They do have cocktails if you'd like but I just had this hibiscus tea with some lemon which was refreshing and very light and my brother had an iced matcha. The service was good, our server was very bubbly. It got a bit busy and I think she forgot about us towards the end when we were waiting for her to come around again with the check. I had the grilled cheese with tomato soup and I will say the grilled cheese was to die for. The cheese had bacon melted into it. It was such a filling meal for me, I absolutely loved it. I had a side of hash brown as well and it was perfectly splendid, it had a crispy finish to it. My brother loved his avocado toast, he ate it all to the last bite. Parking can be tricky, there is street parking. If not there's a garage a couple blocks down. I guess since it's in the heart of the gables it can be kinda busy. An absolute gem! I'm mad that I never ate there before. We went on Easter Sunday for a late breakfast. We did not reserve but they were able to sit us outside, it was a beautiful day. We probably had 3 different servers, I loved how they all worked together. They were all friendly and polite; Alegra was the one we talked to the most, she was terrific. On to the food, we loved it! We had a Morrocan Spice Avo Toast with a poached egg, it was delicious!! Had to take half home. We also ordered Pope Benedict and WOW was it good. The hash browns were crispy, the eggs were perfect and the cauliflower purée delicious. I wanted there to be more of it! We also had a perfectly made latte served in a glass who I love and a calming refresher, so good. If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and go! I wasn't a really big fan of the smell of the inside of the place it smelled like they may have not changed the oil they are using when frying. Which is why I chose to eat outside. Stopped by late Saturday morning- wanted breakfast. We went to our usual spot, but they stopped making breakfast. UUGGGHH! E walked down the corridor just checking other spots out and we came upon Threefold. So cute and inviting! The employees are all nice, the owner is a doll!!! It's a nice family atmosphere, there's a little corner for the kiddies- just a gem! I ordered the mega mushroom omelette- it sounded great, but it was a little weird tasting. I wouldn't suggest it. My friend ordered the breakfast sanga- she liked it! We ordered chili mango mimosas as well as a grapefruit mimosa. They were just ok. What a great find! Searching on Yelp for a spot for a good latte and breakfast while I was in town and this one surfaced to the top. Great selections on the menu with plenty of options with friendly service. It has a wonderful seating area outside and enjoyed the early morning cool air on my visit. The side hashbrown was ginormous, it was so huge and crispy, although it did lack flavor, i had to add salt and used hot sauce to give it some flavor. I really enjoyed the tomato jam, it gave the sandwich a delicious lightly sweet flavor among the savory herb mayo. I didn't really care for the egg inside my sandwich. We enjoyed the Strawberries and Cream french toast with a hash brown and bacon as well as the avocado toast. The coffee was good and hot and the pomegranate juice blend was on point. I had been looking forward to trying Threefold Cafe for a while. The service was excellent! and the inside of the cafe was pretty cute, but the food was a bit underwhelming. I had an avocado toast, which came with a very generous amount of avocado, but the bread underneath was soggy and not toasted, which threw off the balance. I also tried the Pope Benedict. The egg was overcooked, it felt more like a hard boiled egg, and the flavor overall was pretty flat. The proportion of the hash brown base was much larger than expected and felt out of balance with the rest of the dish. It was actually yummy but please think to add a small salad or SOMETHING else to the plate? Or even suggest adding a side. A breakfast place that doesn't know how to cook eggs properly. This place was dead on a Saturday and after eating there I can see why. Lattes were weak and served in a glass cocktail cup with no handle instead of a mug which means it is too hot to hold and drink. You have an espresso bar, why don't you have proper glassware? Ordered over easy eggs and one side was completely burned with brown marks and egg yolk was completely cooked. Chef should have thrown this away and remade but instead sent it out. Asked them to remake it and this time only one side was cooked and the other side was completely uncooked and white part was slimy. Gave up and canceled the egg order. Avocado toast was good with good amount of avocado but bread slice was small. For $16, I don't think the value is there. Server was nice. At First Watch you can get an avocado toast with 2 eggs included for $13. I would not return. read more
