I don't know that a breakfast bowl could taste so good! I ordered the Farmhouse Bowl which included an over easy egg, hash browns, onions, bacon, and avocado. Each time I took a bite I was amazed at how flavorful it was. The place was packed for Saturday brunch but the service was fast. This is a smaller First Watch location, but the food quality and service is just like any of the larger locations. Angie and her team managed a consistently large crowd with great efficiency and customer service. I dined with my hubby on a Saturday at 11am...which I'm sure is one of their busier times. We were seated immediately (joined the virtual waitlist before leaving home), and had our food within 15-20 mins of sitting down. Can't say enough great things about this place! The food is fresh and flavorful, the options are diverse, the staff is attentive, and the prices are reasonable. The only drawback is everyone else knows this so there was a wait. I had the Chickichanga which had a very nice whipped egg omelet/tortilla shell and it came with a side of fruit and potatoes. There were a lot of potatoes, but they were kind of mushy, not really home style or crispy. I would definitely get again. The fresh beet juice was really refreshing as well and reasonably priced. Why is this place listed as a vegan friendly place? Their menu says they accommodate, but that's not the same as being prepared to serve a vegan menu. There's no vegan options as far as I can see and I don't eat out just to have fruit and potatoes. I can have those at home. Good survival place if you're out voted in your omnivore friend group, but I would never go here willingly until I saw some real effort to make their brunch and dinner vegan too. And Avocado toast is fun, but you can also make that at home in two seconds. read more

So not happy. There's STILL a mask mandate for workers. People are packed in that place like sardines and the workers are not wearing masks. Gonna be a while before I visit your establishment (I only came in for takeout) or any other place in Raleigh where their employees are not wearing masks. read more

The customer service is beyond terrible. When entering the establishment I was not greeted at all. I placed my order online for a smooth pick up. The white lady at the front just stood there and did not greet me as I was right in front of her. Did not ask "How can I help you?" Nothing. Being a native Floridian, I was thrilled to see two locations of First Watch pop up here in Raleigh - I love a little taste of home from time to time. First Watch is the perfect breakfast/brunch spot any day of the week or weekend. Several of my fellow Yeeps have called out the numerous healthy options available, and those are great...but let's get down to brass tacks here: they have about 9 different selections of pancakes that are phenomenal. "Hold the phone, Anne-Marie...ONE pancake is $5. Why in the world..." you might be thinking. I'll tell you why. They're as big as my torso, that's why. I recommend getting one and splitting it with the table...seriously. I also recommend the bacon cheddar if you're having trouble deciding. Add this to your list of places in Raleigh to give a whirl for brunch, no questions asked. read more

I'm always on the lookout for new breakfast spots and was excited to learn about First Watch. I was even more excited to see many positive reviews! My husband and I went today. It was crowded and there was a wait, but I expected that. The front of house team seemed a little harried, but we were seated after about 15 minutes. It was REALLY difficult to decide what to order . . . everything on the menu looked amazing, especially the hashes. I ordered the Harvest Hash which included 2 farm fresh eggs over sweet potatoes, zucchini, onions, and turkey sausage. They promised fresh ingredients and they delivered! It was the tastiest breakfast I've had in a while!I can't wait to go back and try more of their offerings. Prices were fair and the service was friendly as well. I wish I had something positive to say about this place.... But I don't. The food is bland, the food takes too long to come out, the service is marginal (at best), and the décor leaves something to be desired. My mom ordered the French toast and had to use practically the whole bottle of syrup to make it even palatable. My dish, a bacon and avocado hash, was about as boring and flavorless as food can get. The avocado was brown, there was so little bacon you could barely see it, and you certainly couldn't taste it. Potatoes were bland. Scrambled eggs were on top, which I dredged with hot sauce. That helped them a little. The coffee is incredibly weak, and not good at all. Stay away. This place is not good. read more

Today's visit was my third. It was the worst of the three. The waiter seemed busy and he was training someone. The trainee asked what I wanted to drink. I said coffee. The hurried waiter appeared rather quickly with a water jug and glass. I was a bit startled. So I ordered eggs bacon and wheat toast. The waiter came over and said they were out of wheat and offered 7 grain. I asked for sourdough TOAST. The coffee wasn't that good. The toast wasn't toasted. It was barely warm. Slow service / inattentive behavior can be excusable with a busy day, but not with curt and annoyed interactions. -Long wait for seat (fine) -Slow to greet once seated (fine) -Unfriendly, brief initial interaction without even an introduction or more than 3 words and a sour face (not fine) -Cutting off patrons while ordering, still with annoyed expression (not fine) -Long wait for food (fine) -Ignoring table, empty glasses, & trash which was left neatly at the edge of the table (maybe fine if busy, but not for entire meal) -Unapologetic attitude for poor kitchen service, bringing out each of 3 plates separately over 5 minutes (not fine) -Unwillingness to come back even to drop off the check (not fine) Needless to say, server was what some might call something which starts with B. Very poor service. Made comments to manager about this, and when I noted I didn't want anything but to leave my comments, she insisted I wait while a hostess went to the back and brought me $4 worth of vouchers.. needless to say, I will not be coming back to use these $4 worth of vouchers read more

The atmosphere is welcoming, calm, and warm. The staff is always helpful and kind. They all seem to know the menu very well and can help you with recommendations if you're not sure what to get. They've got both the sweet and savory dishes, so you truly can't go wrong. My favorites are the Floridian French toast and the breakfast tacos. Try them! read more

A delightful breakfast option right off of Glenwood Avenue. We visited on a Sunday morning around 9am and were seated promptly. Bright decor; nice patio. Best part of the meal? The coffee pot remained on the table! I tried the cranberry nut oatmeal and substitute the English muffin side for Rye toast with some of the seasonal fig preserve the restaurant was promoting. The fig preserve was really tasty. I know it's a bit of a strange combo (figs + rye) but it worked for me. The oatmeal was HEARTY! Banana, dried cranberries, and pecans. No skimping. In retrospect, I think the oatmeal itself would have been plenty (took some of my toast home). My partner ordered the Market Hash, which he devoured. Would love more vegan breakfast options (a tofu scramble?!) but for our first trip to First Watch, we both left very full and satisfied. We had great service. When my toast first arrived buttered, I didn't have to say more than two words to our server and he already realized the error and promptly took care of it. We will definitely be back! read more

I dined here with a large group after boot camp and I loved the food. The menu was full of healthy items and when I heard hey made fresh kale juice I was in love. The kale juice among with the other juices are made fresh on site. I sucked my kale juice down so fast I had to order another. The blend of kale and cucumbers were perfect. There wasn't a bitter taste to it. I also ordered egg whites and a carrot cake pancake with turkey sausage. Yes I was hungry! The carrot cake pancake taste so good I didn't need any pancake syrup. They restaurant does offer sugar free syrup in case you want that. The eggs were cooked to perfection think and the turkey bacon didn't taste like rubber. This was a perfect dining experience and I loved the seating options/interior decor. The service was exceptional and I will be dining here again soon. read more
