This place is open 24 hours so no matter what time you have the munchies or have a caffeine craving you can surely know this place will save you. We came in to order some small coffees and a couple of empanadas. The service from the lady employees is great and they are highly attentive. This is a busy spot but they are fast and everything we ordered was delicious.

Pistachio cheesecake

Cafe con leche, large, strong, sweet, with condensed milk. Chicken croquettes, guava and cheese pastalitos. Pistachio cheesecake and fresh squeezed orange juice. This is the deliciousness that you can expect at Pinecrest bakery. Atmosphere is incredibly friendly! Employees are so nice...very sweet and cute. Great place to enjoy some Cuban pastry and coffee in Miami!

Beef pastelitos and toast to dip in coffee
Eddie H.

We were lucky we got there before the rush. Poor woman was only one behind the counter. Our cafe con leche was more milk than coffee. The toast, beef pastelitos were very good. The place is spotless. Parking is a challenge and getting out of the parking lot. Beef pastelitos was worth it.

Pan con Bistec

Overall, the food is delicious. In comparison, the pan con bistec has been the best one compared to other restaurants and bakeries nearby. The pastelitos are delicious and fresh . Also, there's parking, so it's very easy to order and pick up food. Service was good because my order was ready within 10 to 15 minutes. Inside there's seating available for those who want to dine inside .

There was literally dirt/mud at the bottom and I took my first bite and it felt like biting into sand. Upon spitting the food out onto my plate it was black sludge. Literally my tongue and teeth were black. The waiter came by and grabbed the plate when I was in the bathroom. I spent about 10 minutes trying to get that BLACK SLUDGE out of my mouth. When I was spitting out the dirt/mud wife noticed the bus boys laughing at me and there was not a manger in sight. When I asked for a manager he did not even respond. No apology or anything just a look of confusion. Worst experience in a restaurant in my life and I love to eat and have been to many types of restaurant big and small. Cheap and expensive and this one takes the cake. We were so bummed as I see thousands of great reviews. But if there was a zero I would have given zero stars the way they handled the situation. If you eat there in the future make sure to check for DIRT/MUD.

Appears like a large building from the outside but is actually a small quaint space that is clean and well kept. Service was awesome and we felt welcome even though it was quite clear we were tourists traveling in. I imagine this place runs in to out of towners a lot but they treated us kindly and, if we lived here, we would definitely put this spot on rotation. Our sandwiches were amazing. My partner got the one with plantains in it and that one definitely stole the show. I liked my tinta y cafe sandwich, but her's was a star. The cafecito and lattes were on point too and a truly great breakfast meal. Pair that with the rain pouring down outside it made for a truly memorable experience and quick bite.

My favorite is the La Caleña -- turkey, prosciutto, manchego cheese, tomato, red onion, fresh cilantro, and house-made cilantro mayo. Tons of flavor and a good size. I could only finish half, which worked out perfectly to share. I love their fresh juices. The maracuyá (passion fruit) juice is my go-to and never disappoints. Cozy vibes. Simple décor with vintage Miami newspaper prints and old cameras. My only gripe is that they didn't have almond milk available, which felt a little surprising for a coffee shop these days. Overall, great food, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a cozy local vibe. We will definitely be back.

We ordered a ton, and right off the bat: if you love croquetas and empanadas, order extra. They're on the smaller side and come individually, but they are so good they disappear fast. The beef empanadas were a 10/10 perfectly seasoned and crispy. The chicken empanadas didn't hit the same for me, but the jamón croquetas? Absolutely insane. A must. For appetizers, the prawns al ajillo were delicious super flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was good, but not my favorite. It leaned a bit bland for my taste, even with the sauce. Now, the must-get: the carnitas with pickled onions. Easily one of the best dishes of the night so flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced. For entrées, we had the ribeye steak and arroz con pollo, plus sides of tostones and yuca. Everything here delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right not overly salty. The arroz con pollo was phenomenal, the kind of dish you could eat every single day. The tostones were crispy and tossed in garlic, which took the flavor to another level, and the yuca was melt-in-your-mouth good. I also ordered a mojito, which unfortunately was very watered down, I barely got any of that classic mojito flavor. Service overall was solid, especially considering how loud the restaurant gets it was honestly hard to hear each other at the table, so shoutout to our server for keeping everything straight. The appetizers came out quickly, back-to-back, which we loved. The only downside was the wait for the entrées they took quite a while after we finished the apps, even though we ordered everything at once. Overall, amazing food, great energy, and definitely worth going just be prepared for a lively (and loud) atmosphere.

