    Bakery

Super cute bakery with a great selection of yummy pastries! The service was quick, and the staff was so friendly. Definitely would come again :)

Must try if you're in The Hammocks or passing through! Galipan has incredible breakfast and lunch plates that are worth the price. The service is super family friendly. Keep in mind the location is right off of a main road so you'll have to go behind the lot to park but don't let that deter you. They have delicious sweets you'll be craving if you don't try! Coffee was not my favorite but the food made up for it. 9/10 will definitely be back!

Dulce de Leche Bomba and Fruit Tart

Small bakery with good pastries. There's not much seating inside and if you order to-go, then you have to awkwardly stand between tables since there's not much space inside. The place is rather hidden and little bit difficult to find. I ordered a bomba and fruit tart. The bomba was good, but overfilled with dulce de leche in my opinion. The tart was also tasty, but the crust was a bit soggy. Overall decent experience.

This is a tiny little place located in Kendall and you could miss it because I almost couldn't find it! This is a cute bakery with a variety of baked goods and coffee options. I ordered a spinach, puff pastry, and it had amazing flavor, the crust was flaky and buttery while the inside with savory and filled with spinach and cheese. The coffee was delicious as well. I would go back to try some of the desserts.

    Avocado and egg toast
    Amanda D.

Everything we tried was delicious! 10/10 recommend the mushroom and manchego toast. The avocado and egg toast was huge and loaded up with egg and avocado; we shared it amongst 3 of us and still didn't finish it. Each toast was between $16-$18. Our lattes were a bit pricier than I'm used to (around $8 each) and as expected for a latte. All of the pan, sweets, and pastries were tasty and fresh. The space was crowded when we came in but we were able to get a small table and enjoy our meal. The staff was nice, friendly, and patient with my parents who do not speak Spanish (which was appreciated). Not pictured: almond croissant & key lime tarte (to go, and around $15 total) which were both fresh and tasty. We also ordered a quesadilla (about $6) which had a sweet cheese filling baked atop/in the middle of the dough. One downside... YOU, the customer, has to pay the credit card fee of 3+%, which I did find off putting after spending over $75 in their establishment. I could see if it was under a $10 purchase, but when you're spending $75+ it feels like sneaky business to pay the stores credit card fee (which is a business expense on their end), while also covering the tip and taxes, which are expected.

Whenever I visit my brother a stop at Galipan is a MUST! Absolutely love their croissants. They're huge, flakey & absolutely tasty! I always order the Nutella croissant. It's huge and filled with so much Nutella. I still think about that croissant lol.

Super cute and cozy coffee shop with both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer so many delicious Venezuelan treats to choose from, and the breakfast menu runs until noon, which is a nice touch. I ordered the egg avocado toast. It was okay, but a bit bland and definitely could've used more flavor or a little kick. The iced latte, on the other hand, was delicious and really hit the spot. I also grabbed a few bakery items to take home and try later. I can see myself coming back for coffee and the calm, cozy vibes. It is a bit on the pricier side.

    Tequenos

The tequenos are the best I've had in Kendall. They make them fresh and they're crispy and soft. You have to wait about 7-10 minutes before they're ready so order ahead of your pressed for time. The vanilla latte with oat milk is also delicious. I came back for them 3 days in a row. They're consistent and it always tastes the same. Definitely recommend. It is on the pricier side. I paid $20 for two lattes. Ambiance is good for solo or group setting but not for co-working.

Galipan Sandwich, Pernil Sandwich, Pistachio Croissant
    Chris D.

