We were passing by this area while driving south to visit family. I saw all of the good reviews and thought - I have to try this place! I am a huge breakfast/brunch lover so my expectations were high. The wait was 75 minutes on Sunday at 11am. We did use the online service to add our name to the list which was a nice feature. I ordered the French toast that had this description: "Custard-dipped, thick-cut brioche bread topped with whipped butter and powdered cinnamon sugar." I was served a plain slice of grilled toast with nothing on it (it did come with a side of very tart fruit preserves). My husband ordered a basic breakfast meal (he was already annoyed that they only had turkey sausage gravy for biscuits and gravy). He said it was just "ok". I did order a scrambled egg on the side which was very tasty. After getting our food, we never saw our waitress again. We had to ask for our bill. Prices were a little high based on portion sizes. Overall I wasn't impressed, but maybe it was an off day. After leaving I found out that are opening a location near our house so I would be willing to try again. read more

Our waitress so warm and welcoming and she would receive 4 stars for her service . We always had a clean table and full drinks. If you like cheese and grits , try their cheesy grits it won't disappoint. Unfortunately for me the turkey biscuits and gravy just tasted like it had canned turkey gravy over the top of the biscuits. My husband created his own omelette and found it to be ver delicious. Full of flavor and not runny as he had experienced from other establishments. The other items were average taste. My husband and I are clearly First Watch groupies :) We are from Florida, so when we went home we decided to try out this location since it was not there before. We got here pretty early around 7:30 a.m. on a Sunday and there was about 10 of us. And everything from server to the food to the checkout was excellent. What I loved was that we were on a timed visit sine my husband and I needed to go to the airport to fly back to Maryland and my mom had ordered the salmon breakfast and she was not a fan of it, so the server was extremely nice and took it back and got her something else and everything was done in a such timely manner we still had time to eat and enjoy family and visit before leaving to the airport. You order from the waitress and never see her again until she quickly brings your check to you half way through your meal practically kicking you out before you've had the chance to eat your food. SO LOUD INSIDE that you might as well be at the Casino at full capacity! You can't even have a conversation with the person across the table from you. Rock hard pieces of avocado. Skin still left on the sliced onions making them impossible to chew. Not worth it to go there. Small parking lot in which it is very badly designed and really crowded you are almost guaranteed to get into an accident each time you enter it. Moreover, you have to wait each and every time you go. Can they not get people in and out in a timely manner, or, do they not realize that they need to expand and at least double the number of tables in the building? read more

Great breakfast spot with decent coffee. It's so hard to find a good breakfast restaurant that actually has good coffee. First Watch has good coffee that isn't watered down and they leave the pot on the table so you never run out. The service is great and the food is better than other breakfast places. Lots of healthy choices, but plenty of the yummy stuff too like waffles, french toast, cinnamon rolls, and pancakes of course. They have a side called Million Dollar Bacon that is a candied slightly spicy bacon that is so good. The cinnamon rolls are large and covered in a caramel type sauce with pecans. It's not your typical cinnamon bun with gobs of icing, but it's really good. read more

First Watch has amazingly fresh food!!! This place is the epitome of a real restaurant. You have to also try their Kale Tonic... It is my addiction!!! Their breakfast bowls... are perfection!! Avacado Toast.... so delicious... They serve food that looks delicious, and gives you the energy for your day! Eat here and you will come back!!! My Uncle and I frequent this Riverview location quite often. This is by far our favorite place for breakfast in the Tampa Bay Area! The food is excellent and the service is second to NONE! What do you people see in this place? The menu is limited. It is overpriced. And for the five times I have been at a 1st Watch (each one as a guest), they have screwed up the order five times. It is hard to fathom how a breakfast restaurant cannot cook eggs properly. Eggs over easy should be cooking 101. I don't know how they stay in business at the prices they charge. In the interest of fairness, my friend said his breakfast was ok and my sister said hers was passable. For these prices, they should be excellent. $2.99 for a coffee and the same for an iced tea? Gimme a break. Beware that they charge extra for toast! Is that a joke or what? When they brought my extra-cost toast, which was ordered dark, it was as if they just took it out of the bag. Barely toasted at all. I will never darken another 1st Watch again and I implore others to be aware before they go. read more

Tried it for the first time and had their traditional eggs Benedict. The portion sizes were great, but the flavor was really lacking somewhere. My husband thought his chicichanga or whatever it's called was "OK." My son really enjoyed his pancake off the kids menu- it was huge! I have eaten at First Watch in downtown Tampa and Carrollwood. Always tasty. However I tried this location for the first, and last time. The food was horrible. My wife had a waffle that was not completely cooked. I had the Chorizo inlet. Something in the omelette was burned. I think it was the Cilantro. I don't return food because there are too many things they could do to your food as evidenced on many YouTube videos. I see some folks have enjoyed the place but today it was a disaster. read more
