Tiger Creme Brûlée tea and Thai Milk Tea next to an aesthetically decorative wall
    Danny T.

I'm really appreciating the growth of bubble tea shops in the Dallas area. Teazentea is a Taiwanese inspired shop originally from California established back in 2016. Their passion caused them to grow and eventually establish a location in Garland, TX. Walking in and seeing the aesthetic of the place immediately felt inviting. They have the option to place your order on a kiosk if you don't feel like chatting with the workers. We ordered the Tiger creme brûlée tea without boba and Thai Milk Tea with boba, both with regular sugar and light ice. The initial sip of both drinks were both met with a very sweet taste. The Tiger creme brûlée included a gelatinous creme brûlée jelly. I wasn't a fan of the gelatinous consistency, especially since the tea was too sweet for my palate. I would recommend ordering the drink with half sugar because it think it would bring about better balance for all the elements of the drink. The vibes are great! Definitely a great location to bring a friend and hang out for an hour or two. Although the drink preparation took longer than most bubble tea locations, the quality is still very high.

I just experienced the worst experience I've ever had at TeaZenTea today. I'm not sure if they got a new owner, but Mi (her name) was extremely rude to me. I came in because their Instagram post said it was BOGO all day. The post only specified that the first 50 people get the tumbler, but it said ALL DAY for the BOGO event (11AM-10AM). I waited in line, and when it was my turn, I asked if the BOGO was still happening, and she said no that was only the first 50 ppl. Confused by the post, I read it again and it did not state that it was the first 50 (besides for the tumbler). She agreed to let me get my BOGO, but then turned away and made me wait 20 mins before I could order my drink despite being last in line at the time. I was being considerate and said sure, but thinking back, I think she just picked on me for no reason just to get me that "BOGO" special. For the first time in all my experience at TeaZenTea, she charged me extra for the boba for my ube taro cream brulee. I ALWAYS went here for that drink and never in the last year that I have to pay extra for boba topping because it was included every time. But okay, maybe new management whatever. Then, she made me pay using Zelle or cash, which is super shady for a business that just "re-opened". When one of the workers was handling me a tumbler, she walked over and yanked it from his hand and said I'm not allowed to have it because I already got BOGO. There were 5 customers before me and I watched them get one from her until me. This felt like discrimination and I was super angry at that point. It's not my fault that their Instagram post was misleading about this event and I should not be penalized for it. I've been a regular fan of this boba shop but I don't think I'll step foot back here because of the new management. Very disappointed.

The place is really clean and organized, I Iike their comfortable furnitures. The lady behind the counter was sweet, but there are some things that they could improve on the shop. When I came in, I realized the menu was on the side of the wall. It was really hard trying to order while looking at the menu. The lady ended up giving me a small paper menu. It'll be great if there's a laminated menu on the counter for people to see the menu while ordering. She then proceeds to take my order but then started having technical issues. The system didn't let me pay and she was trying to figure it out for a good minute. I could tell she was getting a bit stressed out since she was the only one there. It would have helped if she had another person to support her. I ended up using Zelle since the system wouldn't cooperate. She did handle it the best she could even when another customer came in at that time too. She tried to fix the system and make people drinks at the same time. I wasn't in a rush and I told her it's fine when she kept apologizing. The strawberry matcha latte... I did not like it. It tasted like I was just drinking milk with a bit of strawberry in it. I did not taste any matcha. At least now I know not to get this drink again if I revisit. I also got the pink dragon for my fiancé but he didn't drink it yet but hopefully it's better than my choice.

Such a nice quaint tea shop with thoughtful and friendly staff. The waffles are a must try, and there is a variety of drinks to choose from. They also offer some alternatives of milk if one needs it.

Great service and Deborah is very knowledgeable and a great boba barista! I got the brown sugar matcha w boba -25% sweetness. The wife got a guava tea. This place has a LOT of comfortable clean velvet seating. TEAZENTEA would be a great comfortable, cool place to hangout and do homework. It is also locally owned and small business so its great to support small business.

This fairly new boba shop in garland is nice. I ordered from a kiosk and got a taro black milk tea with lychee jelly. It was a pretty good drink. Tasted sweet and kind of like cereal milk. Loved it!

I feel like I need to make it a mission to try everything on their menu. Sooooo many options!! I love that they cover both aesthetics and taste with these drinks. And the Tea Waffle is amazing! I always order one because it is a wonderful treat and snack. So far the drinks are always perfection, even the simple milk tea is just so tasty. With the amount of options and combos they have, it's gotta be impossible not to find something. But that also means it's so hard to pick one!!

2024 Liquid News Update! Lost count of how many times I've been here now. What I love? They're always working on new drinks for special occasions, holidays and overall a great way to maintain customer loyalty & a level of competitiveness. New Drinks I've had... * Honey Lemon Black Tea (Iced) 5 Stars: Such a nostalgic drink from 10 years ago. Super hard to find a shop that can get the balance right. Probably one of my favorite drinks. It's refreshing, with just the right amount of honey-lemon-Black tea ratio. * Egg Coffee: 5 Stars! Glad it's finally at a Bubble Tea Shop in DFW. It's Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk & whipped Egg Yolks. Yes, egg yolks. Now before you kick it to the curb, give it a shot, unless you're allergic to eggs. After you shake it 20x times like your life depends on it, you'll taste the balance of Robusta Beans with a creamy texture & wish you had more. Some Pho places have this, but it's much smaller in a 12oz glass. * Mocha w/Creme Brûlée: 5 Stars again! I rarely give fives, but it's no doubt at the top my list. What's there not to like. It's coffee & Ghirardelli Chocolate and now with Creme Brûlée. If there's one thing, that definitely stands against other Bubble tea shops, the workers are actually happy & don't run with a "I hate my job" attitude, especially when the bosses aren't around. Good people definitely contribute to the experience. Kudos to management.

