Came here for breakfast with my mini me. Seated promptly and our server Ivan was amazing. We shared the pumpkin spice donuts and they were so tasty. I had a breakfast bowl and it was delish. Love this place!! Came today with 2 friends and hubby. We ordered two eggs benedicts with salmon, a BEC and a blueberry lemon cornbread. My best friend and I shared the B.E.C. It was enough. My husband said his eggs were undercooked because even the whites were falling apart. Apart from that we all enjoyed our food and the guys said the coffee was good. I got a coupon for buy one entree, get one free for my birthday. My friend's hubby was so surprised about that since he treated. Love this place! Our waitress was phenomenal too! Not sure why I continue to try this place. There are plenty of breakfast places opening up in the area and these people are beyond difficult. The hostess gives you an attitude if you ask for a booth she literally asked us if we needed a booth, excuse, we want a booth and that's it. The food is very good, but the service and atmosphere are really downgrading very quickly. They constantly have especially on weekends a huge line out the door a huge wait yet there's always and I mean always, no exaggeration here, empty tables available, yet they won't seat you they make you stand outside and wait. And then they hand you this holiday menu when you come in that shows all these brunch cocktails but they refuse to serve you a cocktail until 1 PM Fine if that's your rule, but then why give somebody a menu that shows all these cocktails if I can't have them. Enjoyed lunch at First Watch recently. The ambiance is nice, upscale modern diner vibe. I was surprised that the restaurant was filled to capacity on a Tuesday. The service was ok, our waiter seemed to have his mind elsewhere and a different order was delivered to me. It had similar components to what I had initially ordered, but something was off, I then realized it was that I was missing items that were supposed to be coming with my order. Waited a little for the mistake to be remedied. The food was good, but this visit there was nothing to write home about honestly. Other visits at different locations have been better. read more

Excellent food and service at First Watch in Pinecrest. The fam had been wanting to visit together for brunch and I can see why! The portions, flavors, and mix of healthy/fun options did not disappoint. I especially liked the Avo toast and the Market hash. The French toast and lemon ricotta pancake were delicious too. 3.7 out of 5 is my review. I was shocked at how packed it was at 10:30am, and that didn't stop us from getting seated within 10 minutes. The ambiance was nice and the food was good, but I expected more based on the hype and the photos. The service was a solid 5. The hostess, from Venezuela (not that this matters but in case they want to know who it is to give credit to) was great! She gave a warm welcome and was professional, energetic and kind. Eric, walked us over to our table and Victor, was our server. The staff was attentive to our needs and made the experience one that will result in me returning. The bathrooms were clean so that's a bonus! The food was where I thought it could've been better. The biscuit and gravy was better than I anticipated but also smaller too. The eggs were supposed to be scrambled soft, but they came out hard. They replaced them quickly to another format and they were much better. The potatoes could've been cooked more. The waffle was meh. It was floppy and there was no crunch at all. It tasted good, but definitely needed to be closer to advertised and bigger for $12. The watermelon and lime juice is supposed to be fresh, but it came with a sugar rim and it had added sugar (which defeats what's advertised). There should be no sugar rim or at least that should've been mentioned. The pancake was good and so was the omelette for my guests. We would go back but hoping to seeing improvements made. For the last couple of years I have noticed several locations of First Watch popping up all over Miami, and being impressed with long lines forming outside. This past weekend our curiosity hit a fever pitch and we decided to give it a try. The basic premise of First Watch its a more polished and trendier version of Denny's or IHop, the only difference is their hour of operations is really taking breakfast-brunch serious because they closed by 2pm daily. So for our meal we came hungry and ready to sample from their vast menu. For starters we ordered their chicken breakfast soft tacos, which came with tender grilled chicken, scrambled eggs, pico del gallo, and topped with sliced avocados. Very impressed with the taste and quality of all ingredients and the side of seasoned potatoes were also perfect. For our main dish we all ordered something different to try, my wife ordered their avocado toast with sunny side up, I ordered their limited time breakfast sandwich (BEC) with cheese grits, our kids ordered pancakes with bacon and the ham and