I go to this place about 4 times a week and while I do appreciate ordering online and it being ready for pickup , they are often down right rude. It's also very sketchy that they have their C4 preworkout listed for sale (3 rows in the cooler) at $2.99 and rings up $4. It's only an extra dollar yes I understand but that's a 33% additional cost which adds up when you buy 5 or so a week. The real issue is that I've mentioned this to them at least 5 times and they blow it off every time. So figured I would warn my fellow c4 consumers. Moving from CA where there are so many smoothie shops and juice bars it was hard to not crave one...especially when it's starting to get hot here! Of course I had to look up a smoothie place. Any Jamba juice is 10 miles away from here. So instead I just searched for 'smoothies' and one other place and Smoothie King happened to pop up. The other place was closed so we chose SK instead. It is half the distance to a Jamba Juice and it seemed interesting so we decided to check it out. It is in N. Garland in a little plaza with Witch Wich, a Thai noodle place and next to a tanning salon. My first impression when we walked in was that it had way more flavor options than JJ, and was geared towards working out lifestyle. I liked that a lot. It is sort of hard to eat healthy around here where we live than it was in OC, CA. Don't get me wrong--we enjoyed some really good Texan food, and the Southern cooking is delicious but I was really trying to find some healthier options around here without having to drive 20-30 mins out. I usually get greens but today I felt like something banana and protein so I got the small original banana protein shake which was still a 20oz ($5-6). It was alright. My husband got a nuts and grain one which tasted like peanut butter and was yummy. My son got a Lil angel kids size drink($3-4) which was basically a strawberry and banana smoothie. I like that they have meal replacement smoothies, which mine was. They have different flavors that other smoothie places don't offer like coffee or different types of veggies which I will def get next time. They also carry protein powders and bars, healthy snacks, and other things for a fit lifestyle. Service at first was ok. We weren't greeted until I said hi but they were nice later on. Not a big deal for us since we are sort of used to it in CA but for some people here it might be a deal breaker since everyone is so friendly over here! Will be back to try other stuff! read more

I order the Vegan mango kale smoothie with no bananas and no subs for the bananas. it's really a simple order, i can order it at multiple other locations with no complaints or eyes being rolled, but the on N garland ave anytime i order it, one of the workers not sure if its the owner or manager. he complains about my order everytime, i even heard him tell the other person who was making my order not do ever do it like that again. I understand without bananas makes the smoothie more liquid and not as thick, but if im asking for it a certain way, why are you going to fight me on what i like? This location is in a shopping center right next to a Palm Beach tan. I haven't been to a smoothie king in years and out of the blue I got a random craving. I love that you can view the nutrition facts to know how much sugar and fat is in each smoothie. They have a good mix of basic fruit smoothies to protein packed smoothies! The employees were decent. Not extremely friendly but not rude. The store itself was kept very clean! Overall a decent place to stop and grab a smoothie. read more

***UPDATE*** After visiting this location several more times, I felt compelled to update my review. Now, the store itself still lacks the professional layout and feel to it, but I have to say, the smoothies these guys have been turning out are damn near perfect! Perfect blend ratio, perfect flavor, and perfect timing. Let me start by saying I am a pretty big Smoothie King visitor around the Metroplex. Nothing beats a well blended, protein packed, cold served dose of smoothie goodness. Anyways I had a hankering for a Chocolate Peanut Power Plus smoothie today and decided to stop at this particular location which I have never visited before. First impressions...the store itself seemed very old and dirty. It didn't have that usual "POP" that I am accustomed to when I enter a Smoothie King. After I entered and took in my initial surrounding I realized that I was alone in this store! Now as a guest who was just trying to satisfy his smoothie cravings, this was quite a shock! What was I supposed to do? Jump behind the counter and start whipping up a frozen treat with little to no training in the smoothie arts? I don't think so! I come to Smoothie King for the professional smoothie blending skills of their highly trained employees. After a few minutes of me awkwardly looking around, peering into the CCTV, and generally wondering what life choice led me to this unfortunate karma of being alone in a Smoothie King, a friendly gentleman appeared from the back of the store. Well I brushed off this initial poor display of customer service and issued my order to said employee. He graciously accepted my order and proceeded to make my protein packed nourishment. After I ordered I proceeded to the check out area only to find the most unprofessional of displays across the register and credit card swiper. This put the finishing touches on a less than extraordinary experience at this Smoothie King location. If you like dirty stores, untimely customer service, and unprofessional businesses than this place is for you! Otherwise...probably just go up the highway to the next location. I have been going here for years and they still have the same staff and very involved owners (even after a change a year ago!) In my opinion it's a good sign when staff is consistent. I was just scolded by the owner of this establishment for using a coupon that I had redeemed from my North Texas Toll Road account for 600 points. I had used one previously at this location and today was told that the coupon is a one use only per customer, like for my lifetime. Interesting that the terms and conditions state, one coupon per visit per customer. Nothing about only one per customer, ever. He states people are just printing them off and abusing him. I totally resent his comment as I have redeemed every coupon, for points in my account and used the program as intended. They serve yummie smoothies here- but they come at a pretty penny. I personally drink smoothies as meals often, so it doesn't affect me as much, but it gets to my friends! i came in here today with no knowledge of smoothie king whatsoever i just wanted a regular healthy smoothie that didn't taste like grass. the gentlemen who worked their was really helpful, he asked me what were some of my favorite fruits, was i looking for a meal replacement etc etc. i told him i liked mangoes and he recommended me a mango smoothie with kale i was a bit hesitant but i trusted him, after i received my HUGE smoothie i tasted it and i loved it it tasted amazing! he asked me if i liked it to make sure i left happy. overall it was a super pleasant experience and the guy told me what tasted good and what didn't taste good i really appreciated his honesty and i will definitely be back to try more smoothies! read more
