Cecile is a lovely spot that I'll definitely be coming back to. The quiche was exceptionally well made, buttery, perfectly baked, and full of flavor, and the coffee was smooth and enjoyable, making for a great pairing. The atmosphere is charming, and the service was welcoming. My only suggestion would be to turn the air conditioning up just a little, but overall it was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend. read more

We stopped by this bakery for a sweet treat and ordered 2 canelés and a pavlova. The pavlova was okay, a little bit too sweet compared to others we've had, though we liked the mascarpone in it and the berries which were fresh. We also tried canelés for the first time and enjoyed their texture. We came right around closing time so food wasn't super fresh but still good. This bakery offered both indoor and outdoor seating, with really nice tables and cute decor, offering a great atmosphere. Service was good, though we ordered at a counter and to go. The staff seemed really nice and welcoming. We're looking forward to returning at an earlier time to try fresh pastries, they had a great selection and all looked delicious! read more

Ran into Cecile Bakery + Cafe for a late breakfast around 2:30 PM and had a pretty interesting start to the experience. When we walked in, about four employees stared at us while we were visibly confused about whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. Nobody greeted us or explained the process, so I eventually walked toward the back near the kitchen and asked, "Hi, do we seat ourselves or wait to be seated?" The response I got was simply, "Yes." ...Yes what? I had to ask again before being told we could seat ourselves, but that the kitchen would be closing in 30 minutes. Totally understandable, and we reassured them we only needed a couple minutes to look at the menu. Once seated, our server again reminded us the kitchen was closing soon, which felt a little rushed considering we were ready to order almost immediately. Then when asking whether the breakfast sandwich or the truffle egg bun was better, the response was, "I fu*k with the breakfast sandwich." Honestly, it caught me off guard a bit. The overall service throughout felt awkward, rushed, and not very polished or welcoming. We decided to go with the breakfast sandwich, and then he asked if we wanted a side salad or potatoes. We said potatoes, and also asked if the sandwich could be cut in half. He responded, "The potatoes in half?" We clarified, "No, the sandwich." Then he replied, "Ok... what side would you like?" ...The potatoes Thankfully, the food completely turned things around. We split the breakfast sandwich and it was genuinely delicious. The lattes had a much richer coffee flavor than most cafés, and the pancakes tasted homemade and fresh. For about $50 total, I left satisfied with both the quality and portion sizes. Overall: great food and drinks, but the staff interactions and overall hospitality felt oddly uncomfortable from start to finish. If the service matched the quality of the food, this place would easily be a standout. read more

Service is slow first morning we waited almost 15 minutes to get our order we thought ok let's try again maybe busy next morning still waiting after 20 minus we went up to counter to order bring outside when questioned each waiter thought the other was serving us very unorganized read more

Other than the over enthusiastic front man checking you in, my wife's pancakes were great, but my bacon egg cheese croissant was just fair at best. Service was good. Lucked out with street parking but I could see that as a potential issue. read more

As of recently the service has been so slow & subpar. The food was decent, but something definitely changed. The eggs Benedict recipe because no longer tastes the same. Ordered my eggs Benedict this morning and the eggs were overcooked. Giving it three stars because my oat milk latte was very good and strong. Overall, I don't see myself coming back anytime soon or recommending it unless service changes. read more

Wow, we were pleasantly surprised by Cecile!!! This spot is spectacular. And right across the street from sunset place mall. Every single item we ordered tasted fresh and was uniquely different than any other brunch spot. The interior was clean and beautifully adorned with foliage. The service was great. We started off with the Croffle which was so interesting! It was a croissant smashed into a waffle with maple syrup. It tasted AMAZING!! For our main brunch meal, we ordered the breakfast sandwich and the eggs Benedict croissant. Both of us got sides of the potatos. And WOW WOW WOW!!! First of all, the sandwiches were fantastic. Every item tasted extremely fresh. The side of potatoes was way better than expected. These potatoes were topped with sprinkles of cheese and shaped like little teardrops that were hard on the exterior and essentially melted in your mouth!!! I wish I had these potatoes with my breakfast EVERY day. 10/10 experience at Cecile. Definitely recommend it as a brunch spot. read more

