It's tough to stick to a diet when you see the display of delicious looking desserts here! There are pies, cakes, cookies, bars, ice cream, and other goodies. And it smells so good on top of it all! We did an online order and picked it up. It was ready on time. We didn't have to wait at all. The employee was nice and had our order ready. We ordered a Chocolate Chip cookie, a Magic Bar, a Red Velvet Cake slice, a Cookie Monster pie slice, and a Guava White Chocolate Chip cookie. This will be split with my daughter and slowly eaten over 3 days during Mother's Day weekend. They all look delicious! We lucked out and got a parking spot across the street and walked over. The shop is located in the heart of Coconut Grove where there are lots of shops and restaurants and people. It is always busy in this area. There is a second location in Midtown.

You tell me what this is. It's supposed to be a slice of pie

One star for a terrible experience here. We had a guava pie slice delivered, and it arrived looking like it had been mashed up into a jam. It was completely runny with half the filling missing and no crumb top. Awful. I've posted a picture of what it looked like upon arrival. I called to ask about it, and the airheaded shift manager told me the batch had come out bad. When I asked why on earth they would send a slice of pie from a bad batch, he just said the quality of the pie wasn't their responsibility. Wild response. If you know something is defective, you don't send it out to paying customers. We're done with this place. Do yourself a favor, and find a better place to get dessert.

First time coming here. The chocolate chip cookie was so good. Extra chocolate chips. We also had their 3s leche cake and that was also good, except it had a bit too much cinnamon for my liking. Not lots of places to sit here but it seems like a place to go and get your dessert and eat elsewhere. The staff were extremely nice and patient. Decorated with Christmas stuff it was great. Will come back to try more things.

Fireman Derek's Bake Shop never disappoints! Everything is fresh, delicious, and perfectly made. A must-visit spot for desserts.

We ordered a carrot cake and it did not disappoint! So rich in flavor and filled with add ins and the richest cream cheese icing! Definitely worth the price and great service all around. Would definitely stop by to check out more of the sweets if we lived here. Not much seating inside but music is playing softly and it is an option although it seems most people take their orders to go.

Man, for me to not like a dessert joint is saying slot. I live in the grove, I've come time and time again back to Fireman Derek's and I've left disappointed every single time. The staff is nice enough, and inside is always clean and tidy, that's never the problem. The peaches and cream cake cup was completely inedible; the peaches were rotten, and it was pure sugar. I wanted to love it, it looked good, but it was terrible. $10 for a mediocre slice of pie? What a ripoff, never again.

If you have a sweet tooth... you HAVE to visit Fireman Derek's. They sell so many delicious cakes and guess what. They can make it into a shake! Literally. The cake is made into a shake. We chose the cookies and cream, coconut custard, and red velvet. It was the BOMB. We loved it. Very cute place as well to hang and enjoy. Thank you for the great experience and sugar rush!!

I love gelato and ice cream as much as anyone, but when you need a REAL TREAT head here. It's so hard to pick, so we got two to split. Chocolate peanut butter and the Cookie Monster. I couldn't pick a favorite from the two, so a split was definitely the way to go. Twice the goodness.

We heard about this spot in a local food publication and had to give them a try. We were not disappointed with our selection of a slice of key lime pie and pecan pie. We grabbed our pies and took advantage of the sidewalk seating area. Make sure you stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!

Love this place! Not the first time I've been here and every-time I get a pie from here, I love it. I've had the pecan (my favorite) the banana cream, the apple crumble and some others I don't remember. All I know is that every pie I've had here has been delicious and Fireman Derek's remains my favorite pie place. They have ice cream, cookies and cake as well! I'll definitely keep coming back

I had always heard about the delicious pies at fireman Derek's, but since my family was visiting, I had to go and try it for myself! I had the cookies and cream pie which was phenomenal ! It had so many Oreo cookies and it was layered with a soft chocolate. So melt and your mouth and so good! My sister had the Cookie Monster that had crushed chocolate chip cookies and crushed Oreos. She loved hers too! My dad tried the apple pie, which was not standout in his opinion, leading to my deduction in a star. Other than that, we loved it! The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly!

I heard so much about this place, I had to try it. I got a slice of key lime pie and a slice of red velvet. I loved the red velvet, moist and delicious. I devoured it - a little each night for dessert until all of it was gone from my fridge. The key lime pie I didn't like - good try, but if you've had Kermit's key lime pie in Key West you would know why I didn't like this one. The filling had a fake lemon flavor taste to it and the crust did not taste good either. Service was very friendly and fast. It's a small shop mostly for picking up a slice. They have whole pies and cakes too.

A $10.16 slice of Tajin Key Lime Pie
    Kris F.

$10.16 for a slice of Tajin Key Lime pie. A slice. One measly slice. A slice of an entire pie of key lime was ten dollars and sixteen cents. Think about that. Even the staff was horrified when I brought it up. One even said, "the prices are why I don't eat here." Has the world gone mad? Ten dollars and sixteen cents for a slice of pie. Holy crap that's insane.
