Inside First Watch
Kristina M.

The second you step on this property, you will notice that there's indoor and outdoor seating both of which are really cute. When you go inside, you're immediately greeted by a host. The service at First Watch was great. When I ordered my transitional breakfast plate I mistook the jam for ketchup and the server was kind enough to get me a new one after I put pepper and hot sauce on it. The bacon was so good and the breakfast plates were packed! If you are in the Lakewood Ranch area, you have to check out First Watch for breakfast or lunch. You will not be disappointed.

Yummm! My first visit to First Watch and won't be my last! I enjoyed a perfect pumpkin pancake with warm syrup, fluffy scrambled eggs and delicious pork sausage patty. My food came to my table piping hot in a short time. My service by Jaquwaan was efficient and friendly. Restaurant is charming too! Looking forward to our First Watch now under construction in my home town!

Corner of Lorraine and 70.

I know that I'm the outlier here but I can't find many things on the menu to my tastes. The few things I'm interested in are really good. The Chickichanga (breakfast enchiladas) is fantastic. The pancakes are really good but just a little bit "doughy" for my liking. I'm a traditional breakfast kinda guy. Most of the breakfast entrees here have mushrooms or basil or pineapple or kale or whatever doesn't usually go in the recipe. This location is geographically desirable for me so I'm going to keep going back to figure out what I will eat or what I can order without the "extras". The service is outstanding and the quality of the food is equally good. It's just the style I'm turned off by. I'm hoping I can update my review in the near future.

Runny eggs, burned sausage patty and cold potatoes.

Food was unacceptable as I didn't get what I ordered. Asked for well done eggs and got over easy with slimy white and slimy yolks. Chicken sausage was burned to a crisp while potatoes were served cold. I just ate my toast and called it a day NEVER to return. We were very displeased. Our server was good but the kitchen was so behind that we had to wait 20 minutes for our meals to be delivered

Wow! A new breakfast/ brunch place has arrived, to open May 6th. We were invited to their soft opening, which was such a great experience! The location is 70 @ Lorraine, which used to be Nancy's BBQ- such a beautiful renovation! We were greeted at the door by Luis, the manager, and promptly seated. The outside is lovely, but too humid of a day for most, so many were inside at the. Booths and tables. There is a nice bar inside which is great for a solo guest or a quick meal, which has a window that passes to the outside area bar seating too. There is ample shaded seating outside,as well. The specials are listed on a chalk board, which was a power bowl, fresh squeezed lavender juice mixture and their special bacon. They also have quite an assortment of fresh squeezed juices. The menu is breakfast on one side and brunch/lunch on the backside. Mesha, was our lovely and most efficient server, who came over with a fresh pot of coffee. I chose the traditional, which includes 2 eggs, choice of meats, potato's and their iconic artisan toast wedges. I traded the toast for an English muffin, fruit instead of the potatoes, and chicken sausage for my meat, my husband selected the trifecta, which subs out a large pancake of choice ( multigrain, blueberry or chocolate chip) Ior a Belgian waffle. I also selected a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. The meal came, in a fast pace and 5 stars on hot, presentation & perfect as ordered for both of us!! The eggs were delicious, chicken sausage large 2 links were soft and yummy, English muffin toasted perfectly, fresh strawberry jam, fruit was sweet & ripe- a mixture of pineapple, honeydew & cantaloupe. My husband also raved about his meal, his multigrain pancake was large & fluffy! It didn't have a multigrain dry texture that he projected, and was quite pleased! The small oj was delicious and ample sized. They also have a nice jug of water for the table, upon request. The coffee carafe, is also left at your table for refills. The servers have great teamwork- Randall, another server, walked over to ask if he could clear a plate- such a nice young man with a great personality, as our server, Mesha had! We now have another great, close breakfast/brunch spot in Lakewood Ranch!! You can join the waitlist, on your app, to shorten your wait time!!

Whenever I'm in Florida , I have at least one breakfast at First Watch. Today, I ordered my favorite elevated egg sandwich. It's simply an egg, bacon, avocado, gruyère cheese, and lemon dressed argula. The seasoned potatoes completed the meal perfectly. I did order takeout. However, I admired the huge patio and bar area equipped with large fans to keep you cool in the hot Florida sun.

Dirty cup.

Pancakes to go came with no syrup or butter on the side. Very disappointing when you order lunch for work for yourself and co workers.

Apparently this place has been here for about a year or so. So, decided to try it! First thing i…read morenoticed was the bar and the upscale decor. There were at least three hostesses/waiters/tresses greeting us at the door. It's more of an adult environment. Very nice! We ordered an app, the cornbread, their claim to fame. And it certainly was fantastic!!! I had the cowboy salad. It was all chopped up just how I like my salads. Perfect amount of ingredients, they didn't skimp! The only issue, and I could have asked for more, was they should bring a small side of dressing when they bring the salads out. Regardless the salad was yummy! The prices were steep but not any more than you would expect to pay in an upscale restaurant, $23. And, what I appreciated was they DO NOT INCLUDE AN AUTO GRATUITY! YAY!!! Overall the experience was outstanding; environment was beautiful, service was good, food was delicious. We will be back, many times I'm sure!

He had great suggestions and provided us excellent service. We tried the cornbread, which is a must have. Large enough for two, maybe three. I had the Danish ribs which were delicious and fell off the bone. Others ordered the prime rib sandwich, Trout, and Salmon. I had the cole slaw and mash potatoes as my sides. All of the food was delicious. They have a full bar and they also allow you to bring your own wine. No corkage fees. Great idea. I would say there were quite a few tables ordering drinks and drinking their own wine. The deserts are sinfully delicious, and huge. After a rich dinner, we shared two of them. The banana cream pie and key lime pie were equally good.

My guest asked a simple question on the lobster. But received a sharp response without the information asked. Like ok. Maybe he didn't understand the question. Then we went to next Items and she had a question for him. He didn't seem to want to help answer it. Then to the final question. After ordering what would be over $100 of food items for lunch. Simple question on the contents of the soup ( which is important for an extreme allergy ). He gave a very smart a** response. I asked again this is important I get an actual response. Again he said a response not answering the question. We were now done and told him to cancel it. We would go somewhere else. He didn't seem to care at all. Wow. If the restaurants goal is to be rude to the customers then they hit a 100. But rudeness and no business doesn't pay the rent nor the staffs salary Don't go here. Give it less than a year will be closed. Spend your money at local places that appreciate the business and try hard

From our table, I could actually see my chicken sandwich sitting in the service window for quite some time before it was finally brought out. When the food arrived, the sandwich, fries, and cheese were all cold. I politely asked for the meal to be remade and inquired whether it would take another 30 minutes. Our server said they would get it out quickly and explained that they were busy. However, looking around the dining room, there were only a handful of occupied tables and two servers working. Several nearby tables were simply having drinks, so it was difficult to understand the delay. What was most disappointing wasn't even the cold food--it was the lack of acknowledgment. A simple apology or some communication about the delay would have gone a long way toward improving the experience. I understand that servers aren't responsible for cooking the food, but they do pass the service window regularly. If food has been sitting under the heat lamps for several minutes waiting on other items, someone should be checking on it or having it remade before it reaches the customer. We were hoping to add this restaurant to our list of regular dining spots, but based on this visit, it unfortunately didn't make the cut.
