Coconut Grove has so many cute spots to explore, and this place is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a healthy bite and some delicious coffee. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the kind and welcoming staff. I was a bit indecisive on what to order and noticed they offered butter latte, which really intrigued me since I had never tried it before. The kind employee offered me a complimentary one to try, which was such a thoughtful and rare gesture these days. I also ordered the avocado toast, which was simple, flavorful, and really hit the spot. If you're in the area and want a cozy spot with great service, tasty food, and awesome coffee, this place should be on your list!

Emissary is a great coffee bar to grab a bite to eat and sit enjoy the atmosphere. The space is small but welcoming and cozy. The coffee is delicious and I was also very impressed by their all day menu, even though unfortunately some items were sold out. The only thing keeping me from leaving a higher review is the service. The woman who took our order was a not friendly and made us feel rushed. Besides that, Emissary was a perfect spot for an afternoon pick me up!

I really enjoy my visits to this café. They have really nice coffee and the food is excellent. I love the avocado toast and the pastries from Flour and Weirdoughs are unmatched. Usually the service is good but when it's busy, it can be a little bit slow to get food and drinks. This place is getting super super popular and it's super packed especially on the weekends so that's the only one downside, but I definitely recommend visiting, probably better on weekdays when it's less busy

Thanks to Eli, my first experience at Emissary was so memorable and welcoming. Immediately recognizing it was my first time by my indecision looking at the menu, Eli took it upon himself to bring me drinks to try and thoughtfully explained each one. The level of attention to notice a new customer vs a local is profound service you rarely experience. Coffee is both a passion and an art here. I can't recommend Emissary enough. Thank you Eli!

Emissary Miami presents as an artsy local neighborhood coffee shop, but in reality the team behind Emissary brings to life so much more than just stunning lattes and earthy green matchas (both of which are fabulous). They also create unparalleled ambiance and curate some of the best meals I have had here in Miami. The fusion of fresh, local vegetables from the farmers market, fused with the crème de la crème of a certain imported cheese or wine makes for an unprecedented dining experience, if you're lucky enough to secure a ticket to one of their exclusive dinner parties. I still dream about the heirloom tomato burrata or the citrus supreme tuna fish covered in dill and other fresh herbs. Not to mention the flourless chocolate cake! I have to also mention the bakery case. I came here with my friend who was born and raised in France. We opted to split the sizable ham and cheese croissant. We both adored the elements of rosemary in the ham and the buttery flaky goodness of the croissant, paired with a perfectly appointed yet light layer of cheese. The croissant was flaky and crisp on the outside with a warm and soft interior swirl. Just out of this world! The croissant was served with a side salad covered in a light vinaigrette and several fresh herbs, including basil and mint, which just paired so well with everything. Service is unmatched. Everyone working here has a smile on their face and great energy! I encourage you to visit!

TL;DR - Great coffee and vibes; not ideal for remote workers looking to be productive; not an indoor, dog-friendly establishment. Miami needs more coffee shops (in general), and Emissary does an excellent job stepping up to the plate. I ordered a small drip coffee and the breakfast sandwich. My coffee (brewed with Counter Culture beans) was delicious and the sandwich wad LARGE which I greatly appreciated; however, I would've liked to see it come with a small side like potatoes or tomatoes since I paid $17 for the eggs on a brioche bun. Vibes and music are great and create wonderful atmosphere to catch up with friends on a slow morning. With that said, I was slightly unprepared for their no laptop rule from 8am-2pm because I arrived hoping to catch up on emails and get a little bit of work done. To that end, I do appreciate their intentional effort to encourage conversation/contemplation-- this just might not be the spot for you to crack open a few emails. Finally, I was disappointed to hear they don't allow dogs to stay inside with their owners-- they are only permitted to come inside while ordering. If you intend on being your four-legged friend to sit with you, this might not be the spot for you. Instead, consider checking out Navi!

This place is SO cute!! I love walking in Coconut Grove, and a walk is even better with a nice coffee to go with it. Cue Emissary - this super nice coffee shop and cafe right off of Tigertail and Mary! I opted for an iced cappuccino with vanilla which was delicious. My friend opted for an iced coffee. While we did not dine there, I did spy that they offer Flour and Weirdoughs treats. Anyone who is a fan of F&W is definitely someone I am a fan of, too! Their coffee is also from some of my favorites - the folks at Counter Culture. You know a coffee shop knows what's up when they are brewing Counter Culture. I must return to try their breakfast , sandwiches, and salads as their menu looks quite tasty. It seems like a good place to co-work as well. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area - but there are usually spots down tigertail, as well as a garage in the same building on oak ave.

