Cafe Frida is such a cute cafe nestled in Garland. Its spacious, with ample seating and outlets! They also have an ice cream shop as well separated by a door. I ordered a banana matcha with oat milk and it wasn't overly sweet which i appreciate. I enjoyed it but I could've wished for more banana flavoring to come through. It said it came with banana milk but I asked if I wanted whole milk or an alternative so I wonder why the banana milk isn't standard. I think it would've enhanced the flavor. Oh and the menu notes ceremonial grade matcha for anyone wondering. The space is vibrant and bright with lots of decor going on. It seemed like a very popular spot with customers bustling in for a few hours. I'll be back to try some more matcha drinks and maybe the ice cream too.
Great spot off the beaten path! I've been here a few times and the atmosphere and coffee is always TOP TIER. I recently tried the ube horchata latte and that will probably be my new go-to. Their food is good also- especially the hot honey avocado toast.
Place is right in the heart of Downtown Garland. Very cute and convenient location. Right from the outside you can appreciate the art and aesthetic let alone once you walk in. Atmosphere was pretty quiet when I walked in and there was no line either. The ladies at the register were nice and I ended up getting an Horchata Foam Latte. To be honest, the drink itself was okay... nothing special. However the place on its own was beautiful to me and I would go back to try out other drinks of theirs!
Awesome ambience and great service! I had the turkey sandwich, ube cake and the coffee. 10/10. The hours are perfect as well! This is one of my favorite coffee places in Dallas!
My friend and I came here for a quick bite for brunch and it was the perfect place for a cute intimate meal. I got their ube matcha and Avacado toast with egg. Everything was very tasty and the matcha was excellent!

There's tons of room for studying/hanging out and the workers are the sweetest! Be prepared to look at the menu for a while because they have so many GREAT options. I couldn't decide the Horchata or Ube matcha and the staff broke everything down for me. I ended up getting the horchata matcha, which was good but the matcha was a little overpowered by the cinnamon (which the workers did tell me lol). I'll definitely be back to try the ube :)
Wow, great customer service ,amazing coffee. Food was delicious. The ambience was everything. I definitely recommend this place 10 out of 10. I will definitely be coming back! You must try the breakfast croissant I didn't take a picture of the croissant, but oh my God it was delicious!!
The mango sticky rice matcha was so delicious and the matcha color dark and good! The ice didn't even fill up the cup half way so the drink was mostly drink instead of the typical 90% ice like at other places. 10/10 recommendddd
One of my favorite strawberry matchas in the DFW area! It was whisked up quickly, and the girl who took my order was kind. I also really loved the unique artwork and vibe of the interior!
This place is sooooo cute! I stopped in with a friend for a drink and a snack. One side is the ice cream shop (dangerous) and the other side is a coffee shop. The decor is eclectic and funky, with lots of cool spaces to hunker down with your laptop. We sat on the couches and chatted away. The service was great! The women behind the counter were friendly and helped explained all the drinks. I got the Mexican mocha and it was delicious! My friend loved the matcha. Such a great tucked away spot! We stayed for 2 hours and it felt like I was hanging out at home on my couch.
They ran out of horchata ...had to get a different drink... we were going to sit at a corner table but it legit smelled like urine ...I don't even know how they couldn't smell it. Would I come again? Probably not because that stunk strongly.

While I appreciate the option of a beef hotdog pastry, it was cold and did not taste good. My friend got the egg sando but it was so disappointing. Definitely good for social media pics.
This quaint and lovely cafe in Garland is adorable. The staff was so friendly and accommodating as I asked questions during my visit for the first time. From what I recall, all of their matchas are made with oat milk. I'm not sure if that's necessarily a good thing. My classic matcha latte was just okay but I want to give their iced coffees a try. I also tried the avocado toast which was delicious. Can't wait to come back and bring my laptop to hand here for a couple of hours. read more
One thing I wish about my experience at Cafe Frida is that I HAD IT SOONER! Oh my! I rarely find myself in the Garland area, so when I began taking some pilates classes nearby, I knew I needed to find all the cute local gems! Cafe Frida being one of them! Not only is this cafe so cozy and comfortable, there is plenty of space to sit! It would absolutely be perfect for anyone looking for a good working from home location as they also have plenty of outlets! And the service! Oh my, the girls at the front have been so sweet and kind! They often make conversation while also helping choose the best options on the menu! Now for the good stuff! The Menu! I have yet to try any of their food options, but I have had a chance to try both their iced and hot lattes! I can confidently say that Cafe Frida knows what they are doing when it comes to a good cup of caffeine! Sometimes, especially when ordering something with a bit more sweetness, coffee or espresso can lose it's taste, and as someone who craves the taste of coffee and espresso, Cafe Frida def makes sure all flavors are balanced! I just love when a coffee isn't overtaken by so many different flavors! I already cannot wait to go back! I attend pilates on Wednesday's, so they will def be seeing me again! read more
Stopped by Cafe Frida during a Filipino-hosted Sungka Social event, and it was such a fun experience. It was great seeing people come together, play a childhood favorite, and connect with the community in such a welcoming space. My daughter ordered the White Raspberry Chocolate Matcha, and it was a unique and delicious drink. The matcha flavor was still prominent, while the white chocolate and raspberry added a nice sweetness without overpowering it. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly throughout the event. Definitely a spot I'd return to for both the drinks and the community events! read more

We went to Garland Texas to visit a wholesale shop and stopped at Café Frida to have a little bite before we went shopping. It was the cutest little place ever! It was colorful inviting they had all kinds of different treats, foods, and coffees that we can choose from. I had the avocado toast. I ordered it with some of their most delicious bacon I've ever tasted on top. I also ordered the abuelita iced coffee, and everything just went very well together. I loved that place and I will return! I give that place five stars. read more