Freedom Drink with lychee jelly on the left Matcha Crème Brûlée with Boba on right
    Vivian L.

Small Vietnamese locally owned shop in Garland! Very clean and aesthetic inside and the menu is HUGE with so many different mouth watering choices. Today I got the Matcha Crème Brûlée with Boba and my brother got a Freedom Drink with butterfly tea, strawberry syrup and milk +lychee jelly. Both drinks were delicious, the owner served us and was so kind and wonderful Service was spectacular, and the ambience of the shop is perfect for studying!

dragon fruit lemonade and strawberry summer fresher
    Amanda L.

New boba place yay! Came for their grand opening. Got the dragon fruit summer refresher and the strawberry summer refresher (usually 5.99 each). The strawberry summer was a green tea base with I preferred over the dragon fruit which was a lemonade base. Got the boba and the strawberry heart jelly. Boba quality is solid but the strawberry heart jelly (although very cute) was slightly too large for the straw so you had to suck extra hard. Service was surprisingly fast considering how busy they were. The also had samples of the ube and pandan waffles which was a nice touch. Drinks are pretty but like others said price is a bit higher (toppings .75) but the size is larger. I would go back here if I was in the area.

It's Teazentea's first day back open after their remodel. I had to drive all the way here to check it out. Place is gorgeous and the workers were kind. They're still working out all the kinks so please be patient. The drink menu is extensive here and there's bound to be something for anyone. You can also customize ice levels, sweetness, toppings, and type of milk that is used. I got the Okinawa smoothie after the lady at the front recommended it to me over the matcha smoothie while my father got the Avocado smoothie with half sugar. Both of our drinks were delicious and the honey boba had the right amount of bite to it. I know other places do Okinawa milk teas, but I've never seen or heard of anyone who makes Okinawa smoothies. It had a unique sweetness that Okinawa milk tea is known for from the brown sugar sauce, but it didn't have that tea aftertaste in the smoothie which I preferred. I asked my father how his avocado smoothie was and he ended up finishing it before we got to the golf course Since today was their grand reopening, they had a bogo promotion and were pretty swamped. The lady, younger miss, and guy in the back worked through the orders like champs. Despite all the chaos the place was also clean too. Teazentea is kind of far from me, but if I'm in the area I will probably stop by for another Okinawa smoothie. Not sure if it was just today or not, but it was cash or Zelle only for now.

So I want to start off by saying the lady that took our order was rude. We were asking her questions and she was looking at us like just hurry up and order and stop asking me questions. Not very nice. Secondly we get our drinks and I felt like I was drinking milk with boba. We ordered the Vietnamese coffee with 25%sweet so it should had tasted pretty strong but no it wasn't it was just milk. Won't be coming back here.

Mango Summer - no mango flavor, tasted like water but maybe that's cause of the 90% cup filled with ice

***UPDATE*** After visiting this location several more times, I felt compelled to update my review…read more Now, the store itself still lacks the professional layout and feel to it, but I have to say, the smoothies these guys have been turning out are damn near perfect! Perfect blend ratio, perfect flavor, and perfect timing. Let me start by saying I am a pretty big Smoothie King visitor around the Metroplex. Nothing beats a well blended, protein packed, cold served dose of smoothie goodness. Anyways I had a hankering for a Chocolate Peanut Power Plus smoothie today and decided to stop at this particular location which I have never visited before. First impressions...the store itself seemed very old and dirty. It didn't have that usual "POP" that I am accustomed to when I enter a Smoothie King. After I entered and took in my initial surrounding I realized that I was alone in this store! Now as a guest who was just trying to satisfy his smoothie cravings, this was quite a shock! What was I supposed to do? Jump behind the counter and start whipping up a frozen treat with little to no training in the smoothie arts? I don't think so! I come to Smoothie King for the professional smoothie blending skills of their highly trained employees. After a few minutes of me awkwardly looking around, peering into the CCTV, and generally wondering what life choice led me to this unfortunate karma of being alone in a Smoothie King, a friendly gentleman appeared from the back of the store. Well I brushed off this initial poor display of customer service and issued my order to said employee. He graciously accepted my order and proceeded to make my protein packed nourishment. After I ordered I proceeded to the check out area only to find the most unprofessional of displays across the register and credit card swiper. This put the finishing touches on a less than extraordinary experience at this Smoothie King location. If you like dirty stores, untimely customer service, and unprofessional businesses than this place is for you! Otherwise...probably just go up the highway to the next location. Oh yeah...the smoothie was just alright.

Kinda rude, smoothies kinda bad. There are definitely better locations, sorry. Probably won't be…read moreback. Bad food, I can deal with on occasion, but I don't like rude people.
