we decided to check out his favorite breakfast spot Oh yes indeed lol It is delicious and the ambiance is so cool. Station 400 has a train theme complete with a model train that runs along the inner roof They had a cute lil trick or treat bowl at the hostess stand as well The coffee tasted a bit watery but the food made of for the mediocre coffee I had lemon curd and blackberry pancakes they were hot fluffy and creamy all at once!! Our other dish was the huevos gringos which means white people eggs hahahaha but really they were very much the opposite lol They had a full tortilla and black beans with a seasoned chorizo chicken as well as avocado and salsa I absolutely loved the flavor and am glad we tried this spot!!
3.5 stars. We came for the train (for the kids) but we were rather disappointed by it. The track runs high up, around the center of the restaurant, above the booth area where we were sitting. The placement of the train track makes it hard for most people to see, regardless of where you're seated. Plus the train was only one black locomotive with two black cars. That's it. The restaurant itself is comfortable and bright, I just wish that the train theme was more prominent. Taste and presentation wise, food was good. I just wish that portions were a tad larger. The Crabby Patty had one nice big crab cake but just one poached egg - I was hoping for two. (And a single egg was not an option on the sides list). The fruit cup was tiny. My husband's Spanish omelette was tasty but the side of hash browns seemed a little stingy. They messed up our pancake order twice - in the end we just ate what we got, and it was fine, just not what I was expecting (and not quite as fluffy as pancakes I've had elsewhere). I got the house made blueberry jam, but found that it lacked flavor Bottomless coffee was wonderful, and the selection of mimosas was tempting (though we did not try any).

We ordered the Crabby Patty - which is a Lump Crabcake, Sauteed Spinach, Red Peppers, Spicy Aioli Sauce, and Topped with a Fried Egg, English Muffin. We also ordered a Southern Biscuit - Fresh Baked Buttermilk Biscuit, Eggs, Spicy Shredded Pork, Crispy Bacon, Chorizo Gravy, Chives. We could not resist enjoying an espresso chocolate muffin which was so incredible. I felt a bit guilty when I purchased another one to go. This place is just one of my favorites. Old standby for locals in Lakewood Ranch. Located next to Starbucks off Lakewood Ranch Main Street. I've been going here for years - excellent spot for business meetings. Food and service is outstanding and there are several off the beaten path menu items - interesting chef creations you'll enjoy, not solely the standard lunch and breakfast items. One of my regular lunch favorites: Orange & Honey Chicken Salad - Lightly chopped Spring Mix, Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes, Orange Slices, topped with Mango Chutney $11.00. Comes with homemade hot pita bread. Can't beat it!!! Two other must-try salads go with Grilled Sockeye Salmon Salad or Shrimp & Chopped Kale Caesar Salad. Check them out!
Our family really enjoyed our visit here today! First off, I love the patio - it's great we r for the kids to move around a bit while still enjoying a restaurant dining experience We ordered the Cobb salad with steak, shiitake burger with cucumber and tomato salad, kids pancakes and fruit, and lastly the kids turkey sandwich with fries. We all loved our food! The kids serving size were large which was a nice surprise! The salad was friend and delicious- steak perfectly cooked. The burger was also yummy with flavorful mushrooms and truffle aioli. The service here is friendly and attentive the ambiance is cool because this is an old Train depot they moved from Indiana- a neat piece of history! Totally recommend! read more
This spot may be a little off the beaten path, but it's absolutely worth the visit. If you're looking for a great brunch or breakfast spot. This restaurant delivers both delicious food and a charming experience. While you wait, you can stroll through the plaza and explore a mix of restaurants, boutiques, and home decor shops which according to my husband makes it more than just a meal but a full outing, because I like to make note of where I want to pop into post brunch LOL. It's quickly become of of my go to breakfast spots, especially for their creative pancake flavors. My latest order the salted caramel bacon pancake which was the perfect balance of sweet and savory - definitely one to come back for. read more

This is our favorite place for pancakes with the family. Come hungry! I love the salted caramel bacon pancakes. . Though they are all delicious. The staff is super friendly and great with the kids. We've been coming here for years. The only thing that's stopped is the train no longer runs around the restaurant. Typical diner vibe with booths and a couple tables. Be prepared to wait on weekends. It's a hot spot after church so plan accordingly. read more

We popped in for brunch about 30 minutes before they closed. Service was great and we were not rushed at all even though they were closing while we were finishing our meal. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the bacon salted caramel pancakes. They were very filling bit just OK. Another friend had the chicken sandwich which he liked that came with fries. Another guest had the turkey spinach wrap and fries and it too was just OK. Nice diner atmosphere but I was not overly impressed with the food. read more

