Customer Service was truly displayed at the Allen, TX location by Will and Anthony. Upon entering,…read morethey greeted me immediately with smiles and cheery voices. Will, a new employee, asked how he could help. He proceeded to answer my questions and give recommendations. Will was sincere and caring towards every customer that came in the store. I could tell he genuinely cared. This was my very first visit and I thought there were a variety of choices. It was clean and you could tell Anthony, the manager, took pride in his store. Quality, cleanliness, and service defined The Vitamin Shoppe in Allen, TX. Thank you, Will and Anthony!

We took advantage of the email we received from The Vitamin Shoppe for "non-contact curbside…read morepickup" during COVID-19 since we are seniors. Unfortunately, once we arrived in front of the store we called the staff to let them know we were right outside their store to pickup our online order. No one ever answered the phone. We called again, the phone kept ringing and ringing, we sat in our car a few more minutes and called again. We could see there was an employee in the store and one customer. The store was pretty empty. We tried calling one more time. The phone rang several times before we walked in the store with our cell phone in our hand as it continued to ring on our phone as well as in the store. I asked the salesman why wasn't he answering the phone. His response " I'm busy." WOW!!! Ok... well, my husband and I let him know we placed our order online for "non-contact curbside pickup" but since he wasn't answering the phone because he was busy we were going to pick out our products we paid for online and we'd be on our way. At this time the salesman was the only other person in the store other than ourselves. We took our products to the front counter, he verified on his computer our names and that we paid for our order online. My husband had to ask him for a bag. We've always loved shopping at this location. We've never seen Austin before. Maybe he's still in training. The guys that usually work here were not in the store. I asked him why was he working alone. He said that around 5:00pm it's busy since their hours for closing during COVID-19 changed to 6:00pm. I made a suggestion that during the busiest time of the day they may consider having at least two staff members, this would help with also servicing their non-contact curbside pickup orders. His response, "The manager is in the back on his lunch break." At this point we didn't know what to say. We felt this was rather late to be on your lunch break. We were there between 5:00pm and 5:15pm. We are all trying to be understanding. This is a new experience for all of us. I've given 5 stars to say, let's extend grace and understanding for one another. We need to come together! We are better and stronger together!"

I'm shocked by what I experienced tonight(11/21) at 8pm at The Vitamin Shoppe but not surprised…read more This is now the second time I've had an issue with the same employee regarding their price-match policy. According to Vitamin Shoppe's own website, they will match select competitors' prices with proof including Amazon. Another employee previously honored price matching without any problem so I thought it would be the same tonight. Instead, this employee told me he "couldn't price match" and to "come back tomorrow," which is exactly what he said the last time. During the conversation, he asked why I didn't just order from Amazon. I explained that I preferred to buy it now using the price match and had him to pull up one of my previous price match receipts. His response made me feel like he thought I was trying to get something for free in which he later stated I was trying to get something for "free"which is completely false since I was paying for the product. When I questioned that comment, he escalated out of nowhere and threatened to call the police, accusing me of "hollering," which was absolutely false. I even told him to review the cameras because what he was saying was untrue. After mentioning that I would be contacting corporate, he suddenly decided he could complete the price match after all. I even told him I didn't want him to get in trouble if he was unsure about the policy but it was surprising how quickly things changed once corporate was mentioned. Before leaving, I asked if everything was good. His response made it clear it wasn't, so I simply wished him a good evening. He walked away without saying a word. This whole situation was completely unnecessary. I hope Vitamin Shoppe provides better training so customers aren't treated this way especially when all we're doing is following the policy that their company publicly states.