This is a hidden gem in downtown Garland and connected to Scoop N Buns, another gem!! The drinks and dessert I ordered were 10/10! The staff were friendly and informative. The atmosphere is casual and the decor is picture worthy...so cute! A nice place to grab a drink, desserts and chill with friends or bring your laptop for a nice, relaxing work day! Definitely recommend and will be back because the business is a vibe! read more

This hidden gem in Garland is the absolute BEST!!! First, it's the most adorable cozy spot. So bright with color and plants - terrific vibe. The breakfast sandwich was top notch and the coffee drinks - AMAZING!!! The service was wonderful as well, young lady at the counter was friendly. Even when I accidentally dropped my drink and she had to help me clean up. Can't wait to get back for some delicious coffee. read more

I love drinking coffee so I like to try different coffee spots anywhere I go. This place by far is my favorite coffee shop. I ordered from their Spring specials and I got a Mazapán Fresita latte-- sooooo delicious. The cold foam was strawberry flavored and the coffee tasted so rich with a soft mazapán flavor. The setting is gorgeous and the baristas were quick to make my order with it being so busy. I'm definitely coming back. read more
This is the cutest coffee shop in all of DFW. I wish I knew about it sooner. I think this will be my new fave spot to craft or do some work. The decor is really vibrant and I love the frida feel, very inspiring space to do creative work. I was drawn to the speciality drinks but they only came iced and it was a little drizzly outside and I wanted something hot. So I got the signature Frida Matcha Latte and boy I wasn't disappointed at all! The mexican vanilla + spices gave the drink a very unique flavor! I also got a ham and cheese pastry and it paired with the matcha latte perfectly. I also got a free sample of barria tacos from the food truck outside and I loved it so much, I ended up getting some tacos afterwards! This cafe ticked all the boxes for me: cozy spot to do some creative work, inspiring environment, hot drinks, and savory pastries. I saw that there was also a window to the ice cream shop next door, I'll have to come back to have some of that next time! read more

This place is a VIBE, and I'm here for it! It's both chill and colorful at the same time! Perfect if you wanna meet up with friends or family. There's lots of comfortable seating, there's fresh plants, lots of artwork and really unique lighting. The service was friendly and helpful. The menu has so many unique options, plus a fun seasonal menu. I loved my iced coffee, I got the galleta, but slightly less sweet. I also had the everything avocado toast, and they did not skimp on the avocado and toppings! My sister in law got an Ube Matcha, which was great too. If you want a little cafe oasis, this is your new stop. I will definitely be back! read more
Yelp fam, this is DEFINITELY one to check out! Its just the overall happy vibe that is giving this place 5 stars. Literally encapsulates the energy of Casa Azúl in Mexico. You go through this unmarked, discrete yellow door, into a literal garden oasis to the sounds of Kali Uchis playing. Everything just felt so right. My galleta latte, steeper in price, but considering how much they packed into my cup, worth the $7. It was almost overflowing from Biscoff crumbs and froth. The best part was IT WASNT OVERLY SWEET WOOOHOOO. I've come to appreciate that more and more as I age lol. Service was average but girl was sweet and called out my name for my drink. I've been to Scoop N' Buns before but I didn't realize that they had a cafe connected to it. The decorations inside were gorgeous with lots of ambient lighting. Good amount of seatings and outlets here and there for people who want to get work done. I do wish that Scoop N' Buns and Frida played the same music though. It was funny to be listening to One Direction and chill music at the same time, made it a little hard to study but nothing headphones can't fix. I got the Vietnamese Coffee with Ube foam today. Coffee was pretty strong but I don't know if it was just me but I didn't really taste much of the Ube flavor. Maybe the coffee's bitterness overpowered it or I'm just used to a different ratio of Ube in my drinks. But overall, it was good! The only thing is that it took a while for my drink to come out, around 15 minutes. Could be because they had loads of other drinks ahead of mine but I didn't mind it too much due to the fact that I've had to wait for much longer at other places. Overall, I think that this place could be a really cute hang out spot with your friends. If you're planning on studying, I'd recommend bringing headphones in case the music overlaps or when it gets busier! read more

I met up with some friends for a "this and yap" while back in Dallas at Cafe Frida in Garland. It is part of a Filipino icecream shop called Scoop n Buns. We were the first ones there and the inside was beautifully decorated. I really loved the vibe here. I had such a hard time deciding what to drink too. I ended up getting their galleta specialty latte, which includes cookie butter and biscoff crumbs. The drink came out very fast as well. Honestly, I didn't really taste the cookie butter or biscoff flavor but I still really liked the coffee. This coffee is a bit on the sweeter side as well. They have a special menu that they rotate every month/season. I want to come back later to try more drinks read more

This is a hidden gem in Garland, it's connected to Scoop N' Buns! The drinks I tried were amazing and the ice cream was yummy! It was my first time trying ube and it's my new fav, purple yam deliciousness! The staff were friendly and informative. The atmosphere was very casually cute! It's decorated so nice, such a cool vibe for pictures and a quiet workspace. There's drinks, desserts and local retail for purchase. Will definitely go back and highly recommend! read more

this is a cute + chill place to grab a coffee it's definitely a trek from dallas proper, but worth a visit if you want to hangout there for a while. the service was friendly and fast. i ordered the horchata latte (w/ oat milk, duh) and because the stars lined up for me, i was able to get one of the frida pastries. i visited on frida's bday definitely recommended read more