If you want consistently good breakfast at a reasonable price, with excellent service: I recommend station 400. My kids go bonkers over the Nutella waffles! And the eggs Benedict was excellent. The kids sliders got my sons stamp of approval (which is rare!). We like the train that goes around the restaurant and that there is outdoor seating. My only complaint is that inside the restaurant it can get very loud, especially in the back room. My recommendation is to eat outside if the weather is nice. read more

We stumbled upon this little gem and were not disappointed. A very busy but efficient waitstaff was a good first impression. I ordered the Cuban which was very tasty - and I'm picky with my vote for Tampa area for the BEST. My hubby went the breakfast route and he was very happy. Thanks to a great server Ashley who runs a tight ship at the bar counter. My four star review is as good as a five b/c there is always room to grow better to be the best. read more

AMAZING. This was our first time here and the food exceeded our expectations and the prices are fair. Got seated outside pretty quickly and the food also came out quickly. Everything was crispy and perfectly cooked. Cuban was nice and hot all the way through. Sweet potato fries with a sweet sauce was perfect. Will definitely be back. read more

I was excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews and menu, but found it lacking in both flavor and personality. While the waitress was nice, she chose to spend all of her time with a couple who were definitely regulars. This was not a big deal, but would have been nice to not feel like an outsider. I have been to other sarasota restaurants with regulars and they all were much more welcoming. The food... eh.... I had the truffled eggs Benedict with hash browns and found them lacking I. Flavor. The hollandaise lacked flavor and richness. The Canadian bacon was paper thin, and therefore not very flavorful. I will most likely not return to Station 400. read more

Gave this a try as I had never been before. I had a station 400 omelette which was poached lobster, blue crab with a truffle hollandaise sauce, cheesy grits, & gluten free toast. My daughter had Brians lump crabmeat sandwich with Parmesan French fries. My daughter was delighted with her sandwich as it has lots of crabmeat. I was underwhelmed with the Station 400 Omelette as it had 1 tiny piece of lobster and the crab tasted almost spoiled. The gluten free toast was good and the grits were average. I found it to be overpriced and not the best breakfast I have had. read more

Station 400 has long been our go-to brunch spot in this family! I'm a big fan of a traditional breakfast so the breakfast "fry-up" is one of my all time favorites, along with the Greek omelette. It's hard, though, to pick any one item over another because truly everything on their menu is delicious. You can't go wrong with their casual classy vibe, and they also have delicious seasonal mimosas read more
Absolutely must try brunch spot! The huevos gringos was beyond amazing with black beans, crunchy tostada, fried egg, avocado and chipotle sauce. We also really liked the breakfast burrito stuffed with hash browns and eggs. The lemon pancakes were good but I personally liked the savory dishes better. read more

We came to eat breakfast at "Station 400" around 9:30AM. We were seated right away. Our server took our drink order as soon as we sat down. The atmosphere was very nice and all the employees were amazing. They had a great breakfast menu and the prices are amazing. The Huevos Gringos meal was $13.50 and the Mexican omelette was also $13.50. Coffee was $3.99 and OJ was $4.25. Our total bill without the tip was $42.53. The food tasted amazing!!! If you're looking for a good breakfast place to go to with a great atmosphere, I would highly suggest coming here. I have nothing bad to say about this place. read more
Pretty good first experience here. They have a very extensive menu with so many great choices -- makes it hard to decide! I ended up getting the Greek omelette which was good... although it may have been missing the kalamata olives? Or maybe just needed more? Still a great meal. My boyfriend got the Spanish omelette which he enjoyed, and then we split the banana + brown sugar pancakes. They were phenomenal! I subtracted a star due to the slow service... our server didn't come to check on us until we both had almost finished our meals; I finally got some ketchup and jam when I only had a few bites left. Also, the portions seemed pretty small in comparison to most other places. Other than that, great breakfast spot! I will be back to try some of the other pancake variations and one of their intriguing mimosa concoctions. read more

Station 400 is such a fun place for breakfast. We have visited many times before but went this Sunday for brunch after winning a Valentine's contest on Facebook. Steven was our server and he was very attentive. We shared the cinnamon bun pancakes and I had the breakfast fry up which is my favorite. My boyfriend had a biscuit and crazy sandwich. We loved every bit of it. Everything was hot and fresh. The best is that they serve mimosas! Definitely recommend. read more
