The owner was very friendly and accommodating my "unreasonable requests" very nicely. I mistakenly order the wrong drinks, once I received the drinks, they didn't look right so I thought they took my orders wrong, but it was my wife who sent me the wrong orders. They were quick to make new orders and gave me all four drinks. I felt so bad and wanted to pay for all four, but the owner didn't let me. The drink I really love is the kiwi basil seed drink. My son also loves it so I will get one and share it with him. I love Feng Cha! Well, I really just love the Garland location. When Feng Cha first touched down in DFW in Richardson -- I fell in love but their drinks have been trending downhill. I'm really glad this Garland location opened up because the drinks here are top notch. We actually stopped by another bubble tea place before this but it was so disgusting we literally threw it out (YES we threw away $10 worth of bubble tea!) to come to Feng Cha. Just like every ABG (Asian Boba Girl) out there, I've had a LOT of bubble tea but Feng Cha Garland is definitely in my top 3. What stands out about Feng Cha is they don't use syrups and strive to use quality ingredients and fresh fruits. I'm currently in a brown sugar milk phase so I had to get their "Dirty Boba" which not only looks good but tastes good. The brown sugar milk was just sweet enough and accompanied by plenty of soft, chewy boba. The boba were all cooked to perfection -- texture 5/5. They really don't skimp here. When I'm looking for something more healthy then I go for their fruit teas. I have a soft spot in my heart for Feng Cha Garland. Not only are their drinks a 5/5, their staff is incredibly sweet. This is officially my favorite boba place! I got the Matcha Breeze, creme brûlée dirty boba, purple reign and citrus lord. My favorite was creme brûlée dirty boba! I accidentally forgot about my drink for about 2 hours and the boba was still super soft and delicious and chewy! This is so unlike other boba stores that I have gone to, where if you don't drink the boba by 5 mins ,the boba gets super hard and there is no flavor. The milk cap was super creamy and rich! And the drink was delicious! The purple reign was something my friend got, and I was suspicious at first if this was going to be good, but it was my top fav boba drink so far! Feng Cha in Garland recently reopened and I am thrilled. The store is taking the appropriate precautions during the pandemic. There are 6 ft markers for the customers to practice social distancing. Everyone on staff is wearing masks and there are plenty of hand sanitizer available. I ordered a cake and a few drinks to taste. First, sea salt milk pearl cake! The cake was like a pound cake, super soft and not too sweet! The sea salt foam gave a great balance of salty and sweet. Plus, boba pearls on top was a bonus. The owner was so helpful and recommended the Purple Reign to me. It's made of grapes and yogurt; I liked it because it was hot to heavy and the grapes were a great flavor. Other drinks ordered were the Black Milk Tea and the Overflowing Grapefruit. I love the variety at Feng Cha. Whether you are looking for fruity, milky, hot or cold, there is a drink for you. Lastly, I mentioned before but the staff is amazing. Everyone is friendly, helpful and attentive to the customers. I definitely will be coming back for more. Fend Cha opened a new location in Garland and this one has desserts too! They opened last week and are still in their soft opening phase. I heard that grand opening is next week. For me, personally, I don't judge a restaurant's service until a week or two after grand opening because the staff is likely still training to keep up with demand of the customer volume. That being said, the service wasn't that slow if you took this into account. There were 10 people there and it took about 10 minutes to get my drink and cake. If this is the worst that it's going to be and the staff will pick up the pace as they get used to their job, then that's really not too bad. The interior has plenty of seating for 3 large groups and a bunch of smaller groups. There are some games on the shelf by the register to keep your party occupied while you're there, whether waiting for your order or consuming it. The only downside to the interior arrangement was that the order pick up spot is on the other side of the register and the longer tables are right in front of the register. Once traffic picks up, and there are people waiting for their order by the door while there's a line of folks waiting to order combined with large groups seated by the register, then it could potentially get pretty congested by