The atmosphere and decor of the diner is the equivalent of a modern looking place adopting a hipster feel. The waiting staff were nice and seated our table within a short amount of time. The food was decent and appropriately priced. I was trying to be healthy so I ordered a triathlete, which is a healthy veggie omelette. The omelette was alright but the accompanying wheat toast with jam was the highlight of the meal. The wait wasn't too long especially for us going during lunch time. However, the waiter went to every other table besides ours and even the people who were sat after us got their meal way before ours. The waiter made multiple trips back and forth to the kitchen instead of gathering all request which could've helped them as well. After waiting 35 minutes for our food another server noticed we hadn't received our food as I was walking to the kitchen. Since we hadn't seen our server in a while, she let them know we had been waiting. The manager took note and went back to business. Our server came to tell us the kitchen lost our ticket so he took our order again and said it would be put in as Turbo. After another 20 minutes, we were given a gift card to use for next time. Instead, I asked what they could do this time. Our meals were comped (but gift card taken away). Total of 1.5 hrs and we received our meals togo as requested. Pancake and bacon cold on one order, half of the other order missing (they brought it out when we asked about it). The food wasn't good, the comping was a nice gesture, but still doesn't fix the whole situation. There was a table sitting adjacent to us that also had issues with not receiving their order. We had a good laugh. We didn't have to pay for our meal, which is probably the best that can be done. I believe the other reviewers when they say this place offers great service and I could tell those helping us were trying. Oh! and to quote another Yelper - Pro tip: get on the wait list through yelp before you head here, skip the line! The food was really good, much better than diner food. The ingredients looked and tasted fresh and tasted fresh too. The portions were large so you can even take leftovers home for another meal! I'd also say the prices were on point too. The staff is very attentive but not to the point where it gets weird. The food's just as good as it looks. There's a wide variety that caters to every diet so picky eaters are welcome here. Although in a strip center on Campbell the interior was attractive with farmhouse styling. The entrance was very crowded and the restaurant busy at noon with a 30 minute wait. Staff was courteous and attentive. The food was fresh and average especially in light of the other high end breakfast locations in the area. Most disappointing was the breakfast sandwich. A single egg with two thin slices of bacon and a light sprinkle of arugula on a large brioche bun with a side of country potatoes for over $10. It was a bread sandwich. The pancakes were large but ordinary and the waffle was below average and lacked that crisp exterior. In the end it was over $60 with tip for the three of us. Will not return. read more

What a find while traveling through Dallas!!! The food is farm to table, fresh and delicious! Great service! We arrived early and thankful we did as this place gets packed! We've always had positive experiences with the food here. The menu has lots of healthy options, which is refreshing for a breakfast joint. The avocado toast is my favorite; I've never tasted better elsewhere. Everything we've tried is delicious and cooked to order. Also, the atmosphere is super cute, with kind of a Texas farmhouse vibe. But the service here needs massive work to complement the quality of the food. The servers are typically inconsistent and slow to action. Only a few servers stand out positively in my mind, Jenny being the best. However, we have had all of the following happen to us at this First Watch location: - A server who would not give us eye contact - A server who would alternate between singing and saying "Oh my God" over and over when he walked (or ran) past our table - A server who started off great but forgot to put our order in, then blamed the kitchen once it came out 45 minutes later - A server who gave us a sob story about her financial woes and her broken down car shortly after greeting us - A server who loudly announced in front of multiple patrons, "I have to pee!" before running to the bathroom Also, when we pay our tab, the person at the front usually seems to hate their life and rarely smiles or thanks us for coming. Overall, we keep returning for the healthy, yummy food and cute ambiance, just hoping we might get a good server, but that usually isn't the case. I'm speaking for breakfast as lunch was just ok. I'm addicted to the farm hash bowl. The avocado, eggs, potatoes, bacon and cheese combined are heavenly. This dish is flavorful and hearty. You will leave full and happy. Another tasty item is the crab omelette it's a seasonal item. It is loaded with crab and I wish it wasn't a seasonal item. Every bite has the perfect amount of crab. It just melts in your mouth and it brought me so much joy. The morning meditation concoction is equally delicious. This drink does a body good.. I finally had a chance to try First Watch after they opened recently. I met a fellow Yelper for one of our brunch outings on a Sunday. It is located on Campbell east of 75 in the old Egg and I location. The decor is farmhouse friendly..super cute with wood floors, a neutral color palette, and cute signs on the walls. We met around 1:00, and the wait was not too bad. Maybe 5-10 minutes. Our server was nice, but did not really seem to know what he was doing. He joked around about it, which was cute. Learner's curve I guess. We have all been there. The menu has both breakfast and brunch items. They have a lot of healthy options on the menu! I went for The Works Omelette, which has bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes. It was served with a dollop of sour cream, and a side of greens..Hmmm..I loved this. In addition, I also ordered a single blueberry pancake, which was huge! It was good, but I have had better. Prices ranged from about $9-$15 I would say. There were a few things that I wanted to try, so I will be back. I would suggest if looking for a cute breakfast spot. read more

I used to love First watch years ago, when we lived in Florida. Not sure if these are corporate or franchised, but the have the same kind of menu as the Orlando area locations, with a rustic decor. Service was slow, and the food was good, healthier and priced better than comparable breakfast joints. I didn't love what I ordered (Floridian French toast) but the kid loved her crepe and hub's chickachanga was delish! We were a little worried the Egg & I changed their name and constructed this little farm-house-inspired piece of work...thankfully we were totally wrong. We LOVE the changes to the menu and can't stop coming back. I am obsessed with the fresh juices (Day glow and morning meditation) and the unlikely favorite, the Superfoods Bowl with Coconut milk chia seed pudding topped with fresh bananas, berries, blackberry preserves and granola. My husband who is a meat loving, eggs eating, pancakes kind of guy has even fallen for this dish and orders it regularly as well.
