Quality food, wonderful service, decent prices. They offer a wide range of healthy food options unlike I have ever seen.

So much better than Denny's or village inn. They have some really good bacon and I love their chocolate milk. Not sure what it is. I always like my server and they have some good ones here. The food is always well prepared and I've only sent food back one time and they corrected the issue immediately. Super clean restaurant with people there who seem to care. The MONTEREY CLUB Turkey, bacon, avocado, organic mixed greens, tomato, Monterey Jack and mayo on sourdough along with the CHICKEN AVOCADO CHOP Chopped romaine and arugula, all-natural chicken breast, avocado, tomatoes, corn, black beans, Feta cheese and crispy tortilla chips with a citrus chipotle dressing we're both delicious. No wait so that was amazing. It's a clean, artistic place. They had a lot of variety and specialty items so it's nice everyone could find something to eat. The server was nice, sometimes not attentive, but kind. The food was overall good. The temperature could have been warmer especially some items in the omelets but overall extremely tasteful. First time in Florida I wanted something hearty and healthy for breakfast I googled best breakfast in Tampa and the 1st place that popped up was first watch.. this was the best choice. The time of our visit was after breakfast and before the lunch rush. Upon arrival, I used the facilities to wash my hands. Upon returning to our table, I saw my daughter was being served a carafe of coffee. I, however, wasn't asked whether I wanted the same or something different. My daughter had also requested water, but we waited an additional 12 minutes after being seated and finally had to flag down a busser to get a drink. We were finally able to place our order: I had a favorite meal from other First Watch locations ~ Eggs Benedict Florentine~ which I ordered. My daughter had the BLT with egg sandwich. Our food came in a timely manner, but was quite incongruous in its presentation. My daughter thought her sandwich was quite good, except for the fact that the bread wasn't toasted and therefore became soggy. My food just wasn't even appealing. The egg whites were very undercooked, to the point they were not firm but slimy and runny. While I asked for the Spinach to be sautéed and the tomatoes grilled to keep the eggs warm, the ice cold avocado and cold bread defeated that strategy. The side of potatoes I ordered also arrived cold and, to top it off, undercooked. After flagging down our inattentive server (who never checked back with us) I indicated I would like a salad with two sides of dressing instead of the breakfast. I pointed out the errors so he could alert the chef. Shortly thereafter, another server (No sign of the manager)brought not one, but two salads to my table. I told her I only ordered one, but with two dressings. She assured me that was it was no problem and that I was welcome to take the extra home. Thinking that was awfully nice of her, I accepted. The Pecan salad was very good, even though once again our server neglected to check on me. Instead, after some time, he showed up with a plastic container of salad dressing to go, added it to the bag with the extra salad, and left the check. Hmmm, now why would I be charged for a breakfast I did not eat and an extra salad I didn't order? When I asked to finally speak to a manager, he seemed unconcerned about the less than stellar dining experience but agreed to adjust the check. Good enough, but when he began to "educate" me on how a proper poached eggs is cooked and served, I'd had enough. A simple "I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your meal, how can I make it up to you?" is what was required. Not, "Well one egg was perfectly cooked and the other just slightly under." Never talk down to a customer in such a way as if they don't know how the food they order should be served. It's rude and condescending. All around this was a dismal experience and I'm glad this First Watch isn't my local or I'd never eat there again. read more

The service was mediocre, our server took a while to greet us and didnt check on us more than twice. My boyfriend and I don't normally eat a lot but in order for us to feel full, we both had to order more food, it just didn't seem filling. I'm not really an egg, quinoa or waffle person so I felt limited overall on what I could choose from. I didn't really care for what I got to eat. After 20% tip we spent $56 on two people for brunch. Excellent service and updated pricing. I know what I love about First Watch: the open kitchen area, the green booth seats, the iced coffee, and the trifecta with a lemon ricotta pancake. This time I had a server with bubbling personality. I wish I could remember her name, but she just radiated with joy. She suggested the hacienda hash for my mother, which was so good, I kept "tasting" it. I still ate my trifecta, but my meal was more expensive than it was at other First Watch locations. A trifecta with upgraded pancake and iced coffee was always ~$14 in the past, but this time the same items were ~$18. It might not seem like a big difference, but for $4 I could have had a fresh juice or millionaires bacon. The host tried to explain, but next time I'll just ask how much the upgraded pancake will cost before deciding. read more

First Watch, regardless of the location, is one of my most favoritest breakfast places. The variety is fantastic and I'm convinced that there is something for everyone! I love their avo toast, the skillets, the juices, and the specials are always fun to try. This location is more trendy than the other locations likely due to its newness. From their industrial farm look to their proudly advised fresh food, I was really impressed Their breakfast was as tasty as well. Plus I do appreciate a menu that includes a calorie count. Food was wonderful. When can we go back?! Well, we went back today, 12/8. What a difference a couple of days makes. Started well...seated immediately, drinks right away, order quickly taken. One frittata with veggies, including onion. Singling out the onion because you don't expect to have several slices of onion skin included, which this one did. We compare it to something like finding a hair or two, just not quite as gross. Also ordered bacon, egg, cheese sandwich with side of well done potatoes Asked for eggs over medium but still runny. Got eggs over well, nothing runny about them. Normal potatoes, not well done. Pointed out the pieces of onion to waitress who said she let her manager know. We stuck around for several minutes but no manager came by to comment, apologize, or offer a discount. Maybe I'm expecting too much of today's managers. They're too busy or lack the customer service training, or worse, they don't care? If rating restaurant today, it would be a 3 1/2 star. read more

So if it was like 1 year ago, I would give this place at least 4 stars. But the quality has diminished since then. I use to have breakfast there pretty often. And then on two occasions in a row the quality was not all that great, and I was disappointed in the meals. And so decided to give this place a break. The food was great. The seasonal menu is delightful and the ambience is always lovely. I've been here quite a few times and I know it gets busy on the weekends. You can check in online which is completely awesome. The only thing preventing a five star review was the service I received on a Sunday. I am fine with a long weight time (it took an hour for our food to come out) but our waitress Angie just avoided us. We were seated- then twenty minutes later she brought coffee and took our orders then it was an hour before anyone came out to bring out food (not Angie) then she made one check in once we received our food. I get that the wait time is out of a servers control but it really goes a long way for a server to check in and acknowledge the wait time. It was my husband's first time so I'm bummed that he isn't interested in coming back. read more

First Watch has good coffee that isn't watered down and they leave the pot on the table so you never run out. The service is great and the food is better than other breakfast places. Lots of healthy choices, but plenty of the yummy stuff too like waffles, french toast, cinnamon rolls, and pancakes of course. They have a side called Million Dollar Bacon that is a candied slightly spicy bacon that is so good. The cinnamon rolls are large and covered in a caramel type sauce with pecans. It's not your typical cinnamon bun with gobs of icing, but it's really good. read more
