This is the first time I've been to this First Watch location and unfortunately my experience was not so great like I've had at others. The positives are the bathrooms were clean, I love the interior (it's beautiful inside, nice vibe), the service was good, our waitress was nice, and we didn't have to wait long for the food. Also, the coffee was very good! The negatives started of with not being given water for some time, and then when I got my BLT eggs Benedict the egg whites were raw, and my sister's eggs in her order were not made over easy like she wanted. Also, I got the smallest two slivers of avocado I've ever gotten on a BLT eggs Benedict at First Watch, it was nothing. And finally, I had not been given syrup with my pancake. I was waiting for someone to come by so I could ask, but it took too long, so when I saw someone leave and pay their tab in a table near ours I got the syrup left on their table. When I did eat the pancake, it wasn't very good unfortunately. It wasn't a very good experience overall. It was surprising for me. I do love my past experience at other locations, so I may give this one another try. This is a new location and it make be finding its footing. read more

I tried First Watch for the first time for brunch with a coworker and I'd probably land at about 3 stars. The service was incredible. The two ladies who helped us were attentive, kind, and checked in just the right amount. They really made the experience pleasant. Also, the Million Dollar Bacon was delicious definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the dish I was most excited about was a big letdown. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, which is one of my favorite brunch dishes, and it just didn't come out right. The bread on my plate was extremely tough, making it hard to cut and eat. One of the eggs was cooked perfectly, but the other was basically hard-boiled, which definitely shouldn't happen with Eggs Benedict. On top of that, the hollandaise sauce lacked flavor, which is really what brings the whole dish together. I was honestly hoping this would become my new go-to brunch spot, but I left feeling pretty disappointed. Eight days ago, I posted a review of the first watch by the fall. I gave it three stars because I walked in and sat at the bar for 15 minutes and not a soul came up to me and tried to take my order or anything like that.. I recently discovered there's another first watch closer to where I live on SW. 88th St. and 1 25th Ave. so I went there this morning and surprise the exact same thing happened. Clearly, this is a systemic issue since it's happened twice at two different locations. The restaurant was basically empty at this time around 7:30 in the morning so I have no idea what is going on here. Maybe a staffing issue may be a training issue, but I just cannot imagine having paying customers walk in the restaurant and walk out for lack of acknowledgment. read more

Extremely frustrating experience. We were a party of ten and were specifically told that if we waited longer (could be 45- to an hour), they would be able to seat us together. We trusted what we were told and stayed. After a long wait, they provided us with our table,however, the table was split and they could in fact not accommodate our party to sit together. At that point, we had already waited an hour based on information that turned out to be completely inaccurate. If they had been honest from the beginning, we could have made other plans instead of being strung along. This wasn't just an inconvenience -- it was poor communication and a clear lack of respect for our time. Don't make promises to large groups that you can't keep. read more

First watch in Kendall. We came in for a birthday breakfast with 5 people on a Sunday. There was a pretty long line but luckily we made the virtual queue an hour or so before getting there so the timing was perfect as we were up next and seated as soon as we got there. Our waitress had amazing manners and provided outstanding service. I got a mix of breakfastitem including their massive pancakes and it was all delicious. I have been to a few First Watches and I was excited to see a new location open up in the West Kendall Area. The ambiance is great, the restaurant is a great size and the service was great! The staff were friendly and we got seated almost immediately. As this location is new they don't have their liquor license just yet so I wasn't able to order a mimosa but I am very excited to go back regardless! I love First Watch and they never disappoint! I tried one of their new menu items the Parmesan Prosciutto Toast and it was DELICIOUS! I will definitely be ordering that again! My boyfriend ordered the Farm Stand Breakfast tacos which we have had multiple times and is usually a "Go To" for us! Another MUST is the Million Dollar Bacon. Regardless of if we know what we want to order that day we always know we are ordering the Million Dollar Bacon! We will definitely be back! Can't wait to see what new items will be on the menu and try out another new breakfast menu item! read more

