I'm from Hialeah so you know I know. We came here for a Miami Hurricanes promotion and left super impressed. Got a couple other things and ate them in their ample dining room. The coolest part of this place besides that I can scoot over in my golf cart is Open 24 hours! What's up with that?!? Don't know when I would ever need some pastelitos at 3am but I'm happy to have the option

I've heard a lot about this bakery and I was finally in the area so I had to try it. It's Located in an area that has plenty of parking. The inside is pretty big, very clean, and the bathroom decor is really nice! Its covered in wallpaper with Cuban sayings. As soon as I walked in I noticed there was a line to order. It did take a while to order our food but we did get it pretty fast after. The employee was friendly and semi understood my boyfriend that doesn't speak Spanish. We got a cafe con leche, croquetas, and a cachito. We enjoyed the croquetas and the cachito was not bad either. I was impressed with how inexpensive it was. We got 5 items for $14. This price is almost nonexistent when you go to other bakeries.

We made a quick stop in here before a workout class at LA Fitness. Great for your Cuban Cafe con Leche fix. I also had the scrambled eggs for that extra protein. Prices are great. Oh and they also make fresh squeezed Orange juice, it was natural and delicious. Besides that, good clean place with good prices and quick service. All good here!

Something I love about Cuban bakeries like this is the ability to have a fast, affordable, and sometimes even healthy breakfast. We ordered an egg cheese and tomato omelette and it was great. We also had some of the fresh squeezed orange juice, you can see it freshly being juiced in their machine. I really liked it. There was plenty of seating on a Sunday morning, and we got to enjoy a nice, fast, breakfast. Good stuff.

All the classics and more. I get the assorted mini pastelitos a lot. It's the perfect thing to bring to a gathering. We went for a Burger Beast pop up and it was lit! They havrva huge menu. Pan de gloria is divine. Very nice lively atmosphere. Everyone is so nice and friendly.

So it favors more of the grab and go unless you get lucky with an open seat or don't care eating in a crowded environment. As for the food, everything tasted fresh and homemade. We had the Arepa de Choclo, Pan de bono, the corn cake, and the mini cheese breads. Listed in order from our most favorite to not so much. The cheese bread could have been a little better. Felt dry and kinda hard. But the Pan de bono was perfectly buttery and soft and the Corn bread and Arepa de Choclo were both very flavorful and delicious. They had a huge variety of Colombian treats and snacks to choose from while there. We opted to try a white cheese with guava jam filled center. It was amazing. My wife had the guanabana shake and she said it was reminiscent of her childhood. Staff were friendly and took their time to answer so many questions we had. Not to mention the amazing looking pastries and coffees when you first walk in. I ordered the steak sandwich and have no complaints. The vegetables were roasted perfectly, the bread had a great toasted crunch to it, and there was a good amount of steak in my sandwich. In addition, the sauce that they put on the bread was so good! The portion size was great and I find the price point here to be pretty fair (~$21 after tip). It was really busy when we came in but there was still some seating open for us and we were seated right away. The food came out quickly and the staff is very friendly. I love how the food both looks delicious and tastes amazing as well! You don't have to sacrifice on flavor or price to get the aesthetic Instagram picture! Interior is clean and very welcoming. I really enjoy their layout and ambiance. The star of my experience was their Banana Foster hot latte. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it completely delivered. It has this smooth banana flavor with a hint of caramelized sweetness that reminds you of the classic dessert, but it's not overly sugary. The espresso still shines through, and the drink stays perfectly balanced. Every sip feels warm and comforting, especially if you're someone who likes specialty lattes that are flavorful without tasting artificial. What I appreciated most is that the baristas clearly care about the craft. The latte was beautifully made, the milk was silky, and the flavors were layered in a way that felt intentional rather than gimmicky. If you're anywhere near South Miami and want something different from the usual vanilla or caramel latte, the Banana Foster hot latte at Iconik Coffee is absolutely worth trying. It's one of those drinks you end up thinking about later and wanting to go back for.

They are always having pop ups celebrating small businesses, or small events that are curated to feature interesting topics and showcase different local merchants. I will dream of the tequenos regularly, in addition to their other grab and go snacks. The coffee they use is from a local roaster, Perla Coffee, and quite delicious. The best tip I could give, besides visiting them and enjoying a killer cup of coffee, is to follow them on Instagram. That's where they post their events, pop-ups, and seasonal / limited time menu items. Parking is easy - you can park in the funeral home across the street no problem. This spot is also women-owned, making it a perfect place to add to your rotation to celebrate Women's History Month and support women-owned businesses. This location also houses Ocho Placas Tattoo shop, a gallery, and film lab. The concept is awesome, and I can't wait to visit again.

I stopped in again this past Tuesday, and the experience was very different from what I've always known here. The service was unfortunately very rushed and inattentive. We had hoped to dine in, but our food was packed to-go without asking. My sandwich was bland, and even though the cashier asked for my full order, parts of it still came out incorrectly. I know Cuban bakery culture is fast-paced and "grab and go," but this time it felt like because we weren't regulars, we didn't receive the same warmth or care. At one point, I even felt like the cashier was worried I might walk out without paying -- an uncomfortable feeling I've never experienced here before. They seem to be renovating, and I truly hope it's just growing pains, but things felt disorganized. Someone was offered an item from a handwritten menu, only for another staff member to say it had actually been removed. The digital menu wasn't fully updated either, which added to the confusion. It honestly makes me sad to write this, because Lucerne has always been a special place to me and my family. I'm really hoping they find their footing again after the renovations and get back to the level of quality, flavor, and warmth that made this bakery such a treasure for so many years.
