Food is amazing. Breakfast and Lunch. My wife and I choose first watch as a first choice for breakfast / brunch on weekends.

All in all, the place is beautiful and we like coming here. Food can take a while sometimes, 20 minutes or more. When we are hungry that isn't fabulous. The second you step on this property, you will notice that there's indoor and outdoor seating both of which are really cute. When you go inside, you're immediately greeted by a host. The service at First Watch was great. When I ordered my transitional breakfast plate I mistook the jam for ketchup and the server was kind enough to get me a new one after I put pepper and hot sauce on it. The bacon was so good and the breakfast plates were packed! If you are in the Lakewood Ranch area, you have to check out First Watch for breakfast or lunch. You will not be disappointed. read more

Yummm! My first visit to First Watch and won't be my last! I enjoyed a perfect pumpkin pancake with warm syrup, fluffy scrambled eggs and delicious pork sausage patty. My food came to my table piping hot in a short time. My service by Jaquwaan was efficient and friendly. Restaurant is charming too! I know that I'm the outlier here but I can't find many things on the menu to my tastes. The few things I'm interested in are really good. The Chickichanga (breakfast enchiladas) is fantastic. The pancakes are really good but just a little bit "doughy" for my liking. I'm a traditional breakfast kinda guy. Most of the breakfast entrees here have mushrooms or basil or pineapple or kale or whatever doesn't usually go in the recipe. This location is geographically desirable for me so I'm going to keep going back to figure out what I will eat or what I can order without the "extras". The service is outstanding and the quality of the food is equally good. It's just the style I'm turned off by. I'm hoping I can update my review in the near future. read more

A friend and I stopped in for breakfast a little after 8AM on a Wednesday. I wasn't sure how crowded it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised there was plenty of parking available and only a handful of customers inside. The place is spacious, with a lot of seating both inside and outside as well. As it was only 3 weeks old in May 2024, everything was new and spiffy clean. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. Service was prompt and above average. My only close to negative comment is that I wish the breakfast menu was a little simpler and down to earth. I don't really need all the fancy goat cheeses, etc, just a simple omelete and some hash browns. But that's just me. I'd stop in again and try it for lunch sometime. read more

Food was unacceptable as I didn't get what I ordered. Asked for well done eggs and got over easy with slimy white and slimy yolks. Chicken sausage was burned to a crisp while potatoes were served cold. I just ate my toast and called it a day NEVER to return. We were very displeased. Nothing like going to an eatery expecting to have a quality meal. However when visiting First Watch on Lorraine and SR70, that hasn't been the case. We placed our order for pancakes and after almost a half hour the server arrives. Well the pancakes were so WELL done they had no flavor whatsoever. The top and bottom were very dark brown and they separated like two slices of bread when we mentioned it to the server they just agreed and said probably because they were busy. First of all any HALFWAY experienced grill person should never send out any thing like that. Also secondly the server should not have brought them to the table. First Watch is more of a snowbird attraction. We're going to stay with smaller restaurant venues. Bigger obviously is always better. read more

The breakfast is decent. The frittata was good, but I had to add seasoning and salsa. They had a pico not a salsa. The pico was fresh, and I enjoyed that with my breakfast. The avacado toast needed seasoning as well. I don't like paying for food, and then having to make it taste good. They stay packed, but I thought the food was pretty bland. Maybe it was a bad morning. The salad served with my frittata and the pico de gallo was the best thing. They serve a great ambiance, and the service was wonderful! read more