Gruyère melt sandwich. The avocado toast was one of the best I had in a while very creamy with clear chunks of avocado very tangy with the right amount of salt. The BEC was a breakfast sandwich on steroids it included freshest folded eggs, bacon, cheese, arugula lettuce, their house aioli sauce on a toasted sourdough bread with a great crunch. The BEC as well as the ham and Gruyère sandwiches delivered on both bold flavors and texture. The pancakes were also delicious and were not over cooked giving it the right fluffy texture and it went well with the house syrup. My wife also ordered a yogurt parfait with a peanut butter toast very fresh and clean dish. Like I mentioned prior most of the sides consisted of breakfast potatoes and the cheesy grits which both sides hit the spot. Even though we were stuffed we made room for their donut holes , the donuts were very dense but moist interior and it went well with the dipping sauces. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service were very attentive, we can't wait to make a return. read more

So glad to have this First Watch in our neighborhood. I have visited First Watch years ago in Tampa and enjoyed it, and so happy finally the chain is popping up everywhere in Miami. Our server Victor is great, very friendly, and was able to let us switch up some of the ingredients in the order. They have healthy items as well as your standard not-great-for-your-health-but-oh-so-delicious American breakfast. We love the atmosphere inside, very bright and spacious, the window seats are our favorite. Price is on the pricey side, $4 for a regular coffee, so expect to spend $20-30 for a breakfast. read more

We've been to this First Watch location probably a dozen times since they opened, but not in several months until today. We went for lunch and it wasn't busy, so we were seated right away and served pretty quickly. The food was sub par and both my husband and I were disappointed. I ordered the veggie sandwich which arrived cold. It was overloaded with mayonnaise, so much so that it was all I could taste. The bread was not their usual and looked like it came from Publix. My husband ordered a turkey/bacon/cheese sandwich and they were out of turkey & all they could give him was ham. It too arrived cold, with no cheese and institutional white bread. I usually love First Watch; it's one of my favorite spots for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. This location started off great: long line (always a good sign), and they even offered coffee and water outside while we waited, which I thought was really nice. Inside looked clean and inviting, and even the bathrooms were spotless. Unfortunately, the service didn't live up to the rest. My brother ordered sunny-side-up eggs and got scrambled instead. Our coffee carafe came half empty, and we had to ask for refills. There were other mix-ups with our order, and when I tried to get our server's attention, she just ignored me. The first time I went to this location, it is a few days after they had opened. At the time, it was nothing short of chaos which I attributed to their trying to find their groove. We went back there today and it was a very pleasant dining experience. From the moment we were seated, until we left, our server Arianna provided superb service. The team members worked as just that, a team by running food for other servers who were busy. We opted for the soup and sandwich combos. (The tomato basil soup is excellent). Just what the Falls area needed. Great variety of food for brunch. Highly encourage you place yourself on the waitlist online. For Sunday we place ourselves an hour and a half before our intended time. The restaurant has a nice and casual vibe. There is a small outdoor area. It was kid friendly for our 6 & 7 year old. They left the hot pot in the middle of our table so we could serve ourselves as needed. There was just two of us, girls, laughing and sharing the plates that we ordered. I've heard of this place, but we've never been. We really enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere. They were busy, but you never felt like a burden and the food came up quickly. I had the BLT Benedict with the side of greens and it was a great lighter breakfast. My daughter had the kids 2 egg breakfast and didn't leave anything behind. The atmosphere is wonderful but really noisy. I had the Pineapple Express drink ( non alcoholic), and the baconator omelet, with avocado, potatoes side, salsa, strawberry jam and grain bread. This Pinecrest location is not very big, so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. Parking can be challenging so plan accordingly. I love the subtle personalization, like the wall that welcomes customers pays homage to the city. Love the different types of tables and seating, there are booths, tables, the bar and even at the patio. And I do want to give a shoutout to their to go packaging...they make it so easy to reheat! SERVICE: Despite being open for less than a couple of weeks, the