Initially came in for breakfast mid day but it was just a bit too late and they weren't serving breakfast. So went with some sandwiches . We had the classic galipan egg sandwhich and the Sunday special pernil sandwhich. So good. Also had coffees and a huge pistachio croissant. Both were great. Service was quick. Chill vibe all around and nice outdoor seating too. Will be back

This spot is in the heart of Kendall. It's a great Venezuelan spot to have breakfast. The food is fantastic, everything I got was perfect. From the avocado toast to the pastries. Every time I come here, the service is great. They bring your food fairly quick for how packed it usually is in the morning. I love their tequeños, they are definitely made fresh. They come out so warm and crispy. Their cheese bread is delicious and such a good size. Don't even get me started with their pistachio croissant, it's so fluffy and they put a great amount of pistachio spread inside of the croissant. They also have iced lattes, I enjoyed the caramel iced latte. It was a perfect balance, not too sweet and not too bitter. I love coming here for breakfast on the weekend with friends, it's a chill vibe and there is also outside seating. There's a parking lot and it's free to park, very convenient.

This hidden gem in Kendall is tucked away in back of a shopping center. I would have never guessed such a great cafe and bakery existed at this location. I had a cortado and it was just how I liked it. Dark roast and perfect amount of milk. Their Venezuelan pastries are amazing. I had their ham and cheese Cachito and it was the best I've ever had. The bread was soft and filled generously with cubed ham and cheese. I will definitely be back to try some of their sweet pastries.

One of my favorite breakfast spots for coffee, pastries, or a really good croissant breakfast sandwich. The place is small but aesthetically pleasing, with an open concept outdoor seating area that makes it feel inviting. Service was quick and efficient. It does tend to get busy on weekend mornings, but it's worth it. I came with two of my girlfriends to catch up over breakfast and felt comfortable the entire time. I was so satisfied that I even took an assortment of pastries home for my family and every single one was delicious. Highly recommend the Galipan Croissant Sandwich

Galipán Bakehouse is a really cute spot--tucked away and a bit hidden, but once you find it, it has a nice, cozy vibe. They offer a wide selection of baked goods and coffee options, and everything seems fresh and thoughtfully prepared. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the quality feels premium across the board. We're big fans of bread pudding, so we were a little disappointed that it came out dry--wouldn't recommend that particular item. The service was okay, but the place was pretty busy, and it looked like a lot of regulars were there, which is always a good sign. Overall, I'd say it's a good spot to try if you enjoy artisan baked goods and specialty coffee. It may not be an everyday place due to pricing, but it's worth visiting at least once for the variety and quality.

The food was consistently delicious and everything tasted incredible. Today I was walking through Coral Gables and got hungry, so I decided to give it another try after a couple of disappointments a few year back. We were greeted warmly and the service was outstanding, the staff was attentive, courteous, and always smiling, which really makes a difference. They started us off with complimentary arepitas de chicharrón that were excellent. I ordered the patacón de carne, which was packed with flavor, though the shredded meat came a little cold. We also got the patacón de pollo and we loved it. Both came with fresh avocado, tomato, and lettuce, and the green plantain was perfectly crispy. They also brought out their four house sauces (white, green, pink, and spicy) and every single one was fantastic. The portions were generous and more than enough for one person. I'm really glad my return visit was a positive experience. It reminded me why I loved this place so much, and I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

I had ordered arepas, empanadas and ceviche. When I finally arrived to pick up I asked for the food to be remade specially the ceviche since I didn't feel comfortable eating something raw after it seating on the counter for over an hour due to their mistake. There was push back but they finally agree to re make the ceviche only. However the rest of the food was cold by the time we ate it. Very disappointing. Food was ok, not amazing or memorable

The service is attentive, and the food is excellent -- both in flavor and presentation. It's a place we have genuinely enjoyed visiting. However, during our most recent visit, there were a few concerns that stood out. First, we noticed that the prices listed on the menu did not match the prices on the receipt. While the differences were only a few dollars, it's important for pricing to be transparent and consistent to avoid confusion. We also really enjoyed the live music -- it created a wonderful atmosphere. However, once the band went on break, videos from the same artist played for over an hour. In our opinion, the content seemed directed toward one specific culture. Given that this is South Florida, where multiculturalism is such a big part of the community, it would be great to see entertainment that reflects and embraces a broader audience. Finally, while the food remains very good, the portion sizes feel small for the current pricing. It seems that prices have increased noticeably, and the value does not feel quite as balanced as before.
