Found this hidden gem on an early Thursday morning and decided to sit outside and have some breakfast. The waiter was nice and very accommodating with the tables as the sun was coming out and it seemed rather sunny where we sat. He also informed us that they had mimosas so why not. We had one to try. Now I'm not big on Mimosas but this was actually really refreshing. The iced coffee and iced matcha were delicious. Love when places has milk replacements - we were able to substitute for oat milk. If this bakery was not so far from me, I'd get my morning coffee here. The breakfast was amazing. Their version of huevos rancheros (which actual name I can't remember right now) was so tasty. It had the right amount of flavor and egg to cheese ratio. The egg scramble was exactly how I make it at home. No runny, watery scrambles over here! Now the star of the show was the Cecile potatoes. When I say these potatoes melt in your mouth I am not exaggerating. It's like a fluffy potato pillow in the cutest little shape and taste. Came to Cecile for breakfast with my best friend and her niece. I've heard a lot of good things about this place so I was excited to try it out. We started off with an iced mocha and a capuchino (not pictured). They were both good. I had the breakfast sandwich with a side salad. It was great. Everything tastes fresh. My best friend had the tuna salad sandwich (not pictured). She said the tuna was regular and the croissant tasted freshly baked. The fries were great, perfect blend of crispy and potatoe-y. The perfect place for a coffee date or study spot! It's super cute inside & they have a good amount of seating! I ordered the Prosciutto Sandwich, it was super yummy, I really liked the bread it came on. I'm very picky about my fries and these were amazing, they were super crispy! Must try French bakery in South Miami. I have been so good at avoiding bread for several months now, but unfortunately it all ended at Cecile's. Words cannot describe their almond croissant. I was rather disappointed by the coffee at Cecile bakery. I ordered a chia tea latte with an additional espresso shot. It tasted like an American cold brew topped with cinnamon at the top. There was no chai flavor whatsoever. The mocha latte was similar. The topped the drink with dry mocha powder which added no flavor to the drink. I have driven by here a few times and it always looks busy so I decided to give it a try. I don't get the glowing reviews for this place. I was not impressed with the food and probably wouldn't return. I had a crepe and in their efforts to try to make it more healthy they make a buckwheat version of a crepe and they failed miserably. A regular crepe would have been much better. It was so dry and crepe was hard and overall not a lot of flavor. It was difficult to finish and probably the worst crepe I have had. Someone else ordered the shakshuka and it was just okay. All food ordered was not hot, lukewarm at best. The coffee was good but that is not enough of a reason to return. Everything else on the menu was pretty basic and could be ordered at any other restaurant serving breakfast. Cecile Bakery and Cafe is a newer addition to South Miami and someplace I can see myself frequenting. If the decor doesn't get you (because it is so pretty... where do y'all get your blue chairs from?!), the food definitely will. There is plenty of seating and a large menu with many options. You can have breakfast, brunch, or lunch; coffee, tea, wine, and beer. On this beautiful day I got the brown rice and lentil bowl with roasted sweet potato, cauliflower, kale, wheat berries, farro, barley, goat cheese, a fried egg, and a slice of sourdough bread. Not only was this yummy and flavorful, it was also very healthy. My friend got the ricotta and smoked salmon on multigrain toast with capers and dill, plus a side house salad. I'm not a huge fan of smoked salmon but Cecile's was delicious. They also have an assortment of baked goods and to-go sandwiches. I ran in a while back and got a quiche which was cooked perfectly. This cafe is right by sunset place with outdoor and indoor seating. There is street parking right in front of the cafe, but if they're taken, there are nearby lots and parking spots a short walk away. There are large tables for big groups, smaller private tables, and a bar top. I have done work here before on my iPad, but this does seem like more of an eatery-cafe than a study cafe. I've gotten chicken paillard, which was very refreshing with the salad and shaved fennel that they put on the dish. I've also gotten the breakfast croissant sandwich which is very delicious! I recommend getting it with the Cecile potatoes on the side, which are fried Hershey-kids shaped whipped/mashed potatoes. The potatoes have a nice crisp outer shell but are like a warm cloud on the inside that just melts in your mouth. For dessert, I love the ambre-crunchy! You can't go wrong with chocolate and hazelnut, and the dessert definition packs those flavors. There are also many other desserts from macarons, tarts, and gelato. The wait time for food is typically not long, and overall I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a new cafe-type of eatery! read more

Great service! Super comfortable, inviting atmosphere! Yummy food and drinks! All at very reasonable prices. I had a late lunch with my daughter here. She had a bottle of the French pomegranate lemonade, a cup of the butternut squash soup, and the breakfast bowl. I had a cup of americano coffee with oat milk and a quinoa tabouleh. The soup could use some more salt, but other than that, everything was delicious. I love that they have so many healthy options on the menu. The coffee was some of the best I've ever had! They also have a great selection of ice cream, pastries and wines. Our waiter was super attentive, even though they were quite busy. The rest of the staff was very helpful with delivering our food, cleaning our table, and bringing us salt, pepper and hot sauce. The seats are very comfortable, soft velvet seats.
