Our experience ordering takeout from first watch started off rough. We were missing multiple items upon receiving our order from DoorDash and were very disappointed when only receiving four dollars in a refund. We called the restaurant and spoke to Kaylee who remade our entire order and gave us a $20 gift card. That's customer service. As a frequent word of mouth recommendation to this reviewer I have been to this location 2 times now. Service was fantastic both times. I could see that very few seats are undesirable. This time I had the pleasure of sitting next to a roaring fireplace on a cool and overcast Omaha morning. I love that food is locally sourced and seasonal. There is a mixture of food for those who wish to be health conscious and those who want to enjoy life in other ways. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the flavoring of some of the food. The first dish I ordered was a basic egg, cheese, ham dish with herbs. I expected the herbs to elevate or add the final touch to the dish. What I discovered was that the generic herbs was parsley. Wah...wah... To be fair, the potatoes were out of this world. This go round, I ordered a dish that I knew would have more flavor based on other ingredients and was not disappointed. So, would I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely! With the caveat that you pay attention to the flavors you are ordering. read more

This location is differently laid out than my usual spot out west, but still serves up the same great breakfast. Despite it being a chain, it still offers quality breakfast items you may find on a pit stop in a small town. They clearly nail their aesthetic. I always go for the healthy turkey and enjoy the greens and the hearty fluffy omelet like serving. Additionally, I love to add a morning mediation to my breakfast, its like get a cocktail, instead it's super healthy and full of vitamins. Although, they do serve a mean bloody mary with their million dollar bacon! It's moderately priced and depending on the time it can be super busy, but youll leave full. read more

A casual but cozy spot to grab brunch! Every location is so consistent to the next. I love their avocado toast...it's always stacked so high with avocado and they add this lemon oil (I think) on top that's soo good. They have a seasonal menu that changes out to fit the season! Their regular menu has several breakfast and lunch options too that are always available. I highly recommend trying their juices - they are delicious! The service here is always friendly and upbeat! Good breakfast/brunch option in the area. Definitely a dressed-up chain restaurant feel, but they do a nice job of making it feel a bit more homey than say...IHOP. Food is good, nothing that blows your mind but should hit the spot. Lots of options between pancakes, scrambles, sandwiches, salads, power bowls, and traditional breakfasts. Personally, I'd stick with the classic here...bacon, eggs, pancakes, french toast, etc. I haven't had a ton of luck with the fancier options. (Banana fosters was way too sweet for my liking) Reasonably priced, decent breakfast...overall not the worst choice you could make. read more

Our first breakfast out and about in a long while. We knew we would have plenty of space in their big cafe to spread out, and we were right! Their staff wears masks and ensures that there is plenty of space between tables for comfort. Their dining area appears clean and well kept. They have removed common condiments from tables and serve them upon request in individual servings. Unfortunately, this particular visit was less than thrilling-I ordered the Floridian french toast, which was dry and served up with an AMPLE amount of fruit, however, a decent amount of the fruit was squishy/browned/all together not deemed 'edible' by myself. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his turkey sausage and gravy which proved to be quite a feast, served with potatoes and...another side which is now escaping my memory. read more

They're in a good plaza for a brunch spot. There chickichanga! Very good! What happened? First Watch has always been a splurge for our family of 4. 5/2 we went at 10am. The quality had significantly dropped off. The pancakes were so dry my daughter used half the syrup bottle. Even then they were dry. The chorizo omelette was stuffed full of... of chili's. I did see a couple small sprinkles of chorizo but couldn't taste it at all. The dollop of sour cream was the size of a dime. About 1/2 teaspoon. Similar experience with the ckickenchanga. No flavor and a sliver of sour cream. Could not find meat or flavor. The potato's were pretty good. $70 for a party of 3. We were all disappointed. We won't be returning and now it makes sense why the wait was so short. read more

We had lunch at this Omaha cafe today with my Dad's next door neighbor. She helps my dad a lot, so we wanted to treat. She chose this restaurant and we really liked the ambiance and menu. The decor is really cute and they have both inside and outside seating. We all ordered the "Two For You" Lunch, which is a half a sandwich with either a cup of soup or salad. I had a quick bite for lunch. The attentive waitress brought me my own pot of coffee to consume at my own rate. It is a nice touch to have my own pot. I can pour fresh and only pour enough so it is almost always hot. I had a turkey club that was plenty for me. The whole wheat bread had turkey, avocado, lettuce, bacon, tomato, and mayo on it. Their menu is creative and offers healthy options. We like this place and need to come here more often (72nd street). Coffee isn't cheap but this place has good service and they actually refill your cup frequently, seems easy but it's rare nowadays. The place was busy but service was good, when we left it was packed and there was a long line for tables. Get here early. Breakfast was about $40 including a 30% tip for good service, plus I was amped up from adequate caffeine. Find this place again, soon. read more

