    Ube Latte

Great spot off the beaten path! I've been here a few times and the atmosphere and coffee is always TOP TIER. I recently tried the ube horchata latte and that will probably be my new go-to. Their food is good also- especially the hot honey avocado toast.

Cafe Frida is such a cute cafe nestled in Garland. Its spacious, with ample seating and outlets! They also have an ice cream shop as well separated by a door. I ordered a banana matcha with oat milk and it wasn't overly sweet which i appreciate. I enjoyed it but I could've wished for more banana flavoring to come through. It said it came with banana milk but I asked if I wanted whole milk or an alternative so I wonder why the banana milk isn't standard. I think it would've enhanced the flavor. Oh and the menu notes ceremonial grade matcha for anyone wondering. The space is vibrant and bright with lots of decor going on. It seemed like a very popular spot with customers bustling in for a few hours. I'll be back to try some more matcha drinks and maybe the ice cream too.

My friend and I came here for a quick bite for brunch and it was the perfect place for a cute intimate meal. I got their ube matcha and Avacado toast with egg. Everything was very tasty and the matcha was excellent!

Ice doesn't fill up the whole cup (good)

The mango sticky rice matcha was so delicious and the matcha color dark and good! The ice didn't even fill up the cup half way so the drink was mostly drink instead of the typical 90% ice like at other places. 10/10 recommendddd

Wow, great customer service ,amazing coffee. Food was delicious. The ambience was everything. I definitely recommend this place 10 out of 10. I will definitely be coming back! You must try the breakfast croissant I didn't take a picture of the croissant, but oh my God it was delicious!!

Colorful and comforting is the best way I can describe this place! The outside AND inside of this spot are very vibrant but give a cozy vibe. There's tons of room for studying/hanging out and the workers are the sweetest! Be prepared to look at the menu for a while because they have so many GREAT options. I couldn't decide the Horchata or Ube matcha and the staff broke everything down for me. I ended up getting the horchata matcha, which was good but the matcha was a little overpowered by the cinnamon (which the workers did tell me lol). I'll definitely be back to try the ube :)

They ran out of horchata ...had to get a different drink... we were going to sit at a corner table but it legit smelled like urine ...I don't even know how they couldn't smell it. Would I come again? Probably not because that stunk strongly.

    Avocado Toast with bacon

We went to Garland Texas to visit a wholesale shop and stopped at Café Frida to have a little bite before we went shopping. It was the cutest little place ever! It was colorful inviting they had all kinds of different treats, foods, and coffees that we can choose from. I had the avocado toast. I ordered it with some of their most delicious bacon I've ever tasted on top. I also ordered the abuelita iced coffee, and everything just went very well together. I loved that place and I will return! I give that place five stars.

One of my favorite strawberry matchas in the DFW area! It was whisked up quickly, and the girl who took my order was kind. I also really loved the unique artwork and vibe of the interior!

This place is sooooo cute! I stopped in with a friend for a drink and a snack. One side is the ice cream shop (dangerous) and the other side is a coffee shop. The decor is eclectic and funky, with lots of cool spaces to hunker down with your laptop. We sat on the couches and chatted away. The service was great! The women behind the counter were friendly and helped explained all the drinks. I got the Mexican mocha and it was delicious! My friend loved the matcha. Such a great tucked away spot! We stayed for 2 hours and it felt like I was hanging out at home on my couch.

The atmosphere here is so inviting and the menu always has something delicious to try for the season! Though the service is usually quite slow, I think you'd find it worth to lounge around and wait in their bright environment.

Cool place to hang out and grab coffee. The artwork is amazing and the set up/vibes are very cool. I got an ube drink that was on the sweeter side but not bad. The food was ok. While I appreciate the option of a beef hotdog pastry, it was cold and did not taste good. My friend got the egg sando but it was so disappointing. Definitely good for social media pics.

Place is right in the heart of Downtown Garland. Very cute and convenient location. Right from the outside you can appreciate the art and aesthetic let alone once you walk in. Atmosphere was pretty quiet when I walked in and there was no line either. The ladies at the register were nice and I ended up getting an Horchata Foam Latte. To be honest, the drink itself was okay... nothing special. However the place on its own was beautiful to me and I would go back to try out other drinks of theirs!

The space has a lot of seating between the two rooms and plenty of natural light. Love that, because there are too many coffee shops in DFW with virtually no seating lol The decor is minimal but it feels cozy and they have some cute items throughout the space. The drinks are creative and the minimal food options paired well either them. The prices were also not bad, with small drinks starting at $5.50, and a few of them including a choice of milk instead of forcing you to pay extra for that, which I appreciated. I opted for the strawberry and guava matcha that was a seasonal menu item and enjoyed every sip. The guava wasn't very noticeable though. I also got the pesto toast that was $9.70 and it was a very refreshing meal with great flavor. My friend also really liked her cookie butter toast, which I think I'll try next time I visit. They also offer a drink flight that I can't wait to try in the future! They took our order quickly and even though they had a steady flow of customer orders our items came out at a relatively quick pace, with drinks being the first. Give them a try!

It was enough to share for two or a hearty meal for one. The bread is soft and airy with a dense matter that worked well to pair with the food. Note that this restaurant is in a busy strip mall with many other shops and there's plenty of parking although could be busy around meal times. Also, the restaurant is noticeable not pristine clean as there are small stains on table mats and some tables and chairs had crumbs. So if that is an issue for you, you may want to do to-go or look carefully for a clean table. Otherwise, it's a great place to enjoy a meal and cup of coffee. When I arrived, no one greeted or acknowledged me. I waited patiently & eventually asked if the order was ready, but the response I received was very dry, unwelcoming & not the type of attitude expected in a customer-facing role. Additionally, the drinks were not packaged properly. I was carrying a large order in their provided box, and a couple of drinks were leaking onto me as I walked out. Proper packaging is just as important as friendly service, especially when handling delivery orders. As a delivery driver, I discover many new restaurants that I later return to as a customer, but based on this interaction, I would not choose to come back here personally. Good customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, that was missing during my visit.