I usually visit the First Watch in Doral, but today I stopped by the Kendall location--and it did not disappoint! One of the best parts is that you can add your name to the waiting list online before you arrive, which makes the whole process so convenient. Once we were seated, we were handed both the regular and the new spring menu. We decided to start with the bacon cheddar cornbread from the seasonal offerings, and wow--what a great choice. It was warm, flavorful, and had the perfect savory kick. For my main dish, I went with the classic eggs Benedict, which is always a favorite of mine. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the hollandaise sauce was spot on. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food was fresh and delicious. This is my second time showing up and sitting at the bar, which was readily available without having to wait even if you're on the waitlist, the service was great and love that they had the garage doors open as the weather was nice and cool! I am give this location one star, they have failed a number of times. We gave them a chance with ordering on-line and shown up in person. Seems the excuse is they're very busy. The food in shop was cold and dried out. We gave them a pass, but when we ordered online 4 breakfasts were released. That order was missing many items. We called. Told they were too busy to deal with the order that was missing half the item's. Going forward, I encourage those ordering to either check the order or dont waste your energy and money on this place. read more

Firsts visit to this new location. Being FW conneseurs, we were still open to try something different. Their current new menu items were spot on. Trips the Blueberry Cornbread and we enjoyed. Good choice. Busy as expected for a Saturday morning but they were able to seat us in less than 10 mins. I asked to add smoked salmon to the Avocado Toast and made it perfect for my taste. Great setup as a new location and can tell the full redesign from the previous restaurant. Our server Maria was amazing. Great, positive attitude. Very friendly and attentive. Def recommend. Stopped by for breakfast early on a Sunday morning and had a great experience! We were initially offered a table but asked for a booth instead. The host was very accommodating and quickly found one for us in the back. The spot was cozy, though the AC was a little chilly. The menu had an impressive variety, and I went with the salmon Benedict and a side of cheesy grits. Both were absolutely delicious! Everyone at the table loved their meals as well (check the receipt for details). The only small mix-up was receiving plain milk instead of chocolate milk, but the service was quick and attentive, making it a minor hiccup. This is the third time something has gone wrong at this First Watch. First and foremost, Valentina--the young girl working the front door--should not be greeting guests. She was extremely rude, not only to me but to others around me as well. I asked to speak with a manager, and she dismissed me and told me to "stand aside" because I was "in the way," and never called the manager. I eventually had to go to the kitchen myself to get someone. Enrique, the manager, came out from the back and truly saved the day. He made a table available and ensured the situation was handled. Maria, who served my table, was excellent and provided great service. Unfortunately, despite Enrique and Maria's efforts, this will be the last time I visit this First Watch. The atmosphere and the treatment from the front greeter were unacceptable. read more

