This franchise is my favorite Cuban bakery franchise. I also like Vicky (I don't know if they still around) and CAO, but Pinecrest is tops for me. I would give an honorary mention to Sergio's and Gilbert. I always get a beef pastelito preparado and a guava n cheese pastelito, with a cafe con leche (lately with almond milk/surcharge). I enjoy the pastries and the coffee.

Pinecrest Bakery nails the Cuban bakery vibe--pastelitos that hit just right, bold café con leche, and a welcoming ambience. The croquetas delicious crunchy and warm the best!

I have never been to this bakery before but needed catering trays for my daughter's school. I easily ordered 2 "bandejas" trays of papa rellena "stuffed potato balls with beef deliciously fried. I arrived at 7am and found out they are open 24 hours!! The bakery was clean and there is an abundance of pastries, fresh coffee, and desserts to select from. My order was ready and the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend ordering online! I will be back to try their coffee which is brewed fresh.

Terrible customer service and a horrible business to tell me to call you and then hung several times

Pinecrest Bakery finally made it to the Grove! This location is across the street from the Douglas Road Metrorail station. Parking is convenient and plentiful. Inside is just like the other locations, a couple of tables here and there. The staff has been very friendly and welcoming. The pastelitos are delicious, I've had lunch here and it's been good as well. I live around the corner, I'll be stopping by regularly!

A really great Cuban sandwich! The cheese and guava rolls are also really nice. Excellent service.

They roast their coffee fresh, and you can actually watch the beans being roasted as soon as you walk in, which is a great experience. We were warmly welcomed by our server/barista who explained the most popular coffee options. The top recommendations were the Cuban coffee with condensed milk and whipped cream, and a more traditional Cuban coffee served simply with water. I tried the one with condensed milk and whipped cream and really enjoyed it. Cuban coffee is quite strong and bold, but this version balanced it nicely. It ended up being my favorite coffee of the entire trip. If I had the chance, I would definitely come back and I would have loved to take some of their coffee beans home as well.

It is right in the heart of Little Havana so there is plenty to walk around and sightsee before or after your visit. Now let's get into the real review, the coffee drinks were strong and delicious, just how it should be. We had no clue what to get but the customer service was top tier. Our waiter just asked about our coffee preferences (hot, cold, strong, sweet, alcoholic, etc.) and chose the perfect options for us. The only reason why I am rating 4/5 instead of 5/5 is just because of the prices. We had two coffee drinks and a small tiramisu that costed $35. It was all great but in my opinion, this was a steep price. However, I would recommend for others to visit this place and I would visit again.

Because parking around Coconut Grove can be tricky (especially on weekends), it took me a couple drive by's to finally make it in, but it was so worth the wait. The matcha itself is one of the most balanced flavor-specific matchas I've found in Miami. So many places make unique matchas with syrups that tend to edge on being far too sweet, but Emissary gets it just right. The mango sticky rice notes shine without being sugary. It's incredibly delicious and has quickly become a constant craving for me. The ambience here is also a huge plus. The space is welcoming and has an inviting, community feel. Definitely elevated, but never snobby. The staff are always so sweet and genuinely kind, making every visit enjoyable. It is also a great pick to work from your computer if you're able to catch a seat at the bar, or anywhere else during laptop acceptable hours. I haven't had a chance to try their food yet, but I've only heard great things and can't wait to come back for a meal. I might even update my review once I do! For now, I absolutely recommend coming here and trying their mango sticky rice matcha, it's easily at the top of my list for matcha in Miami.

I was a bit indecisive on what to order and noticed they offered butter latte, which really intrigued me since I had never tried it before. The kind employee offered me a complimentary one to try, which was such a thoughtful and rare gesture these days. I also ordered the avocado toast, which was simple, flavorful, and really hit the spot. This area was once the lower floor recreational rooms of the house enjoyed by James Deering. These rooms for men's recreation once housed the bowling, smoking, and billiard rooms. You must purchase a museum admission to have access to the gift shop and cafe. In 2017 Hurricane Irma did significant damage depositing three feet of water into the gift shop and cafe. It took three and a half years for this part of the museum to reopen. The historic leaded glass doors alongside the swimming pool and the terrazzo floor in the Smoking Room were restored and the stainless-steel sinks and kitchen tables were refurbished while kitchen equipment was added. Today the newly renovated Vizcaya Café and Gift Shop is managed by A Joy Wallace Catering with an eye towards healthier grab and go food choices. The menu includes appetizers, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, wine, coffee, tea, and desserts. I particularly love that they carry a selection of Tea Forte. There is also a children's menu. Many of the dishes are prepared with herbs grown in the garden. You can eat inside or outside with a view of the garden. The gift shop has a selection of carefully curated items inspired by the history, architecture, and gardens of Vizcaya. They sell books, candles, tea, coffee, ornaments, vases, decorative items, models, mugs, dishes, t-shirts, postcards, towels, coasters, and more. I especially loved a glass monarch butterfly you can hang in the window. It is obvious that the museum put a lot of effort not only into the space of their retail area and cafe but also into the variety of items they sell and the food and drinks they serve. This is one of the nicest museum cafe and gift shops that I have had the pleasure of visiting.

It was ok but un-remarkable. Bread was fresh, but not grilled. The pork was pretty flavorless. The flatbread of the day, again, was ok,but unremarkable. Very heavy on the fig jam and balsamic. Clearly they are trying to be a step up from museum fast food, but not really there yet.