You can't beat having a fake cocaine brick (at least I think) sitting at your table amidst the menus and drinks. They have regular silverware but do use plastic cups that gives off that relaxed, casual vibe. There are several craft beers from all over the country available from $7-10, and I believe a couple house wines. I think the nicest drink you can get is a frozen lemonade or fruit punch. It comes virgin and a little sugary, a little coarsely icy, a lot refreshing. But you can ask for a shot of rum to be added to it. I could drink 3 of those if I allowed myself to! I have tried friends' Cuban dishes, like yuca fries, tostones, rice and beans, which have all been standardly good. But I always get drawn to the Greek menu and end up ordering the plates. The plates are huge and come stacked with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, a beautifully dressed salad, tzatziki, hummus and pita slices. You have a choice of side, and I have unashamedly ordered the crispy, crunchy fries each time and have plenty to share. The proteins are clearly made freshly---the falafel is crisp and the chicken kebab is well seasoned and moist. However, they come up with creative and tasty offerings as well. The Cuban Sandwich Empanadas are stuffed with juicy pulled pork, ham and melty cheese for a snack you didn't realized you had been waiting for. The Greek egg rolls blows my mind and are a great hot, greasy, juicy, meaty treat. The servers are typically on it when it comes to orders and whatever you need. Owner Adrian keeps his staff on point, and JJ is always a friendly face when we go. They inform us at the time to pay (at least in my experience) that 18% gratuity is automatically added to the check, so the tip page is for any additional gratuity. Give yourself a stop by this restaurant and try their dishes for yourself! I dare you to be able to choose just one or two!

My complaint could possibly just be a me issue, so give them grace and let me know. First, we ordered app., Mariquitas. They were terrible, we had to send it back. To the person that had walked in ordered and received my order in 5 min. In their mind that was great service, while I'm dying of starvation. The server apologized and offered a discount. Then, chicken was tough, and the rice was grainy. For context purposes, keep in mind that that was my first meal of the and it was around 5p, so you know I was hangry. Hopefully it was a me problem. Try them and let me. Finally, the artwork there is cool if you are into Scarface and the cocaine era of Miami. Dope! No pun intended. I really like the decor

Chug's is the kind of place that screams comfort for food. There is nothing fancy here. Just beautiful, indoor and outdoor seating in a diner type atmosphere with excellent food and even better service. I must admit that, even in major cities like New York and Miami the parking gods smile on me. As is strangely usual for me, as I drove up to the restaurant on a busy Sunday morning, someone pulled out only steps away from my destination, leaving me a space to pull into. Walked up to the restaurant since they do not take reservations on Sunday mornings and put my name in. I was informed of the wait, which was not a problem because it was a beautiful day to walk around. I peruse the neighborhood, seeing other lovely restaurants and shops before being informed that my table was ready quite quickly. It was a gorgeous day to sit outside, but the first table that opened up was indoors, and it was kind of nice to enjoy the ambience of an old style diner. Perused the menu, which was quite nice, but told I could only order from the brunch menu, which was a little bit restrictive. We ordered La Completa with smoked salmon, a pancake with Nutella and bananas, and a milkshake and french fries for dipping pleasure. Everything was excellent. Service was over the top good. Really enjoyed it and will be back. I always feel I have to explain why I leave four stars instead of five at a restaurant that I love. In this case it is specifically because there was nothing creative about the pancake. They start with an exquisite preparation, but do nothing to make it extraordinary. For example, served with fruit compote and nuts or ice cream and sliced fruit or any other creative arrangement could really elevate the dish, making it both picture worthy and enticing to return to try more options. Despite that minor criticism, I really love this place and will be back and even try other meals here. Oh and don't forget to hold my parking space.