I stumbled upon this little spot by sunset place. There was street parking available which was lovely. It seemed that it was busy at the time we got there but we got seated right away. We didn't really wait long to get our food once we placed our order. The service was great and super fast. The pistachio latte was amazing, you can really get the pistachio essence with every sip. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, the croissant tasted fresh and the bacon was crispy. I really enjoyed everything. My friend had the burger and she really liked it. I will definitely be coming back again, next time to try the French toast! read more

Love this place!! My friend and I got here around 8:30 a.m. right before the restaurant got packed!! My friend ordered a cappuccino and the garden omelette with the Cecile potatoes, and I ordered the cortado with sugar and the eggs Benedict with bacon instead of ham and the Cecile potaotes. The Cecile potatoes are tiny puffs of fried mashed potatoes which are sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. They are delicious, as is everything here! I was here last week and I ordered the exact same thing, except that I requested the eggs poached hard last time. The eggs Benedict is so good that I can't bring myself to order anything else! Our server was friendly and efficient. We were happy with her service. They have street parking for $3.50 per hour or $6.50 for two hours. read more

This is a really cute cafe in South Miami that serves French/American brunch foods made with high-quality ingredients and lots of flavor. The menu has a great mix of options for a variety of tastes, and I highly recommend the French Toast for something sweet and Croque Monsieur for something savory - they're both pretty large portions and can definitely be shared with a side! While this is a great spot and I've been back a couple times since first discovering it, I have to knock off one star for the check-in service and drinks: every time I come here, there's either no one at the hostess stand or the girl there has a bad attitude, and the drinks are ridiculously expensive (like almost $5 for drip coffee expensive) and honestly not worth the price. Besides those two knocks, this really is a lovely spot to enjoy a nice meal with friends and family without having to dress up fancy or break the bank. Street parking is plentiful and very cheap, so stop by Cecile's for your next brunch! read more

Perhaps a brunch/lunch staple in South Miami, Cecile Bakery + Cafe always provides well-made food and friendly service. On this given day, I got the breakfast sandwich with potatoes. The sandwich was good! It got the job done, but to me the real star of the show were the potatoes, which are always so fluffy and warm. A good spot to check out for some French bites! read more

Cecile bakery and cafe is really an excellent breakfast or lunch choice! The food feels really genuinely French; light, fresh, healthy and packed with flavor! I got out of here for $26 with a coffee and breakfast which feels very reasonable for Miami. Don't skip the quiche Lorraine! The service is really excellent here, and the tables stay packed but move quickly so we never have much of a wait time. Definitely a must-try if you are in the area! I have to come back to try some items from the pastry case because WOW! read more

Delightful spot to meet other mom friends in the area. I love the service. Our most recent server was Natalia and she's a sweetheart. the food is delicious! Didn't take any photos as there are plenty already. The service was excellent. Although pretty packed on a Sunday morning, our party of three was seated promptly. This is a wonderful spot for good food and people watching. We will be back! read more

Cecile Bakery + Cafe - Time for breakfast - Bakeries Near Me - Miami, Florida

this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. The food came out all wrong and the waitress disappeared and then we saw her drinking coffee in the back. So we were sitting there with nobody to help us. There kids screaming all over families, letting their kids circles around the restaurant and the staff said nothing. I do not for the service for the ambience. read more

egg benedict's overcooked, food was not served hot. Hope the rest of the menu is better. Always love coming to Cecile. It has the perfect brunch vibe and high-quality food + drinks. I love their breakfast sandwich that comes on a croissant. I went to the South Florida Porsche which this year was held on Sunrise Drive right in front of Cecile Bakery + Café. So, as I could see most of the Porsche show from there, I sat down at a table in their outdoor sidewalk patio. Though it was crowded, I got rather quick and polite service. For my meal, I had their Huevos Iberico which consisted of Fried eggs, chorizo, "Brava" sauce, serrano ham, matchstick fries, Manchego cheese, and sourdough toast. The chorizo was of some of the best in flavors I've ever had. Unfortunately, it was of a very skimpy amount. My partner had their Eggs Benedict Croissant which were poached eggs served with smoked ham, Hollandaise sauce, and a homemade flaky croissant sided with house salad. Overall, I was rather pleased with the food and attentive service. read more

