Then they brought the wrong drink but instead of trying to correct the order the wait staff just walked away and the waiter didn't pass by for another 15 minutes so we could tell her about the drink issue. Usually 1st Watch is a pretty consistent chain. This location is the slowest location I've ever visited. They weren't busy, had plenty of staff, but everything took forever. I come to this restaurant every so often for a nice breakfast. I'm not big on breakfast but this place is great - because they have lunch options even for breakfast. :) I've had anywhere from their salads to their skillets...and everything is always top notch and delicious. My son really likes the tomato soup. I do have to say, get there early, because the place has limited hours and it gets absolutely packed. Service started off great, I ordered the Chimichurri steak and eggs, once the plate arrived. I noticed I had no steak. I stared separating all the meat I could find and what a disappointment. Only a spoon full of meat. I took pictures for proof. I let the staff know about the absurd portion of the meat. The cook came to us and explained, this is our most complained issue but we are only allowed to serve 3oz of meat. I don't blame any of the staff for their work, but the greed of the management, I ended up getting an omelette instead. Not worth the wait holy crap they definitely deserve the 1 star! I came in for a solo breakfast and sat at the bar. I was able to be seated right away even though the restaurant was really busy. To drink, i had the hot chocolate and the purple haze. The chocolate was a bit watery. The purple haze i did not like due to the lavender, but that is just personal preference. To eat I ordered the waffle with chocolate chips, bacon and eggs. I just moved to Florida from the west coast- and wanted a breakfast that reminded me of home. So glad Doral has one of my go to breakfast joints! I visit around 11AM this morning, and the place was definitely a hot spot! I was greeted at the door by a nice guy who asked whether I wanted to sit inside or outside. I chose inside at the bar since I hate waiting! I'm working on patience!!! Once I sat at the bar, Mariana came and cleared up my little area. She was super nice, accommodating and patient! I have been wanting to try First Watch out for a long time now. I'd heard great things and was glad to discover they were true! My bestie and I went around 10 am on a Saturday morning. It looked packed but we received a 15-20 minute wait time and it flew by. It seemed to get even more packed in that time, so maybe best to come early if possible. The food was good, with a good portion size. We both loved the fresh juices and got the Morning Meditation. Delicious, and looking forward to trying more of their juices. The food was good, and the service was fine, but nothing stood out as memorable or great. What really took away from the visit was the tight seating arrangement. We were seated very close to other diners, to the point that I noticed people clearly listening in on our conversation, which made things incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. It wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't one I'd go out of my way to repeat either. This was my first time at First Watch and now I understand the hype! We put ourselves on the online waitlist prior to getting there and thank god we did because the line was out the door. Once we arrived we were seated right away in the outdoor patio. Our server (who was so nice) offered us hot coffee and explained the menu right away. My friend got the honey caramel crunch iced coffee which she loved but it was a little too sweet for my taste. I just got a regular iced coffee with oat milk but it hit the spot. For our meals I went with the BLT Benedict but I subbed the bacon for the chicken apple sausage. Which was delicious! Halfway through the meal I noticed they forgot the avocado and our server was so nice about it. She asked if I wanted them to redo the whole meal but of course it wasn't that serious! Instead she brought a plateful of avocado. My friend got the market hash and she said it was so good. The toast that came with this dish was out of this world good and our server let us know you could buy a whole loaf if you wanted! The surprise hit of the meal was the Honey Caramel Iced Coffee. I was nervous it would be overly sweet, but it ended up being just right for me -- smooth, balanced, and delicious. My only tiny gripe was that the cup was heavy on ice, so it felt like there wasn't much coffee in there. Still, I'd order it again in a heartbeat. One note: when we were first seated, we were offered American coffee. As a first-timer, I wasn't sure if that was complimentary or an extra charge. Personally, I don't love when things that aren't clear end up on the bill, especially if it's not something the table is excited about. Just a note for anyone wondering. Also, coffee selection is not reflective of the community it serves, I was looking forward to having an espresso, colada, or cortadito and none of those are offered. Just a friendly FYI. Stopped in this location yesterday as it was not as crazy busy as it normally is. The foods was so delicious. I had the trifecta with the waffle. The syrup is served so warm. It was so delicious. Again, the turkey sausage was fantastic. The traditional breakfast with my other guest said it was really good. Hot, fresh and delicious. The service was okay. A service attitude started out great, and they were very friendly, making suggestions of what to order. I was impressed that they did not even have a notepad to write down the order and committed it all to memory. However, a little less impressed when it came time for them to bring our meals and they brought us something completely random then walked off. When we were able to track down one of the runners, they then got our server which took some time and our server told us they thought we had ordered this extra dish. That would have meant three main dishes for two people. A little later, they brought the correct food to my husband The food was a four out of five . Servers attitude combined with three out of five. More Miss Than Hit Two visits, same letdown. I really wanted to love this place. I even gave it two chances but nothing here wowed me. The potatoes were hard both times and both times I had to send them back to be cooked longer. The egg dishes are just... fine. Nothing memorable. And they do not even butter the toast which feels like the bare minimum for breakfast. For a place built around the most important meal of the day I was hoping for comfort and flavor. I first tried First Watch in St. Petersburg and was so impressed by it and had been longing to go again. So when I saw that there is one close to me I was super happy to go! Everything I have ever tried at FW has been phenomenal! I love that it's a healthy joint but has so much flavor and deliciousness that you feel soooo satisfied while eating there. The aesthetics of this place is cute, clean, modern and fun! The service was really nice and on point! Now for the food, we tried a blueberry and carrot pancakes. The blueberry was my favorite! I must be honest, I didn't feel there was enough carrot flavor in the carrot cake pancake but it was still good! But if I had to order pancakes again, I'd probably go for the blueberries or try a new flavor! The syrup was so warm and thick! I loved it!! The drinks are amazing! We had two different drinks. Please look at the pictures bra cause I don't really remember the names. I'll try to tag from the menu! My mom and I split our entrees, which were the eggs Benedict, BLT style (cooked PERFECTLY), and the elevated egg sandwich. They were essentially the same components prepared differently, and they weren't skimpy with the toppings. My girlfriend got one of the tri-fecta breakfasts that offer a pancake, and it was HUGE. Only negative was that there were no alcohol options, I wonder if they just don't have a drink license. Honestly, not a huge factor, but worth mentioning. A plus, however, the side potatoes are only around $3?! Amazing if you ask me. The server was attentive enough but lacked some personality. It was a Saturday around noon, so for a busy time. I think she did exactly what she needed to, so no complaints! It's a cute spot, but the seating can be a bit cramped if you're not in a booth. It's doable, but you are pretty close to others, so it can get quite loud and hard to hear those across from you. If you have issues with tight spaces, ask for a booth! Great food, service and atmosphere. Of course I met the bathroom since I was with my twins...we can never go to a restaurant or anyplace without having to visit the bathroom. With that being said it is kept clean. I like that it's private bathrooms and they have a total of 4 if I'm not mistaken. If you get there on a weekend after 10am you best believe there's a wait of 20 minutes minimum. Anyways everything we ordered we enjoyed. The waffles, pancakes, million dollar bac9', million dollar potatoes, the chia fruit bowl and so on. My least favorite which I won't order or pick as a side is the sausage. read more