We have been to First Watch many times across multiple states. We tried their new location on SR70 and it was awesome. We went Sunday after church and called ahead. We were greeted, seated and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with fresh coffee. The new restaurant's design is great with plenty of seating, a little tight for a big guy like me. Wow! A new breakfast/ brunch place has arrived, to open May 6th. We were invited to their soft opening, which was such a great experience! The location is 70 @ Lorraine, which used to be Nancy's BBQ- such a beautiful renovation! We were greeted at the door by Luis, the manager, and promptly seated. The outside is lovely, but too humid of a day for most, so many were inside at the. Booths and tables. There is a nice bar inside which is great for a solo guest or a quick meal, which has a window that passes to the outside area bar seating too. There is ample shaded seating outside,as well. The specials are listed on a chalk board, which was a power bowl, fresh squeezed lavender juice mixture and their special bacon. They also have quite an assortment of fresh squeezed juices. The menu is breakfast on one side and brunch/lunch on the backside. Mesha, was our lovely and most efficient server, who came over with a fresh pot of coffee. I chose the traditional, which includes 2 eggs, choice of meats, potato's and their iconic artisan toast wedges. I traded the toast for an English muffin, fruit instead of the potatoes, and chicken sausage for my meat, my husband selected the trifecta, which subs out a large pancake of choice ( multigrain, blueberry or chocolate chip) Ior a Belgian waffle. I also selected a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. The meal came, in a fast pace and 5 stars on hot, presentation & perfect as ordered for both of us!! The eggs were delicious, chicken sausage large 2 links were soft and yummy, English muffin toasted perfectly, fresh strawberry jam, fruit was sweet & ripe- a mixture of pineapple, honeydew & cantaloupe. My husband also raved about his meal, his multigrain pancake was large & fluffy! It didn't have a multigrain dry texture that he projected, and was quite pleased! The small oj was delicious and ample sized. They also have a nice jug of water for the table, upon request. The coffee carafe, is also left at your table for refills. The servers have great teamwork- Randall, another server, walked over to ask if he could clear a plate- such a nice young man with a great personality, as our server, Mesha had! Second visit -/this time during the week when things are not as crazy as on weekends. Seating was quick and service was attentive. Our server was right over with coffee and water and our meals came out piping hot and delicious! Food quality and service were very consistent ! Whenever I'm in Florida , I have at least one breakfast at First Watch. Today, I ordered my favorite elevated egg sandwich. It's simply an egg, bacon, avocado, gruyère cheese, and lemon dressed argula. The seasoned potatoes completed the meal perfectly. I did order takeout. Best First Watch location I have been to. We have returned numerous times and will continue to do so. Aside from the convenient location in East Lakewood Ranch, this place is very spacious! The food, as with all locations, is always fresh and delicious. The staff is excellent, they are all friendly, polite and helpful. Since opening and working out a few kinks, everything seems to be going well. I highly recommend this location! read more

I will say our waiter, Nikolas, was fantastic. He was attentive and thoughtful and was engaged to see that our family brunch was a success. The ambiance was nice. If I could rate 0, I certainly would. My husband and I came here at 11:30 on a weekday, nothing too busy and were given the worst service. The hostess was extremely rude. As a hostess you're supposed to be the warm welcome for the place. But judging by her rude look on her face that should have been my sign to turn around and leave. And yet I did not. We get sat and wait about 15 minutes for ANYONE to come around and check on us. I would like to add that it was not very busy, so I am unsure why it took so long. Anyways, we finally had someone come up to us and claim they weren't our server but can take our order anyways. Amazing, thanks. We order our drinks and food. Our food comes out relatively quickly, and yet where are our drinks? We flag a different waitress down to grab us our drinks which comes about 5 minutes after. My husband ordered a coffee and luckily for me I looked in the mug before we poured it. The mug was filthy. Same deal with my water cup. What are we doing? Why are cups disgustingly dirty? And to top it off, we also ordered a fountain beverage that was dry and never asked if we wanted a refill or anything. Awful experience, waste of time. Service was good. The place had a good crowd, but noise levels were manageable. Parking was a bit of a hassle - there just wasn't enough at the time. My lemon ricotta pancakes (my go-to dish at first watch) were dry as a bone after the topping ran out. Yeah, I should have sent them back, but I didn't. First time at this new location and did not disappoint. Party of 7 and all food was great. Good dining space, plenty of space between tables with indoor/outdoor options. Server Nicholas was great, esp with our 5yr old. I have a gluten allergy and was explained how they prep and protect from cross contamination. Let me start off by saying the food is excellent. The potato's, cooked to perfection, light fluffy pancakes and delightfully sweet french toast. The service was great, quick and attentive, which was nice! The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was incredible. Overall 9/10! read more
