We took advantage of the email we received from The Vitamin Shoppe for "non-contact curbside pickup" during COVID-19 since we are seniors. Unfortunately, once we arrived in front of the store we called the staff to let them know we were right outside their store to pickup our online order. No one ever answered the phone. We called again, the phone kept ringing and ringing, we sat in our car a few more minutes and called again. We could see there was an employee in the store and one customer. The store was pretty empty. We tried calling one more time. The phone rang several times before we walked in the store with our cell phone in our hand as it continued to ring on our phone as well as in the store. I asked the salesman why wasn't he answering the phone. His response " I'm busy." WOW!!! Ok... well, my husband and I let him know we placed our order online for "non-contact curbside pickup" but since he wasn't answering the phone because he was busy we were going to pick out our products we paid for online and we'd be on our way. At this time the salesman was the only other person in the store other than ourselves. We took our products to the front counter, he verified on his computer our names and that we paid for our order online. My husband had to ask him for a bag. We've always loved shopping at this location. We've never seen Austin before. Maybe he's still in training. The guys that usually work here were not in the store. I asked him why was he working alone. He said that around 5:00pm it's busy since their hours for closing during COVID-19 changed to 6:00pm. I made a suggestion that during the busiest time of the day they may consider having at least two staff members, this would help with also servicing their non-contact curbside pickup orders. His response, "The manager is in the back on his lunch break." At this point we didn't know what to say. We felt this was rather late to be on your lunch break. We were there between 5:00pm and 5:15pm. We are all trying to be understanding. This is a new experience for all of us. I've given 5 stars to say, let's extend grace and understanding for one another. We need to come together! We are better and stronger together!" read more

I arrived at 8:25, and as one customer was on their way out, I was met at the door by a woman who blocked my entrance into the store by telling me that they close at 8:30, what do I want? She then restated we close at 8:30 and proceeded to shut the door. I knew what I wanted, but her response was consult your doctor. (?) I tried calling the store after getting into my car hoping that maybe I could leave a voicemail of my experience with store management, but that wasn't an option. I know this woman has worked at the store for quite some time. She has never been well versed on products. Seems like y'all are having a hard time getting good help, or you need to do better . read more

Customer Service was truly displayed at the Allen, TX location by Will and Anthony. Upon entering, they greeted me immediately with smiles and cheery voices. Will, a new employee, asked how he could help. He proceeded to answer my questions and give recommendations. Will was sincere and caring towards every customer that came in the store. I could tell he genuinely cared. This was my very first visit and I thought there were a variety of choices. It was clean and you could tell Anthony, the manager, took pride in his store. This is my almost fave location. Staff is great. I saw some reviews about poor customer service and I understand. In the past, there were a few that should not be in the customer service field working there. Now, they are pretty dang great. Returns are instant. I am always greeted with a smile. I spend a lot $ at this location. Keep in mind when you enter a health supplement store, not every employee knows every ingredient in every product on the shelves. Vitamin Shoppe as a whole, is by far, in my opinion, the greatest franchise. read more

This place was my third attempt at finding a store that had liquid kelp. The knowledgeable staff had me fixed up in no time after a phone call to confirm that they had it. The store is well lit, organized and seems to have a wide selection of goods. It feels a little more upscale than GNC, but the prices seem similar. If there's a knock on this place, it's a little hard to get in and out of, particularly the latter if you're needing to head back to US 75. Still, it seems like a good place, check it out if you're in need of their products. read more

Very well stocked place for health/vitamin needs and the staff was really helpful. They weren't trying to push the most expensive thing on the shelves, we talked about what we wanted and they helped us find the best bang for our buck. This store is incredible. They have everything you need and more, all with prices cheaper then ultimate nutrition, GNC, and Whole Foods. Also if you are unhappy with anything they let you exchange it no questions asked, open or closed and even used. Get the rewards card you it is well worth it. I like this store very much. They usually have the supplements I need. I like that on most visits, I am greeted as soon as I walk in, and that they make themselves quickly available to find whatever supplement I need. What I also like is that they have some supplements that are not offered at other stores. The staff is usually knowledgeable about what is available, so you don't have to wait to find out if something is in stock. read more

One of the better vitamin shopee location I had been to! The staffs here are very welcoming as you walk in and very knowledgeable and honest with questions I had about products. As a power lifter and avid athlete. I try to keep up with vitamins and necessary supplements to keep my body fueled properly. Yes, it is one of many V.S. Stores you can goto but walking in to a place and the staffs recognizing you make you want to come back for more. And this is the location. I went in this location this evening, I usually shop at this location and one of the men working was extremely rude. I asked about a product and the cashier checking out was nice and helpful but was not 100% he asked the other coworker if he had any input and the other man would not even turn around to help( not even a glance over his shoulder)and answered the question very rudely and kept doing whatever he was doing while sitting down. I got the product anyways because ive used it before.And as soon as I checked out and started walking out the door the rude man finally got up and started talking to the cashier. This will be my last time at this location. Very unprofessional. I'm very familiar on how you are suppose to treat customers and he did not help at all! I came to this store in November 2011 - I asked where the protein shakes were and the staff - all staying at the front by the registers - just pointed me to the wall where they were. There was a step stool for customers to pick the items in higher shelves - which I did and fell when getting off of it - broke my ankle and neck - 6 months to recover - the manager was prompt in calling the ambulance and their insurance. When my husband went there next morning to fetch my car, they had removed all step stools - and I got a call from their adjuster telling me that they would pay up to a certain amount of the medical care... to cut the story short: they only paid part of the medical care and my insurance does not want to pay for the rest of it - I was unemployed at the time and they cut unemployment benefits, I lost 2 opportunities for interviews because I could not drive and when I got a job 3 months later, I was still doing treatment for my neck injury, which cause me to be laid off... in the end, I have this huge medical bill and loss and they refuse my claims - do not recommend - they also lied when they said that the step stools were for employees only - my husband and neighbor saw that they had removed them, but I was not the only client at the store to be helping myself and having to use the step stool... read more