I want to firstly share that I have been trying to come here each weekend and there's no parking. I am deeply disappointed with the place. The aesthetics are 10/10 great for photos and Instagram. But the coffee not so much. I got an iced cappuccino and it was tiny. I got the pistachio milk . You can't even taste the flavor . I am a big coffee fan and this spot was not it. I asked a Barista if this is the pistachio and she said yes. Without any further explanation. Overall not the best customer service. The almond croissant was good from Flour and Weirdoughs a local Miami bakery. I saw another yelp review where the Iced Cappuccino looked completely different. The place is tiny as well. Not really a cozy coffee shop. More of a high end feel. I am willing to give it another try. Maybe I need to order something else.

Love, love, love Emissary!!! So happy it opened right around the corner from my office. Not a fan of Sadelle's so this is my go-to. Very cool, laidback vibes, everyone who works there is super nice, always playing great music & full of the most adorable Grove puppies. Love their matcha lattes, pistachio croissants & their avocado toast! Everything is not only beautiful to look at but DELISH! Definitely stop in if you're in the area.

Very cute coffee counter in the Grove! I love this concept! I love how light and airy it is in there. Perfect place to post up and get some work done and enjoy some coffee! I ordered an iced latte with pistachio milk! it was delicious high quality coffee. It came in a glass with a lot of ice, which kept the coffee nice and cold! For food i tried an item that debuted the day i was there, i cant find it on the menu now but I believe it was called le jiffy! It was a veggie sandwich and the ingredients tasted SO fresh. The ciabatta had such a nice flavor and the tomatoes, avocados, and arugula were dressed with EVOO and the perfect amount of salt and pepper. The plates were so cute I sat at the bar and enjoyed my food and coffee. Im going to be extra pickyyy and say the one downfall is the staff is not that friendly. I tried making conversation to a few of them and they didnt really want to talk to me LOL. Traditionally baristas are a little more talkative and upbeat. But i understand they may be stressed because they just opened. Anyways, I would definitely return!! This place is great.

I've heard great things of this new spot in the Grove so wanted to check it out for breakfast. On their menu online they have certain items until 12pm and others afterward so made it before 12 to try items on both menus. As I entered, I was not really greeted and the barista that took my order wasn't the friendliest so I tried for that not to ruin my experience. I ordered an iced latte along with the egg and cheese brioche breakfast sandwich and the egg scramble and toast. It was a busy weekend so I was lucky to find one spot to sit. The decor is really nice and modern yet minimalist. I received my coffee and it was delicious. They use counter culture coffee, which has great espresso. It took about 35 minutes to receive the food and it was given to me in to-go containers. I guess the barista thought I wanted the food to go? We unpacked the food and ate it there. The manager was really kind and apologetic for the delay. He gave us a chocolate chip cookie to try and another coffee. The breakfast was truly delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked and great flavor. The brioche was soft and pillowy. The toast was crunchy and flavorful. Their butter and jam was also a really nice touch. The cookie was also really good. They use Flour & Weirdough pastries and bread and it's definitely great quality. Would definitely return to this spot and try some additional food and drink items. They have a nice menu with lots of options.

Come to try their sticky mango matcha. Quite tasty wished they put less ice on their drinks, so ensure you ask for lite ice. It was quite busy but service was fast.

This area was once the lower floor recreational rooms of the house enjoyed by James Deering. These rooms for men's recreation once housed the bowling, smoking, and billiard rooms. You must purchase a museum admission to have access to the gift shop and cafe. In 2017 Hurricane Irma did significant damage depositing three feet of water into the gift shop and cafe. It took three and a half years for this part of the museum to reopen. The historic leaded glass doors alongside the swimming pool and the terrazzo floor in the Smoking Room were restored and the stainless-steel sinks and kitchen tables were refurbished while kitchen equipment was added. Today the newly renovated Vizcaya Café and Gift Shop is managed by A Joy Wallace Catering with an eye towards healthier grab and go food choices. The menu includes appetizers, salads, hot and cold sandwiches, wine, coffee, tea, and desserts. I particularly love that they carry a selection of Tea Forte. There is also a children's menu. Many of the dishes are prepared with herbs grown in the garden. You can eat inside or outside with a view of the garden. The gift shop has a selection of carefully curated items inspired by the history, architecture, and gardens of Vizcaya. They sell books, candles, tea, coffee, ornaments, vases, decorative items, models, mugs, dishes, t-shirts, postcards, towels, coasters, and more. I especially loved a glass monarch butterfly you can hang in the window. It is obvious that the museum put a lot of effort not only into the space of their retail area and cafe but also into the variety of items they sell and the food and drinks they serve. This is one of the nicest museum cafe and gift shops that I have had the pleasure of visiting.