My second visit, but first one during a pandemic. My first visit was much better and I can't really decide if I should even bother going back. Let me first point out that we were sat at a table that was falling apart. I'm talking held together by ONE screw. I asked if we could be sat at another table or swap one from a table where no one was sitting. Our server said she needed to check with the manager. When the manager came out he said he couldn't swap the tables and by the time he came out there was nowhere he could put us so there wasn't an option to move us. So naturally I asked why we would even be sat at a table that wasn't safe to eat at and he said and I quote "we have someone coming to fix it later today" uh...what? So what if he came to fix it while we were sitting there....this table shouldn't be used...and he walked away. The food was overcooked (scrambled eggs were over scrambled) and they burnt the bacon. Which is funny because the server handed me a plate of burnt bacon and said, "sorry this is overcooked do you want me to have it redone" Why she didn't just do that in the first place is beyond me (as you can see in the photo compared to the bacon in the drink it's burnt). I'm at the point where I just want to eat and get the hell out of here. Shout-out to the bartender tho...he was the only one to get anything right. The Bloody Mary and Mimosas were on point!! ***Update. After emailing per the below request, I was actually added to the marketing list rather than actually conversing about my experience. I came into First Watch on a Friday around 10:30. The restaurant was busy but I was seated right away. The restaurant has big windows so the place was filled with natural light and I loved the colorful, modern decor. I ordered coffee and was excited when I love that they had pumpkin spice creamer! I also ordered the Tri-Fecta with the banana crunch pancake, over-medium eggs, turkey sausage. The eggs were a little over cooked but the pancake was delicious and huge! I would highly recommend the banana crunch pancake... it had banana slices, granola, dried cranberries, and sliced nuts (almonds, I believe). It was delicious and very unique! read more

I have been to First Watch many times, both the Bellevue location and the one at Aksarben Village. One thing I really like is the greens salad as a side for breakfast. An omelette with a salad has always been my go to. Since I have been eating more plant-based, today I decided to have the market veggie sandwich. Here's the description: House-roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini and spinach with basil pesto, mayo and Mozzarella cheese on grilled artisan whole grain. It was delicious! I'm not usually a mushroom fan, but the way this was put together, it was great. And the bread was fantastic. I ordered it at Aksarben Village carside to go. It was warm and fresh when I received it. I really wanted this to be a 5 star experience but it was like 3.5. I got the breakfast burritto that was a special. It was just ok. Not alot of barbacoa, like very little egg and potatos were not seasoned well and not crispy. I paid 5.25 for a Cranberry specialty juice deink and all it tasted like was watered down cranberry juice. My friend had hash and it was ok. Like I said really wanted to like this place. I love this chain of restaurants and seek them out anytime I'm in a metropolitan area. This location did not disappoint, we had excellent service and very fresh food. They have many healthy choices for those of us trying to avoid the poison that is passed off as food these days in our society. This is now my new favorite brunch spot, sorry you other egg restaurants. The eggs for my Benedict was cooked absolutely perfectly, I mean perfectly runny yolks and whites done right. While I never considered having a side salad with my breakfast, I'm glad I chose that instead of potatoes, a nice bed of mixed greens topped with a light vinegrette was the perfect accompaniment to my eggs. I felt satisfied and not weighed down. And this is the first time I've had a hollandsaise where I could actually taste the lemon. 2thumbs up. Since I didn't get potatoes I decided to indulge in the cheesey grits and I'm glad I did. One of the worst things do to grits is cook them in water UGH! But not First Watch, they were creamy and tasty and cheesey. Yup, just like I would have made. I wish the butter was in the side though and next time I will ask for that, it was a little much butter considering the cheese. Without the cheese it would have been a perfect amount. Also the portions are just right. I was able to finish all my food, I get annoyed when portions are so large I loose my appetite looking at the plate. Ordered: breakfast burrito w/ no beans (warm, filling, expectations were met and came as advertised), side of fruit (fresh, not brown/from a can, good variety, sweet), crab cake benedict with hashbrowns (HBs were cold and not crispy, crab cakes had a little more filler than I'd like, but the flavors of the red pepper sauce, hollandaise and perfect ooey egg made up for it. I have been here on several occasions and always a great place to eat breakfast. They serve here lunch as well but breakfast options are so much better. The staff here is always super nice and the service is always wonderful. I recommend getting here as early as possible as it does get super busy or get take out as it does get pretty busy. On the weekends there is a line which means it is super good. The fresh juices here are always awesome and love all the selection of healthy food options as well. Highly recommend. After a few more visits I am updating my review. First Watch is a chain style place in my mind. The food was better on my more recent visit's. Its a great spot to sit at a table and kill some time without being pressed for orders eating and leaving. Service is a bit on the slow side and it takes a while. No worries if you are having a relaxing breakfast this is the place to do that! It was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday morning but definitely a delicious spot I had the avocado toast and it was good I wish they would've done two slices of toast instead of just one for a better avocado toast ratio. I'm not sure if I've ever said there's too much avocado in my life but I definitely would've been better if it would've been on two slices of toast instead of one. Quick service and lots of menu options. I would love to see some tofu scramble's available but they still have quite a few vegetarian options.