the register. I ordered the Taro Breeze which is like an icy taro milkshake/smoothie. It is caffeine-free so it won't keep me up all night. The flavor of the taro was really strong and natural. The ice was crushed finely and was milky smooth. It wasn't too sweet and I'm told that this was one of the less sweet ones. Great choice aside from me, accidentally, once again choosing a frozen drink on a cold day. I also ordered the Strawberry Princess dessert cake. This is my favorite cake at Feng Cha. It is basically a strawberry short cake covered in milk foam, strawberry sauce, and fresh strawberries. Every location make their cakes just a bit differently if they have them. Here, the texture of the cake portion was closer to a regular cake that you can get at an Asian bakery. The cake overall wasn't too sweet and was kind of sour which complemented the sweetness of my drink. The foam sauce was thick and not too runny. The cake is placed inside a low-wall container plate thing (great idea!) to keep the sauce from running away. The prices are reasonable. Drinks are $4-5, depending on size. From the taste and look, you can tell that the strawberry was fresh. The drink had a perfect amount of natural sweetness from the strawberry unlike other drinks which may have a sugary taste to it. If you like refreshing fruit tea you should try the jasmine green apple and strawberry overload. I like the strawberry a lot, it's a mix of sour and sweet with actually pieces of fresh strawberry. The green apple is more on the sour side. Boba is good and chewy. Good price considering the quality. About 5$ per drink without toppings. Haven't tried their breeze series yet. my friends recommend ordering 30% sweet for those. Parking lot is spacious. They have outdoor seating as well if you're afraid of Covid. I made a 2nd visit, and staff was very glad to see me. I ordered a Kiwi Basil Green Tea ( less sweet ) with Boba. From the desserts, I chose Tiramisú Treasure. This is a "foam cake" served in a small tray with a flavored topping poured-over, 2 KitKat bars, then dusted with powdered chocolate. I enjoyed both treats while relaxing in a comfortable chair. The Richardson location is slightly bigger. The newer Garland location is a cozy corner spot, with nice interior. Plenty of parking spaces, in a quiet shopping center with a Tom Thumb market. Feng Cha spot was a Starbucks before. Starbucks moved across the street to have a drive-thru lane. The quality and price match up well at Feng Cha. For me, a special treat visit, not a daily stop. I stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon and decided to try this place out. We went in and there was only 1 person ahead of us and 3 employees working so service was quick. They have many different categories of drinks, however only 4 or so different toppings at 50¢ a piece. This time I tried basil kiwi green tea and my girlfriend tried their bursting dragon fruit tea. We opted for the large size as it is 700mL(200mL more than the small) for only 50¢ more. Additionally I added in boba and she added in lychee jelly to hers. Honestly if it wasn't for the toppings we pay extra for, these teas aren't good. I ordered both of these normal sweetness and they just taste like sour generic tea. My kiwi tea has like the most minuscule amount of kiwi flavor and barely any sweetness. If I didn't know I ordered kiwi, I don't think I would be able to taste it. The sweet boba I paid is what makes it ok. The dragonfruit was richer in flavor and sweeter but still underwhelming. It doesn't have as much richness as I would have expected from all the other boba places I have tried before. Again the lychee jelly is what made it alright. TLDR; Overall this experience was pretty underwhelming and left me disappointed. I ended up paying $12 for 2 drinks and I don't think it was in any way worth that cost. I think it is cool how they have a different variety of flavors you don't see much else where but I didn't enjoy it personally. Maybe I'll come back and try different ones next time. Feng Cha definitely has the flavors that only a boba-addict would enjoy like - cheese or matcha foam so variety is definitely there! Not sure if it's because they're still new, the waiting time is quite slow. I wouldn't recommend it if you were in a rush or on your lunch break. I waited 20 minutes for two drinks which is quite a wait. I've also ordered a second round of drinks before and the employees ignored me for some minutes, they must've thought I was going to complain or was waiting for a order, when she finally came over, she asked the people next to me if they had ordered when I haven't even ordered.
