Consistently great and a family favorite due to unique, tasty and healthy options. Have tried the roasted vegetable omelet (whole creminis!), the classic Eggs Benedict (best I've had in some time) and a seasonal pumpkin pancake special with chicken-apple sausage. We are so excited to have a First Watch in Texas! The decor is a modern rustic with an open floor plan. It's awesome that it doesn't feel like a chain at all. The Elevated Egg Sandwich was fantastic, fresh avocado, cage fee eggs with arugula and bacon on a brioche bun. YUM! I also highly recommend the multigrain Blueberry pancakes. They are huge. I am giving four stars since they don't have any milk alternatives for coffee (such as soy milk) but more so because the manager behaved oddly when I suggested they should have some. Luckily they have only been opened two days so maybe on our next visit. read more

Complete disaster. Arrived at 11:45 on Saturday and we were quoted a 15 minute wait. Checked back in at noon, quoted another 10 minutes, ok. Checked in at 12:10, told another 15 minutes. At this point we noticed tables walking out complaining they'd been seated for over 30 minutes and had not received their food so we left. The hosts up front could care less as they were to busy talking to each other and their friends who were waiting for a table as well. We will not being going back. Plenty of other options near by. Super cozy breakfast spot in Richardson. The food is great, menu offers a good variety without overwhelming you, and the staff is super friendly. If I had one complaint, I would be the portions are an average size which isn't really a problem if your an average eater. read more

I really wanted to love this place. The food is good, but the service is horrendous. The first time we went we ate inside and everything was fine. The second time we went, we chose to eat outside. We sat outside for 30 minutes without being greeted even though multiple wait staff had passed by us to help the other tables outside. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere to eat. Both of those were pre-Covid. This last time we tried, I placed an online order for pick up. An hour after it was supposed to be ready o was still standing there waiting for the food. Someone finally looked into it and said the kitchen had lost the ticket. I requested a refund and they filled out a form to give me the refund since I didn't get my food, and said it would take a few days. It's now been 15 days and I still have not received my refund. I was a server for a long time and have a lot of patience with restaurants, but we will not be returning here again. read more

The food is always brought out cold my first experience here was ok but the food was cold but at least the service was pretty good. My second time coming here is likely my last time because the service wasn't good and the food was cold and honestly mediocre. Our server rarely checked on us and always forgot to bring the things we asked her for I would expect that since the food is as high priced as it is then the service would be better. Overall wouldn't recommend unless you don't really care about the quality of the service. read more

The only thing I don't like about First Watch is that I don't live close enough to go more often!! I live in East Texas and we have NOTHING to compare! I was in Richardson visiting my son, daughter-in-law and perfect Granddaughter. They suggested we go here on the morning I was heading home. The service was great, the food was terrific, the decor was great. I don't remember what the meal I ordered was called, but it was eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. I loved the entire meal especially the fresh bread that made wonderful toast and their jelly topped it perfectly. It was a little pricey, but in my opinion, definitely worth it!! Thanks First Watch. This is a relatively new Breakfast Place (only open til 2:30pm) Its located where the Egg & I used to be. I liked everything I had. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had the Kale juice drink, rally good the Butternut Squash Soup was also very nice and the Avocado Toast with 2 eggs was fresh and tasty! Not your cheapest breakfast, but the eggs are cage free and everything was fresh. I will go back to they the Ultimate Egg Sandwich :) read more

Nice relaxing farm to table restaurant. We had the veg omelet and the veg omelet with smoked salmon. The salmon was a little fishy tasting but still delicious. The potatoes are fresh and hot. Also had the blueberry pancake, toss the syrup and use the fresh compote that comes with it. Lovely! We will definitely be coming back a nice option for vegetarians and vegans. read more

We were looking for "The Egg and I" but were surprised when we drove by and another business was in their spot. The name "First Watch" sounded like a medical clinic or bank so we drove to another restaurant for our Sunday breakfast. No cars in the parking lot on a Sunday about 9am so business must be bad. This was an amazing breakfast. My husband and I both had egg white veggie omelettes, and they were very good and healthy. The omelettes were served with toast which was delicious, and t was served with delicious berry jam. Our side of fruit was fresh and not like so many other fruit sides you get. I come here often enough to consider myself a "regular" and I will say I have yet to have a dish I didn't like. Everything is very tasty and most of the time I order something from their Healthier Side which at a lot of restaurants tends to be pretty bland. It's not bland here- the Avocado Toast is great, as is the AM Superfoods Bowl and Steel Cut Oatmeal. My favorite healthy choice is the Power Wrap. The food is consistently delicious and the service is fast, friendly and efficient. I used their new app to reserve a place in line after church Sunday. I never received the text saying our table was ready, but upon arrival there wasn't a line after all but they did have my name listed and we were seated immediately.