This will be my second time going to First Watch, this past Sunday/ my first time was about 3 weeks ago, the estimated time then was 45-55min. ,we waited for about 40 to be seated, it is very packed on the weekends, so be prepared to sit and wait/ we had a great experience with the food, everything was delicious and service also was good. On my last visit i noticed that you could get in line, online on their website, it states that it is not a reservation but you will be seated within the time frame they give you, mine said, 40-50...i got to the restaurant about 35 min after, went to check in and the hostess (that had huge fake long nails that couldn't even type properly on the registration pad/ don't mean to discriminate but common people, can we have a little respect in a food facility/ it looked like a prank) she told us we would be seated in about 50-60 min....i explained to her i had gotten in line through the website, and she told us practically it didn't matter getting in line because it is not a reservation...can someone please explain to me the purpose of getting in line if you will not respect the policy stated, simply a waste of time. This time the food was still good, service as well l, but i noticed the food even though it was not bad, it was not great as the last time, mostly because presentation was sloppy, my pancakes got chives all over them from the scramble eggs, also burnt grill residue on all plates all over them, and mixed with the pancakes and other items.... It made the food look so dirty! Cooks definitely need to be retrained, i don't mean to be picky, but to me this is very unpleasant. I have been to other first watches around Miami several times and always enjoyed the food and service, but this was a disappointment on many levels. We had a group of 9 elderly women today, we let them know we were coming days ahead of time and got on the wait list that morning. . We arrived at 11:20 for our 11:30 table. At 11:40 we said we'd take the outdoor table since there was no seating for us inside in sight. At 11:45 we were seated. Got water by 11:50 and we told the waitress we were ready to Order. She disappeared for so Long we had to go looking for her. Our orders were placed after noon but then slowly about 12:30 we got only 2 plates at a time about every 5-10 minutes. The last order of food for our table came out as we were all almost finished at 12:50 and an order of the bacon arrived so late she took it to go. Unacceptable. The waitress said the kitchen was having a bad day and did apologize, but we were all very disappointed on the very slow service, time for each of us to get our dishes.... management could have at least come out to explain for the delays or try and make things right. Also disappointing was that 8 out of 9 of us said we wouldn't order that same dish again ranging from breakfast tacos to the salmon frittata to the tomato basil soup. First watch...... I know you can do better in service and food. Sorry today was so off for you. Bottom line, not good for large groups , and not so good for foodies who can make a better soup or breakfast tacos at home or anyone who wants good service. Our server's (Christopher) game was really off today. We sat outside for what seemed a long time. I asked for our server, since one had not yet greeted us. When he arrived, instead of what would have been a reset, "I'm sorry", he proceeded to explain that sometimes he can't see people at this table. Our order was really simple (breakfast sandwich) and came back wrong. Our ask for plenty of water and extra napkins seemed to be ignored multiple times; as he prioritized clearing a nearby table. It was my first time here and I'm so glad we have a new breakfast place in Kendall! I went on a Saturday and it was packed! About an hour wait time for 2 people but the host checked on us and made sure we knew about checking the coffee bar in case open seating came up. They have both indoor and outdoor seating in a very open and well lit space. We were in luck after about 25 minutes and headed to the bar. Our server was full of energy and kindness. He gave us all of the poplar recommendations and we decided to start with the Morning Meditation. This was a fresh juice made with orange, lemon, turmeric, ginger, agave nectar, and beet...sooo yummy! Next we shared the Tri-fecta, which was 2 eggs, your choice of meat (we had turkey sausage), and either pancakes or waffle. Some it was our first time, we went with the Ricotta Lemon Pancakes and they did not disappoint! Last up, we had the Elevated Egg Sandwich. We replaced the bacon with chicken sausage and it was delicious. Best part were the fresh season potato's on the side. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavor was perfect. We left satisfied and wanting to come back and try some more... there is a Chickichanga that I'm coming back for next! Such a disappointing experience! Our family went for brunch and from the beginning we asked for mimosas and were told we had to wait until 1 pm. (I find that ridiculous since we are not in the bible belt) It was 12:35 so we told our server to bring it then. Too bad she was so incompetent she never did. That and the fact that we had to wait 20 minutes for water (after we asked twice) our food came in stages ridiculous! I got served first, my eggs Benedict were overly runny and with almost no sauce. I waited patiently for the rest of my family's food to arrive along with the juices we had ordered. 10 minutes later they brought out 3 more plates. Still no juices and no food for my daughter in law. We had to flag down our server and that's when she brought the juices and asked my daughter in law what she had ordered. 10 minutes + later a server brought her food one egg Benedict was over done (the yolk was hard) and the other one was fine. How do you mess that up???? Our waiter NEVER passed by to ask how we were doing (she only had 3 tables to wait on) After we were all done she passed couldn't find the ticket and we had to wait another 5 minutes for her to come back with it. My husband being the nice guy he is left her a tip. I wouldn't have left anything. My daughter in law talked to the manager. He was nice and said he was sorry to hear that but didn't look shocked so I'm guessing it's standard of this waitress because when we told him maybe she needed a smaller section he told us she only had 3 tables. I can honestly say I and my family will never go back to First Watch. We were looking forward to a nice relaxing brunch where we could sit and talk and all we did was complain to one another. read more

Came on opening weekend and it was a long wait but our server was super nice she gave us muffins while we waited for our food which took 30-40 mins to arrive. I ordered a skillet hash that was supposed to have veggies in it and what was supposed to be zucchini was a tiny green skin and nothing else. They should call this dish breakfast potato skillet with egg and sprinkled veggies. The amount of potatoes could feed 3-4ppl easily. The quality has changed in a year. I noticed similar issues at the doral location too. This used to be my favorite breakfast place too. :/ read more