Great spot for breakfast/brunch! Service is excellent and food is always superb. Sad that they took the Asian short rib off the menu, but everything else was amazing. Inside is cute if it's hot outside, but if it's pleasant sitting outside is just fine. Coffee and a pastry is a MUST! read more

Lovely bakery, especially in the morning. Their croissants are delicious, and good selection of tea and coffee. Service is quick and seamless. It gets super busy around 10am and wifi slows down significantly so if you're planning to work from here, plan accordingly. They also don't have any power outlets, so bring your laptop charged. Even when it's busy they don't try to kick you out like some places, so that's nice. read more

Service was ok food likewise. My problem with this visit and it is possibly my last. I ordered some jelly for my toast. A teaspoon full in a small container. Charged me $1.50 for the jelly. Not a happy camper. I won't be back. Too bad I actually like the place although on the high side. read more

Delicious is the best way to describe this brunch style with an emphasis on breakfast place! The short rib sandwich is a little greasy but good. The chicken pillard was awesome on a bed of arugula with a lemon vinaigrette. The eggs Benedict croissant is a popular one. The side salad offered is ok but a good replacement are Cecile's potatoes, which are like a little Hershey's kiss shaped mashed potato with a hard outside. The regular French fries are a good option as well. Desserts are good and is available for grab and go. I tried an individual dessert called La vie en rose. It's a light lemon sponge cake with raspberry and white chocolate in the middle, which was kind of like a jelly. It's was shaped like a rose with a gold flake on top. Service has been great and are seated quickly and rarely wait for a table. The restaurant also has a relaxed vibe with a slight Parisian feel. read more

Place was already get packed when we got there around 10am & they were very accommodating in setting up a table for us outside. Service was great & fast considering the volume. Coffee was delish! Almond croissant was good. Would've liked it a little bit more warmed up. Prices are a bit high for what it was though. It was a nice one time experience. read more

Cute restaurant, the breakfast was great! We felt a little rushed because it was close to 3 pm . That was my only complaint

I only went to pick up some baked goods. I got some plain croissants, chocolate croissants, a palmier and a baguette. All were really fresh and really delicious. It felt like I got it from a bakery in France. Everyone was very kind upon entering, then when ordering, and as we departed. I'll be back for breakfast/brunch/lunch one day soon and will update on food. It looked so great on the people's plates. read more

Terrible service and the manager Geraldine doesn't care about her customers. I've been coming to this place consistently since it opened and the kitchen consistently gets the order wrong. When I complained today the manager Geraldine made no excuse, no effort to fix the problem and brushed it off as nothing happened. She made no effort to make the situation right much less show that she cared. Our server Alfonso was amazing but clearly with a kitchen and manager like this it's impossible to deliver. read more

I went there today for the first time and was amazed by the warm atmosphere, kind service, and most importantly, the coffee and the food. I highly recommend Cecilé Café. I got the eggs Benedict croissant (the portion felt small for the plate size) and the potatoes. The food was also a little cold. I saw the vision with the potatoes, they were mashed and either fried or baked into dollops; however, they were tragically under seasoned. I had a bite of my friends French toast, it was delicious. I like the concept of the eggs Benedict croissant, I think it was executed well, just wish there was a little more. My main complaint is that my meal was interrupted 5 times, from three different waiters who seemed to really need my plate. I still had a quarter of a croissant left and my potatoes. The servers were just really persistent. Maybe something was blocking the food from their vision. I was just enjoying my meal and my friends company, after the fifth ask I reluctantly allowed them to take my plate. Overall pretty good, I will come again. Hopefully after they get their next plate shipment in. read more
