So glad this place came across my social media a while back. We went here for breakfast this morning, and decided to try a little bit of everything. So glad we did! You get seated, then order at the counter, then they bring you food and drinks to you. It was fairly crowded, but didn't take terribly long for our things to come out. I had an iced vanilla latte, above average as far a iced vanilla lattes go. Great flavor, not overly sweet! Pancakes: Nutella with Kit Kat - for the kids, but we all tried it! Very rich, very thick, definitely want to have a drink on hand if you attempt this stack. The little ones were very happy with this option! Dubai Chocolate - the chocolate syrup really helps them go down without needing to add maple syrup. Very sweet, very yummy, the fresh fruit on top is a nice compliment. Favorite of the other 3 adults, some for texture, some for flavor, really a good Tiramisu - so light and fluffy, great flavor, the mascarpone cream was a nice light addition and really completed the flavor palate. My favorite!! Nice little crunch, not excessively sweet, and loaded with toppings. To be clear, they were all super sweet and didn't need syrup for flavor, but couldn't hurt to increase the moisture because the pancakes were very fluffy, and all the toppings were generous, but by the time you got to the bottom of the stack most of the toppings were consumed - we might be a little gluttonous... but this is the hold out on the fifth star, the bottom pancakes only had toppings on the margin that was exposed. The breakfast burrito had lots of fillings in it, I tried a bite, friends were sharing it, but there was plenty for everyone to try! One person ordered a croissant sandwich, the two of them that tried it really enjoyed it. All portions are very generous! For adults and two kids couldn't finish everything. We were immediately hit with an unpleasant odor that can only be described as a dirty mop smell. When ordering at the counter, we couldn't help but notice how unclean the coffee preparation area looked. That alone was enough for us to skip coffee altogether, which says a lot for a brunch spot. They were dense and thick, more like traditional pancakes, when we were expecting something lighter, fluffier, and more soufflé-like. Every weekend I try a new coffee spot and this spot has recently taken over my social media with their pancakes so of course I had to try them. I came with my sister and we had brunch here. Ambiance: The place is super cute and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Customer service was alright. The employees looked stressed. Coffee: My sister I and ordered iced lattes from their specialty menu. She had the iced caramel macchiato and I had the iced tiramisu. The coffee was a huge letdown. They had no flavor whatsoever. They tasted like pure milk. Not a fan. Food: We ordered a main dish which was the breakfast burrito that comes with a croqueta inside and of course the pancakes they are know for. The burrito was delicious and had such a good flavor profile. The dulce de leche pancakes were not good. I would not call these pancakes. They are more like a pound cake. Service was absolutely horrible. First the waiter gave us and another party the same table which ended up with us being asked to get up and move. My friend asked for her iced latte to have honey in it, and instead of putting honey in the warm espresso shot, they gave her a side of honey which could not be mixed into her already iced drink. I paid $12 for a matcha that was a premade light green matcha in a jug... it was not good. After we were seated it we had to ask him to come back after a few minutes to give us menus and a water. I wanted to try Miam as I saw they have a variety of not only menu options, but particularly pancake options. At Miam, you sit down at whichever table you see available, look at the menu, and then you order at the cash register. I ordered the Dubai pancakes and an iced strawberry matcha. My mom ordered the breakfast burrito. The menu says that the Dubai pancakes come with three buttermilk pancakes, milk chocolate, crushed pistachio, kataifi pistachio, strawberry, raspberry, and maple syrup. I felt like the pancakes could have had more milk chocolate possibly between one more layer as it starts to get a little dry after the top layer where all the toppings are. It would have also been nice to have a little larger cup with more maple syrup to help with that. The crushed pistachios and kataifi added a nice little crunch. The strawberries were fresh. Unfortunately, there were no raspberries on my pancakes so those were missing. I ordered my iced strawberry matcha with regular whole milk. It was creamy and refreshing. The breakfast burrito comes with flour tortilla, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, home potatoes, pico de gallo, and sour cream all inside the burrito and a salad on the side. The tortilla was nice and soft. The bacon was crispy and added the right amount of saltiness. The home potatoes were flavorful and well seasoned. A great combination of ingredients for the breakfast burrito overall. Compliments to Yad, one of the employees there, who was the first to greet my mom and I when we came in. She answered our questions and explained the ordering process. She then made sure to clean our table as we were sitting down. She also brought us our food with a smile. Also, please keep in mind there is a 15% gratuity already included. The cashier told me this as I finished ordering with her at the register. In terms of the ambiance, there was some moderate noise, but still good enough to talk and have a conversation. No. I would have to say that this place is pricey only because it's in the gables. The food does not match the price. The coffee is lacking, if you like your coffee bitter this place is for you, personally if I order a mocha coffee I expect it to be sweet, but it wasn't. I had to add four packets of sugar just to get it sweetish. The pancakes are very fluffy and taste good on their own. I tried the KitKat pancakes which were overloaded with Nutella and whipped cream. They are very yummy, but it has so much Nutella I wasn't even able to eat one whole pancake. The chicken sandwich was ok, it would have been better with less coleslaw. Do not try the tiramisu latte. It tastes like milk. It's not great. Maybe adjusting the ratio of milk to coffee to sugar will help the taste, but it wasn't great. The employees are nice and they are very helpful. I had a good experience here once before but now I am not coming back.... The food is definitely overpriced and the service is not very good. Two of my friends order empanadas and they were out of beef empanadas and only had one chicken empanada when they asked them to order a different flavor. When they did come, the empanadas were warm in one side and old in the other and the spinach empanada my friend settled for was not very good. My food the Benedict egg was good but I just don't feel is worth 18 dollars. Also it was super packed and we could barely hear each other, and it seemed like the AC was not working. This corner place next to Bank of A has had probably 6-7 different tenants in last 10 yrs. You order at the cash register and the food is brought to your table service is kind and professional. About a year ago they had a 55% price increase on the tasty Breakfast Burrito to par with 2 other similar coffee, pastry, breakfast-lunch shops on block. We also had the organic egg white breakfast with home style fries, salad which was very good tasting with a de-caf mocha coffee. They recently changed their pancake recipe across all their chains in Miami, over the years I've been to some of their different locations and its just not the same Quality has went down significantly. The only good thing now is their eggs any style. All their pancakes taste bland and they started adding fruit i guess to cover up the fact that they're skimping now? More specifically they give you less syrup and less toppings on all their pancakes (why would fruit be added to a oreo themed pancake?). Also, they recently had given me margarine instead of real butter for our toast, which is a huge no go in my book. Ambiance is ok, I brought my mom to this location a few months ago and ended up being embarrassed since there were gnats flying all around the food! Very gross. Unfortunately they raised their prices as well and I just cannot justify coming here often anymore. Service is just bad. No reservations allowed, and tables are first come first serve. They would leave you waiting for hours on end for a seat that customers would end up fighting over seating. Its kind of a mess to be honest. I came to brunch for the first time with a party of 4. When we walked in, we didn't know whether to wait to be seated, since there was no sign. We later spoke to the server that looked overwhelmed since there were no available tables. I ordered the omelette which was good but nothing to write home about based on their high prices. The breakfast platter was $25.95 which is a typical breakfast that can be found anywhere. Our total bill was $153.00 which is outrageous for what we ordered.