service was excellent. From the reservation process, checking in and the interaction with our servers, the service here has been the best we've ever had in the area. The servers had smiles on their faces, they answered all of our inquiries and made suggestions. No one looked frazzled nor overwhelmed; I watched them communicate with one another and got answers to questions they don't know. It was nice to witness the team working well together, because the customer can definitely feel the energy and the energy that day was awesomeness! FOOD: The family tried a little bit of everything! From regular and ice coffee, to the morning meditation fresh juice, purple haze to the kale tonic. These fresh juices were a 10 and I can't decide which I love more. Maybe the purple haze just because it reminds me of my birthstone. We started with the Million Dollar Bacon of course and baby, the family inhaled it. The Works Omelet had the veggies and meat and I got the grits on the side and that was delicious. But I was really eye-balling my mom's You Pick 2...the half roast beef sandwich and the half sweet honey pecan salad. She let me try them and I have not forgotten them since. That salad had the freshest greens and slices of chicken and bacon and those delicious honey pecan....my mouth is drooling just talking about it. Everything we ate were well portioned and delicious. Can I say how happy I am that we have a first watch in Kendall?! I am ecstatic! This place is absolutely amazing! The food, the service, and THE PRICES are just 5 stars. I went with my mother in law for her birthday- it was 5 of us. I had the parmesan prosciutto toast with cheesy grits - so good! Other dishes ordered in my table included the Carne hash bowl, traditional breakfast, broccoli cheddar soup, and multi grain pancakes. No complaints by anyone on any single item on our plate. Was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. All the staff were really nice. The restaurant was a little loud since it's on the smaller side- it still was nice and clean. All the food was delicious. The lemon ricotta pancakes were so good. Definitely something you get on the side. A little rich to eat just as your meal. The iced coffee was good too but be warned it is more like a frappe than a real iced coffee. If you don't like sweet then definitely don't recommend that. The egg sandwich was good and classic as well as the French toast. I would recommend this place for a nice breakfast. read more

We went to this First Watch during its premiere week. I must say that the entire staff were working together well despite their newness. There was a long line of customers waiting, and they don't take reservations. However, they do have an online waiting list so by the time we arrived, our wait was about 5 minutes. All the food was wholesome and good, although nothing stood out. For me, the standout was the icy cold glass of kale juice I had...very fresh, delicious and refreshing. I went in for breakfast sat at the bar and I looked at my phone when I sat down. I sat there for about 16 minutes not one person bothered to come up Ask for my order what I wanted to drink it was like I was invisible. I saw another lady in the bar area who is finishing her food so I know there was service there and I have sat there several times before. With that being said, we don't like to wait..and the wait was longer than it should have been..it gets uncomfortable when you are waiting to be seated but can see 10 empty tables. The wait time for a table outside was ridiculous. An hour for two adults and one child although there were three tables open outside. We seen much larger groups being sat with no offer to us to change our preference due to the lengthy wait time. They simply kept seating everyone else with not a word to us about anything. When the manager came outside she explained the tables were only for two people. As if the tables cannot be moved or a small chair added for a child. The whole ordeal was not accommodating and very distasteful. I can't even enjoy the service or food at this point because the start was so rough. When I called they gave the excuse of being really busy. The manager was nice but he seemed to busy to hear my conversation about missing meals. He asked that I come back to see what they can do..I ordered 4 breakfasts. They made it seem like they were doing me a favor. Going forward i will not order from here.. Visited for my second time & this was for my birthday with family of four others. My order was delayed after everyone received their order for more than 45 minutes. After everyone was finished my order came. I refused to accept that I'd be eating alone & asked our waiter to return the meal. The staffers thought they'd soften the blow by bring me a desert birthday muffin which I couldn't eat without having something besides coffee. The gesture was appreciated but again not acceptable to my palate need for food. I'm rescinding my previous review & demoting this unacceptable service from the kitchen.
