I've eaten here a few times. The food is always tasty. The service is fair, although the staff doesn't seem to really wanna be there. They are not particularly concerned about the presentation of their food. Sometimes you have to get over the look of the food and try and enjoy it anyway. read more

My wife and I waited 20 minutes to be seated at a dirty table, they cleaned in front of us .. okay..the service was really slow, server apologized but wouldn't show priority, like she's bussing a table after she delivered our app and had no plates to eat from, had to ask someone else for the plates, opened silverware and it was dirty, server said eww. And replaced it okay, food comes out, I get the brisket meal they had on the menu and she brings it with no meat, when I asked about it it was just brought in a small container. Isn't that supposed to be cooked all together ??? All and all a horrible experience I didn't even finished my food since the experience took my hunger away. We got there told a 30 min wait. We waited an hour. We sat down and we're told the kitchen was running behind so it would be 20 mins. An hour and twenty minutes sitting at our table still no food. Many people sat after us and got their food and left. No explanation, except disorganized and definitely poor management. Food was mediocre and not hot. The manager never apologized for lousy service and food. After food was delivered the manger went and ate her breakfast ‍. Can't make this stuff up! I could not wait to try this place. I will say that if u are not willing to wait to get in then this place is not for you. We had to wait almost an hour to get in for brunch. When we did get in the place was very pretty and I really like how it was set up inside. They even have outdoor seating if you like. Now was the food worth the wait nope not really. The best thing I ate that day was the Million dollar bacon. I could eat that every day. The rest of the food was just okay nothing special. It took forever to get our food. We were there almost 2 hours. They got my husband order wrong so they had to remake it. It did not help that we hardly saw our waitress and we had to ask for refills on drinks. Now someone could say that I am being harsh about getting refills on drinks but we waited a good while for our food. Our waitress she was missing in action. She must have been in the back doing thing's because I personally never saw her helping another table and were we sat we could see everybody. Would I come back maybe for the bacon. Service is terrible my wife and I arrived with a 15 minute wait to be seated, but unfortunately after 45 minutes we realized the hostess had no idea what she's doing. The hostess had either somehow skipped our name or wrote my wife's name down wrong. We Informed her that it's been 45 minutes and she said we'll seat you next, but then she proceeded to seat another group right after telling us that. So finally after 50-55 minutes on a 15 minute wait we were seated, but that's not where the crap show ends. We sit in our seats and it takes about 10-15 minutes again to even get water at our table. It is what it is but I will never waste another morning coming to this restaurant. read more

This place has potential. Pros: service was friendly and fast. Atmosphere is warm, comfortable and clean. A great variety of menu options to choose from, seemingly all crafted with distinction. I chose the "Trifecta" - Belgian waffle, eggs scrambled with cheese, chicken sausage, and coffee. Cons: The waffle was cold to the point where the whipped butter wasn't melting after I spread it around. I asked for (and had to pay $1.50 extra for) real maple syrup instead of the high-fructose corn syrup they initially served. But even that arrived chilled. They were happy to warm up the syrup and replace my waffle with one that came out hot and fresh - but I'm surprised that a $$ place like this would default to cold fake syrup and charge for cold real syrup, when even Cracker Barrel serves heated real maple syrup as standard fare. Also, the regular black coffee had a strong peculiar taste to it, like it was actually a flavored coffee (hazelnut-ish?) and the server wasn't able to tell me what kind of bean it was. The waffle came with a fruit syrup as well, but without fresh strawberries and/or blueberries on top, I think the name "Trifecta" may be a bit pretentious. So I'm likely to revisit this place and try something else...just thinking that for a shop that bills itself as a cut above, the first impression turned out fairly average. read more

For the prices they charge I would expect better. This is the 3rd time I've been there and 2nd time I've complained. Last time a manager wrote to my girlfriend and asked what he/she could do for us and we told them. Then crickets. Not acceptable for the prices they charge. Even the million dollar bacon wasn't up to standards. Way too peppery. Will not go there again. Been to one in Bluffton and that one was much better. Oh well. read more

When we travel down south First Watch has become my go to restaurant for a good healthy breakfast!!! Everything is fresh and good quality ingredients! I love their healthy smoothies- they drink more like treat then something healthy for you! Decided to have something southern so I went with a crabcake Benedict which was oh so good!! We stumbled upon First Watch after a bad experience at Another Broken Egg also in Pooler. Pretty impressed. Very clean, bright and extremely welcoming staff. The food was very good as well. My husband and I both got drinks which they can't serve until 11am which was weird. He loved his mimosa, the Bloody Mary was underwhelming. Little to no alcohol in it at all. Basically just a very simple bloody marry mix pre-mixed & bacon over ice. We will be back to First Watch but I will pass on the alcoholic beverages this time. read more

This is my second review. When I ate at First Watch when it first opened it was excellent. I have eaten here at least six times since and unfortunately it has taken a a few steps back. The biggest issue is the inconsistency. I am never sure whether I will get a good meal or bad meal. I almost always have scrambled eggs and sometimes they are good and sometimes they are like rubber. The grits are downtown divine and sometimes very clumpy. On our last visit we were there on a weekday around ten and it was not very busy. My husband ordered the egg sandwich and asked for the egg to be hard cooked. It was runny. I asked for a side a grits and they brought it about 15 minutes before the rest of my food. They brought my waffle and no syrup and I asked and waited about 10 minutes to receive it. My waffle was cold. Overall the worst experience yet. Makes me sad because they have a lot of potential but just can't seem to get it together. read more

Waited over an hour and politely asked when they would be able to seat us and they basically said online reservations placed (after I reserved our table!) were given preferential treatment. I again went to First Watch for Brunch. As always I think I'm going to try something different but I again got the Classic Eggs Benedict n again it was delicious. The greens r also great. My only problem is there is too much for me to eat. Twice I've only eaten half my food n taken the rest home. Sadly it's just not the same heated up later. It would be really great to be able to buy a half portion. As a Senior Citizen I don't eat as much now. Could management even offer a One Egg Benedict. This would be absolutely amazing. All in all I really like this place and maybe just maybe I'll try a different item next time. One that I know will be just as good on reheat. read more
